hey guys, I was diagnosed with short term memory back in high school...teachers were made aware of this issue & I was given extra time to take tests/study. A few years have passed since then, but I find that I seem to be forgetting things quicker than I used to. For instance, I couldnt even remember the name of a movie I saw with my friend two days ago or our conversation....sometimes conversations hours after they have occurred. is there anythinng I can do to help improve my memory???
I have short term memory and have had it most of my life, I cant work and i feel very ashamed because i cant remember directions or a number ive been told just after ive been told them. I was abused as a child, sexually, mentally and physically as a child. I have depression and have panic disorder. Would that have somthing to do with my memory beeing so bad?
I am 28 yrs old. I have IC. I have been having recent short term memory loss. I do not use drugs nor have I had any trauma. What might be the cause of this. I am not having any other symptoms of anything but not able to remember things of short term unless they are significant. I can't remember things that I even did yesterday. worst part is that I do not have insurance to get to a doctor to have tests ran to receive help that I might need to help find out what I have going on.
t wake up in her usual time, lately she woke up and when I talked with her she was unable to answer me properly, she was having difficulties in short term memory, she was unable to tell me whether it is morning or night, I asked her what time is it she said its night, I asked then why there's sunlight if it is night then she get confused and said i dont know may be its evening.
I've been experiencing some really irritating short-term memory loss problems (for myself as well as other people). I am 35, female and trying to figure out why and how I can improve this. My husband had a very large Pineal Meningioma Tumor removed 1-7-11. He has no short term memory. I believe in miracles but medically I feel/know his memory won't every come back. This is a rare situation as Pineal Meningioma Tumors are rare. The tumor was right in the middle of his head above the brain stem. He also had to have a VP shunt. His quality of life is so sad because he doesn't make new memories and has lost so much memory that he once had.

I'm 36, healthy, ideal weight and I find that my short term memory is depleting at a rapid rate. What can I do or take to help with this....I have tried the B12 liquid but I notice no change. This problem is getting really embarrassing at the point I must write everything down or I will forget.

i am a 29 yearold malei was borm with Short term memory loss its really hard to learn anything, i get so uninterested so far into learning whatever it may be, its hard for me to find a job but the one i had for2 years in construction it was mainly me and my boss going to his rentals repairing them but when he needed me to get a tool or something from his truck id go get it and by the time i got to the tool bag in the truck i totally forgot what i even came out there for so i had to stand there
My husband had an stroke 6 years ago in his thalamus which caused him to be confused, short term memory loss, some long term memory loss,etc. The good news is that he regained almost all of his functioning, but some small short term memory issues. 3 weeks ago he worked in the yard in 100 degree temps for several hours. The next day he woke up with the same symptoms as the stroke 6 years ago and we assumed he had another stroke.
She has also been suffering, for the same amount of time, with short-term memory loss to the point that she forgets what she is trying to say halfway through a sentence or conversation, will completely forget what we are watching on television during a 3-minute advert break, she also becomes confused very easily recently.

Hello, Sarah. My husband (age 57) had a hemorrhagic stroke last year in July. The stroke mainly struck his eyesight. He now has double vision. His short term memory was affected but it has gotten a lot better. It is still very early in your moms recovery. I would say the short term memory will get better, but, how much is anyones guess. My husbands doctors never once said anything about Alzheimers. Find out what areas of your moms brain was hit.
Hi Doc! I'm 22 Male. During 1st n 2nd weeks of May'09, I was a victim of repeated hitting on the head(when am asleep) by my roommate who has lot of psycho qualities. The guy sits on my belly area facing my head and pushes his knee forcibly enough in to my ribs, directly above my heart and applies lot of pressure until I scream with heavy pain and shock.
I think most- if not all- of us with this have memory issues. Especially short term memory. And concentration. These are just the unfortunate symptoms of this condition. I have asked for meds to help- thinking ADHD med might help with concentration, but my NS said that it's not the same, and the ADHD meds won't work. Unless you have ADHD.
