Common Questions and Answers about Short menstrual cycle after pill

menstrual-cycle

Avatar f tn I want to know if it is possible to take the pill to regulate my cycle, as well as to lessen the cramps and the bleeding. I have had two periods since I had my son the first one was short and sweet but the second one was awful. I had to change every hour. I have never had cramps or extremely heavy bleeding but now I have both. I don't even get any relief pain wise until I take four pills. I don't want to get into to much detail but its bad.
1654035 tn?1332425178 I had a short cycle (and irregular) after years on the pill. My cycle was 23 days and ovulate on day 16. I took vitamin B6 for a month and stretched me enough to fall pregnant.
Avatar f tn I got my period on the 5th of december. I took the morning after pill on the 14 of december. I then started my period again on the 22nd of december. Should I have expected for my regular period to come on the 5th of january? And would I have ovulated again after this second period?
Avatar n tn Given that I was on the pill for so long, does it take time for my cycle to normalize? I have no idea what the length of my cycle was prior to starting the pill. Thanks for any advice.
Avatar f tn anyone experience abnormal menstrual cycle post baby. My son is 2 months. I had my first cycle July 14 th which lasted over 3 weeks. I'm due this week & have yet to start!' ?!!
Avatar f tn stress can mess up your cycle, so can diet and many other factors. have you started taking the pill or any other hormonal contraceptive? have you recently stopped using the pill, contraceptive? your doctor needs to do some futher investigation into this.
Avatar f tn However, the important thing is toknow your own body and menstrual cycle, and visit your OB/GYN when you experience a period that is irregular for you. Your OB/GYN will discuss your options with you. These may include dietary and lifestyle changes, oral contraceptives, or surgery, depending on the nature of the irregularities. If the irregularity isn’t a medical issue, or causing you discomfort, you may not require treatment at all!
Avatar n tn have you tried vitamin B6 this is good for getting your cycle on track,as for trying for 6 months with no success.that is a short time really.can take couples years to concieve.however since your cycle is a bit wacky,i would concentrate on getting that regular first.once this is sorted then concieveing should be easy.since you will know your ovulation.failing that bed from cd12 onwards.until you are confident you have ovulated.
Avatar f tn hey there, are your periods regular? If yes, then most likely your estimate of period due date is correct and 2 days before the expected period is too late to get pregnant. And you do mention that you had protected sex, if a condom was used and it did not break, you should be fine.. Using the pull out method is not entirely safe.. The morning after pill does delay the next period, I have seen it delaying it mostly by 5 days for many people...
Avatar n tn No, HPV will not affect your menstrual cycle, there must be some other cause for it. Is there any possibility of pregnancy? Have you had a LEEP or cone biopsy at all due to dysplasia caused by HPV? It may be time to make an appointment with a doctor.
Avatar m tn And another question does one menstrual cycle changes after an ectopic pregnancy because right now my menstrual cycle as gone haywire it is much heavier than it was and it has gone over the days that it normally does. Thanks for advice and waiting for your answer in regards to these question.
Avatar f tn What you can do is make an appointment to see your doctor to discuss with him about giving you a mini pill for a short time.
Avatar f tn A related discussion, <a href="/posts/Pregnancy-18-34/pink-vaginal-discharge-after-contraceptive-pill/show/1796588">pink vaginal discharge after contraceptive pill</a> was started.
Avatar f tn Well it was at the same office, so it was the same exact scale. A few doctors share the office area there. This month I had been 116, then went down to 114, and now am at 118.(with my at home scale) My weight is like a roller coaster and I'm not doing anything different. I'm not on any medication, though would like to go on the BC pill, but I'm waiting on it. I don't get how I can gain that much weight in such a short period of time.
Avatar n tn There is a small chance you could get pregnant depending on whether you have a long or a short cycle . As it was only last night you can still take the morning after pill as you can take it up to 48 hours after sex. That would put your mind at rest and save any future decisions about abortion a few months down the line. You do realise that there is a chance you can get pregnant even if your partner withdraws before ejaculation??
Avatar f tn Hi In July i was sexually active with my husband and i overdosed on morning after pill. i took morning after pill 4 times in one week and i have not had my menstrual cycle since. i am not on birth control (Qlaira) but i'm still not going on my periods. Am i still fertile? will i ever fall pregnant again?
