breast

But recently I have developed a constant sharp pain in my left breast. It feels it's deep inside, like an ache. The nipple is incredibly tender as well. Any ideas as to what may be the cause?
I have had a sharp stabbing pain in my left nipple for a couple of months. I went to the DR.and she said that she thought it was mastitis. This was about 2 months ago. It comes and goes. It was at its worse last night, waking me up. And lasting off and on through the night. I think I feel a oblong lump at the left base of my breast, but not sure if it is or not. I feel a tiny lump under my left arm more so to the left, which is very tender. I am 45, and a smoker.
oops, forgot to mention that oddly enough I have now begun experiencing sharp pains in the nipple of my other breast, the left one. I'm nervous to bring it up with my doctor because I'm treated like such a worrywart about the other breast lump, and am wondering if I'm right to be vigilant or if I can just let everything be.
For the last few days ive been getting this sharp throbbing pain in the side of my left breast & i have no idea what it may be from. It will wake me up in the middle of the night, it can just come out of nowhere and start throbbing. Do anyone ever have any of these problems ? It is related to maybe my milk starting to form ?
Hi, I'm about to turn 30 in October and have recently had sharp stinging pain in my lower left breast. Pain only happens in the shower. I don't feel any lumps, but the stinging pain feels general yet specific, so it's kind of hard to pinpoint or describe. It's almost beneath the breast tissue, with slight bruising feeling around the armpit and rib cage. Sometimes around the lower nipple. Why would this only be happeing in the shower? Why would I have it at all? First felt it about 3 weeks ago.
I have had a stingy burning like pain under the nipple around the areola for quite some time. This week I developed a very sharp stinging pain that feels deep inside the left breast. I examined and found that there is a bruising type of sign under the nipple and an indentation. The stinging is very localized and very painful. My left breast is much larger than the right, always has been and when I am sitting at a table, the breast pushing against it, I can feel a aching there.

My maternal aunt was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I have had pain in my left lower breast for about 2 months. My doctor felt some cysts and sent me for my annual mammo. The mammo says no skin thickening or nipple retraction. Dense fibroglandular changes seen bilaterally. Small intramammary lymph nodes seen in the superior aspect of the left breast. Stable asymmetric fibroglandular tissue in the superior aspect of the right breast.
For the past 2 weeks, I have had a sharp pain in my left nipple, which comes and goes. My familt doctor thinks it is mild neuropathy. I've been reading about peripheral nerve neuropathy, but I dont have the same symptoms... Any thoughts on what else it could be? Or am I just being paranoid?
Since I'd never noticed it before, and only seen it happen a few times I am a little concerned. I occasionally have sharp breast pain, sometimes just enough to make me cringe and sometimes so bad that I have to hold my breathe because breathing moves my chest and causes worse pain. But I have had breast pain that comes and goes ever since I started my period when I was 12, so it is not new. I am now 17. Should I be worried that something could be wrong?
im 23 and been suffering from really sore nipples, they seem to hurt whenever i knock them or if i were to push my nipple inwards both are equally as sore but my left breast seems to be getting a sharp pain when i breath!! i always seem to have tender breasts ever since i can rememeber. i check them for lumps but havent noticed a change.
Hi Paulio, I too am experiencing changes in my breast and noticed that I'd never had pain before in the lumpy structures that are new to the breast. I'm 48 yrs old, am in surgical menopause since 2005, not due to cancer but due to other chronic conditions that were adding up to trouble. My uterus, ovaries, tubes and cervix were removed. I could not for the life of me handle the sudden menopause. so my gyno put me on the estrogen patch. I've been on this now since 2005 mind you.
All day yesterday and so far this morning I have been having sharp pains go through my left nipple. Is this do to my milk trying to come in or should I call the doctor about it? I go back to him on Monday.
They felt it was not anthing to worry about. About six months ago, I developed pain in my left breast, the pain moved to my left upper quardrant side. Went to two doctors , well one was a clinic and said that it prob a cyst. Now the pain is so intense, that it hurts under my arm and down my arm and my arm feels stiff and am having joint pain.
I don't see an answer but you're not alone. I woke up last night and my left nipple was in agonizing burning pain, but today it's fine. This has happened before, maybe once or twice a year. I would like to know the cause.
Hi I'm 33 years old and I've been having pain between my breasts (actually it's toward my left breast) for a few weeks. It's not sharp pain, it's more like discomfort and I can feel the pain when I press. My OB dr said that area is not considered breast and it could be muscle pain. There's no lump or anything. I've been having irregular period lately so I'm not sure it has anything to do with it.
i have very severe fatigue, brain foginess, i know where i am but it feels like i am not here most of the time. every day it feel like the end. now i have very sharp pain in nipples. mostly my left. bad pain in my back. can someone answer?
so i am not out of shape by any means. Here lately I've been having sharp pains under my left breast area; exactly in the middle between my left nipple and the bottom of my rib cage. Sometimes its randomly throughout the day. It is at worst when i eat large meals and/or when I lay down with food in my stomach. I've been having these pains for nearly a month now.
I have logged on for the first time Noticed a number of comments re problems with left armpit(lump) and pain in left breast. I have had the same problem for about two years. Of recent weeks the breast pain has increased. Last week I was sent for an Ultra Sound, await the results. Over the years I have surgery for the removal of benign lumps and in 1982 had a reduction. With all of these adhesions it was difficult to do a self examination so had regular mamograms. All showed no problems.
all the times before I would start have a sharp pain coming from my nipple and have antibiotics for it.it would clear up and come back about six months after.did'nt have it for 2 years, then came back with revengance.the odour was stronger from my nipple.started paining then it turned to burning awful.had to have emergency operation.also I was 33.so all I can surley say ask your doctor to refer you to have a scan.
I am a bit concerned that I have had an itchy left nipple for the last 3 months now, and on top of that I get a pain in my breast as well, quite sharp and very painful.......
About a month and a half ago, out of the blue, I started having pain in my left breast. I literally woke up with it one morning, and since then it has hardy gone away. Sometimes it is aching, sometimes it feels a little sharp, but I can never pinpoint it to an exact location. Sometimes it goes into my armpit, and other times it feels like it goes towards my shoulder. Still, other times it seems to be at the base of the breast, while other times it's in the nipple area or above.
Within a day or two after i developed a sharp pain in my ribs and a small lump above my left nipple. The nipples hruts when i touch it, almost like it's sore. I thought it would go away but Sometimes the rib pain was unbearable and i was growing concerned about the nipple lump. I went to urgent care in my town, they took some x-rays and i went for an ultrasound. Both showed nothing. The doctor there gave me a prescription for 800mg ibpreoufen.
Been having off/on pain in both breasts but 80% in left breast for about year and a half. Pain started late 2007. I took a mammogram in Feb 2008 and came out clear. Pain subsided for a few months and surfaced again about October 2008. I have taken series of mammo scans which also were judged normal. About this time, I started having premenopausal symptoms, hot flashes, break out in sweat suddenly, headaches, and the breast pain. I took another mammogram Feb2009.
saline implants and the past month or 2 I have had this sudden sharp/shooting pain in my left breast, between the arm pit and the nipple...I have this pain for the past 2 months. I am just worried and afraid to see my doctor..does anyone else have the same problem?
to prevent the sore from getting infected, you can do a saline soak. dissolve some salt in a cup of warm water and dip your nipple in to it, or put some of the solution on to it. the final step is to prevent it from happening again. if it happened from pumping, your best bet is to make sure that you use a little bit of olive oil on the base of your nipple while you pump. it reduces the friction. also, turn down the setting.
