It feels like i have to cough something up but i cant cough with enough force to get it out, and the cough is still dry. Sometimes i have a small cough<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>in</span>g fit, and after one cough<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>in</span>g fit, i had a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>sharp</span> pain on the right side of my chest. It felt like there was icyhot on my lung, then that feeling faded away after about an hour. But, i still get an occasional sharp pain on my right, sometimes left side in what feels like my lungs. I should also point out that i am a smoker of 4 years.
My cough is best decribed as a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>pa<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>in</span></span>ful dry cough. Sometime, I cough up flegm and its really yellowish in color...my ears hurt sometimes but not always...everytime I swallow, I feel like Im swallowing tiny razors down my throat. I have a swollen lymph node on the ride side of my neck but not on the left...I dont beleive any other parts of my body are swollen (armpits/goin) at this time. I believe that my lypmh node grew in size within the past day.
She is always complaining of her <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>chest</span> hurting, and sometimes she says that she gets realy <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>sharp</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>pa<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>in</span></span>s that last from a 1 to 3 minutes. The pain has been there for sometime, I believe for about a month. I'm not sure what to do, she says that the sharp pains are coming even more now. Atleast once a say, and she sometimes gets short of breath.

Does anyone know what it might be. I have a cough at times too. Im pretty sure it is not cardiac related. Its not really bad just been there for a week or so now.

It was on my left side slightly over the middle of the collar bone, and has now moved to my right side in same location over the collar bone. There is a second sharp pain my breast area of my chest. The pain is not sensitive when you touch the outside of the body. It is only on the inside. Can you help?

It does get worse when I cough or breathe in. The sharp pain is pretty frequent and it's been like this for about 3-4 days now. About a month ago I was experiencing shortness of breath so I went to the doctor and she said I had asthma due to allergies (I've always had really bad allergies) and prescribed me an advair inhaler.
