I think he vomitted in his stupor and then aspirated causing aspiration pneumonia,then sepsis. It's just damn sad. Dr. Drew referred to him as a "terrible addict". That made me laugh. about two weeks ago i had protected sex with a girl who told me she has genital herpes. She is taking valtrex as well. After sex i washed my "area" with soap and water very thoroughly as i heard soap and water can kill the virus before it can infect me. The past two days i have woken up (very late; 2-3 PM) with a slight fever and terrible headache. However, I do not have swollen lymphnodes or muscle ache. my fever seems to go away as the day progresses.

The pleasure and pain receptors are very similar to each other some peoples bodies confuse them which sounds like your case. I am home sick with the flu I picked up from son, and I discovered the show Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew. I thought at first what will they come up with next, but as I started the 2nd episode, I was sold. There are I think 8 people in various stages of addiction, and I think I can relate to them all in one way or another. The guy Jeff somebody that was in Grease and Taxi is the most noticably messed up, but I think the focus will shift. This show is such an inspration.

Hi Doctor, I am 21 years of age and recently went to a strip club for my friends 22nd birthday. At the strip club I recieved a massive hickie in which I believe the stripper said she drew a little blood. Is it at all possible that I may be able to contract something such as HIV/AIDS or anything else from this sort of contact?

I am sure that was part of Dr Drews treatment! He probably wanted to see how bad things like that would set them back. Also to maybe see if they are ready to be back in the real world where temptation is just so strong. When they come out those guys and girls will need to have a strong support system. I wonder if they know about Med Help ?????

Had My 1st DR appt 2day. PG CONFIRMED! Drew blood to check my progesterone and hcg levels I'll have the results on Thur. Making an appt for accupunture too.

The Staff should of told me NO that this was the Dr orders or go and talk to the Dr..PLUS this Dr did not even consider my Benzo use. That one was just cut out and I should of been tapered with something lesser..(Benzo) The adderral was NOT even considered and it was Bad to w/d from. Now most of this was the communication from the Dr.

I happened to be watching celebrity rehab and Dr. Drew mentioned that the addicts have to learn how to handle their own feelings instead of dulling them with meds. and it's very true. But once you learn how to handle things in a safe way it gets easier.

I watch celebrity rehab with Dr. Drew and I envy what those people have, I would trade my right arm in to get a free detox. All teh research I have done is like a minimum of 10 grand. If you know of a place where I can get a bed and have people helping and looking over me I would love you for the rest of my life. Phill for help or Dr. Drew. Finding a good rehab is hard, most of them are non-profit and they are doing the best with what they have and the best for them is a quick fix with no follow up. Suboxone is a good drug and a good place to start, but he has to be will to see the danger he is putting himself in. He's body will not allow that many meds much longer.

About a year ago, I think my 9 year old autistic daughter seen me having sex with my boyfriend. At the time i wasn't sure if she seen me doing this or not and now I know she had. Please please take the advice of everyone on here, be very careful talk with a Dr. I was in rehab for 3 mths and my taper was 6 wks under the care of a addiction Dr. and a 6 wk taper is pretty fast considering being on them for ten yrs..

Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.

t have any symptoms or problems but by 8pm tht completely changed. The dr only drew blood and talked on monday. Today (tuesday) i had a physical exam and more blood drawn. Im extremely worried because this is my first pregnancy and i really really want a baby!

then the next appt which was only a few days later i sat down with the dr and he explained the whole process from start to finish and we discussed family history to check for risk factors and they did more blood work to check for them.. your dr may Combine these 2 appts into one but they will do a physical exam too so just ask them about the yeast infection. good luck and congrats!

I strongly think in this case he needs to see a Dr. and soon. You can start out with a general internal medicine Dr. who can lead him in the right direction. I agree his drinking must stop, but with all of his health issues, I think it's a bit more complicated than just rehab. But has he seen a Dr. yet? I think you need to start there. And again, I think it's so great that you want to help him. The best of luck to you.

I watch it depending on what the addiction is....I know it sounds crazy but it just depends. The one I watched was on VH1 the Dr. Drew Rehab one.... it was interesting to see the people who "have it all" how addicted they are... the show did leave some stuff out....but showed some good recovery stuff.
