Did anyone see the rehab show last night. I can't imagine a rehab place letting women jump in a pool where it was so bad they couldn't show it on TV. I thought sex was not allowed in rehab and I considered that letting that happen was a big no no on the part of the rehab facility. I also see that Daniel Baldwin wants to leave. I use to like the guy now I think he is full of sh@@. I also think he is using. Don't they do blood tests to see if people are using??

Hey y'all, I am actually on the plane now off to rehab!!!! I am so scared of detox and leaving my family, but i know deep down inside, this is the right thing to do. I can only pray that i will get through this and come out stronger than ever and continue to seek therapy. This really has been a long dark road for me and i am ready to take charge of my life, i am going into rehab with an open mind and i am going to fight this demon with everything i got in me, and i will WIN!!!!

well i found a rehab to go to I'm going on aug 25th but the weird thing is she said its tricky with insurances and detox and mine might not pay and she can't see if they will until I'm there and if they dont cover it it cost 9000$ so i will have to leave weird i think but whatever i just hope they will pay without any trouble cuz i need this real bad i am very excited to be going i can't wait to see what life is like being free and sober

Detox gets you off the drugs safely, and a little of what rehab does. Rehab deals with learning about your addiction and how to live life without drugs. Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. I have been addicted to pain killers for 6+ years. I've decided that enough is enough & I can't continue to live like this anymore. I am 3 days clean & currently going through withdrawls. I can not afford rehab, or have anyone to care for my children if I could afford to go. I don't know if wanting to quit & change my life is enough for me to kick this. My husband knows about my addiction, I went to him for help. He doesn't understand why I can't just stop.

She finally admitted that she was hooked and needed help. We got her into a rehab center to hopefully get off them, so we can save our marriage. I loved my rehab! I always thought that going to rehab would be THE END, something to be avoided at ALL COSTS. I was so wrong, it turned out to be exactly what I needed and it was the beginning of life, not the end. I see your from MD. There are lots of great rehabs close to you. Coming to rehab was the best thing that could have happened to me. I truly am thankful for crossing paths with my new pump nurse and grateful for her swiftness in getting me in here. I have physical, occupational and speech therapy every day. This makes for a long day but very much worth it. I see improvement every single day. This hospital has the most caring, compassionate and outgoing staff I have ever seen in my life. You cannot help being optimistic here.

I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.

what will rehab do for me? im in the process of calling the ins co to see where i can go. will they give me something to stop this crazy jittery feeling? will i be not so anxious to the point of not coping? i am comin g out of my skin. i cant take it. will rehab help? or will i be in a strange room with strange people going thru the same exact thing? i cant do this alone i just cant... i need help im just not sure what i need.... i am willing and able to go for inpatient treatment.

Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.

Maybe some folks here could answer me something I dont know , I heard on the News that Tiger Woods is making a Golf comeback ,after completing ' Sex Rehab' would someone explain what Rehab actually means what do they do to you that in a very short time are you cured' especially of a sex addiction.Indeed I am puzzled by the whole process of Rehab for anything , one hears of it a lot that one of the Stars is going into 'Rehab' for drink or drug addiction, then they come..

it is emotionaly physically and financialy draining me. our sex life is a joke he will not have sex with me when he binges which is becoming atleast once a week. we have 4 kids, 2 each from previous relationships and i find that every other weekend when we have them im taking care of them. he doesnt care about anything or anyone else while hes using. he has told me that he doesnt even like the high from crack its just the process of getting the drug.

He relapsed and was using when we began dating, but there was no sexual contact. He went to rehab a year after his previous rehab stay, and again, tested negative. He admitted that he relapsed again after this second stay but after two weeks stopped for good (and I could tell the difference, he truly did stop). However, he never shared needles (from what he told me, and he confided in me a lot during his struggles) and I could tell he was being honest.

Some of these posts are great and glad we can make light of this situation instead of being serious all the time. We need to smile and laugh our way thru this. I am of the opinion that the alcoholism is primarily a symptom of anxiety. So, I readily buy into that part of rehab that addresses the psychiatric and behavioral facets of addiction, but the idea of sitting around in a group sharing is anathema to me. I’d rather have pins shoved in my toes. I guess that’s it. I realize I have a problem. I realize I need help. I also am of the firm conviction that AA or conventional rehab would not be useful. What other options are there?

I am going crazy i just cant stand to be using anymore but am at a loss as to how i am ever going to do this on my own. I really think i need rehab,detox something of that sort. i live i a small town and dont think we have anything of that sort in our area.

This is purely curiosity but do any of you have any rehab stories? any great doctors, bad doctors, and why? who helped you the most and are there any changes you would like to see in the style of rehabs or at least the ones you have been to?

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

Has anyone on here been to or known anyone that has been to Haven House Rehab Center in Oxford, MS??? I will be going in a couple of days and just curious if anyone has an opinion on it. Also, to all the women.... I haven't had a period since jan 19. The only other times I have skipped, I was pregnant but I have taken 2 tests and they were both negative. I am home sick with the flu I picked up from son, and I discovered the show Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew. I thought at first what will they come up with next, but as I started the 2nd episode, I was sold. There are I think 8 people in various stages of addiction, and I think I can relate to them all in one way or another. The guy Jeff somebody that was in Grease and Taxi is the most noticably messed up, but I think the focus will shift. This show is such an inspration.
