Did anyone see the rehab show last night. I can't imagine a rehab place letting women jump in a pool where it was so bad they couldn't show it on TV. I thought sex was not allowed in rehab and I considered that letting that happen was a big no no on the part of the rehab facility. I also see that Daniel Baldwin wants to leave. I use to like the guy now I think he is full of sh@@. I also think he is using. Don't they do blood tests to see if people are using??

Other than an episode of A-Fib 12 days post op that resolved on iv meds just before being shocked, my recovery has been good. I start cardiac rehab next week. I have been very active, walking 1/4 - 1/2 mile daily, cooking, light gardening, light play with my dogs, etc. I am ready, at least in my mind, to do more - including sex (even mutual masturbation would be welcome). I don’t have another dr appointment for 3 weeks. Do I wait another 3weeks to ask the dr about sex?

I am being treated for vertigo (rocking back and fourth feeling sensation) and have just started Vestibular Rehab. How long will this take before I know it is doing the trick? I have had vertigo for 2 years now, on and off the first year and the second year has been everyday. Any ideas? I have had 2 brain MRI's they are normal, I have been seeing and ENT for 2 years and the tests done there have also been close to normal.

When I watched the first show, they were filming him at his house, and went through all of the stuff he takes on a daily basis. It was Oxy, Norco, Xanax, alcohol, cocaine, muscle relaxers, and he was snorting something that he said helps him when he is constipated. But there were also more drugs he took, I can't remember how many, but talk about a seriously harsh physical rehab. This guy has been doing drugs for how long? Since he got hurt doing Grease I think?

Well per episode you are talking 1 in many thousands. No one really has an estimate of this due to lack of research into this topic.

There is greater risk for receiving (1 in 100) than being on top (penetrating) in rectal sex (1 in 200) bu tthere is still some risk. As I said, your risk is low.

Has anyone watched this show? I have watched every episode so far and it has been so great for me. I see these celebrities that are going through the same things that I am going through and they are willing to go through it on TV. The advice that Dr. Drew gives to his patients is also very good. I love listening to him talk and trying to work things out for his patients. If you haven't watched this show, you really should....it is on MTV on Thursday nights I believe.

fyi - cleaning up after sex doesn't reduce your risk of a std. alcohol is too harsh for your sensitive genital skin too and actually does more harm than good to your skin. follow up as needed with your providers should you develop any symptoms.

About 1 year ago I had a priapism episode after a bit of an overdose of Cialis (maybe 40 mg) and alot of alcohol. At the time the Cialis was mostly for reassurance and not that necessary. My guess is that I had an 8 to 10 hour erection that went away on its own without medical intervention. Definitely a strange feeling after that incident for quite awhile... a sensation of slight penis discomfort that I never had before.

I do not think you need to rush to have an HIV test in respect of this episode because it appears to be a very low risk episode.

'VT Storm' which is defined as having 4 episodes of 4 or more beats in any given 24 hour period. 4. Any NSVT after a Recent MI 5. NSVT that gets worse or manifests at peak exercise (not during cooldown/recovery) Any one of these could be an indicator that one's at higher risk for developing sustained and potentially lethal VT.

To prepare for the surgery especially after the bed rest with this episode, I wanted to rehab first. Now I cannot imagine rehabbing and kicking up these painful PVCs even more. Will look into reablation. The first time around gave me two years, not PVC free, but PVC tolerable. I know as I age I will get more of these, and I do not know what to do about them. Thanks for the quick answer! He didn't have a lip sore. I'd like to make clear he didn't perform oral sex on me during this episode. Any potential contact of oral herpes would have come from his saliva perhaps. As I'm sure is quite common, during the heat of the moment all sorts of fluids can be exchanged. However he never deliberately used his saliva for lubrication during this episode. I definitely know I used my own saliva for this purpose.

It is a very low risk to contract HIV from a one time unprotected vaginal sex episode. 1 percent risk. So, most likely you did not contract HIV from this (plus she wasn't a sex worker or high risk person). So, get tested. I wouldn't have gone on PEP for that exposure as your risk is really so low. Test with a 4th generation Duo test at 28 days for a conclusive answer. Oral sex was not a risk at all so no worries there.

Yea I take ativan .5mg as directed which is 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon...and then before I go 2 sleep I take 2 antidepressants which makes 100mg....yea but sometimes when I go out by my self or I hear some weird noise it just gets stuck in my head and I can't get rid of it and it makes my head hurt.....but what should I do when I get anxious which is like everyday...

As I already said, asymptomatic shedding is relatively uncommon with HSV-1. Most apparently asymptomatic transmissions probably involve unrecognized (mild) symptoms rather than real asymptoamtic shedding. It's closer to around half of first episode genital herpes due to HSV-1. I haven't seen data at the 70% level. How likely to transmit for any particular oral sex episode? Probably less than 1 chance per 10,000 sexual events.

HIV is not spread through giving or receiving oral sex. The quoted figure for HIV risk, if one has oral sex with an infected partner is less than 1 in 10,000 and, in my estimation that is too high. Some experts state there is no risk at all from oral sex. Neither of us on this site have ever seen or reading the medical literature of a convincing instance in which HIV was passed by oral sex.

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

While washing the condom, her saliva might have come in contact with my hands. Am i safe with the episode of oral sex and also the episode of washing the condom? Am i safe with other STD's too like herpes,etc..? I was also wearing clothes (shirt and Pant) during this occasion.
