Lately I've been having this severe shoulder pain. I'm not quite sure how and why it's been happening. I do not participate in active activities and I'm pretty healthy.I've checked online sources to see what may be the cause for this severe should pain I've been having for the past 5 days. One of the reasons could be arthritis. Though that manly happens among older adults and I'm only 16. Some of the symptoms I've been having are listed below: * The pain started slowly.
Symptoms (in general from herniated discs in the cervical region and lumbar region) suggesting the need for urgent surgery includes muscle weakness, loss of bowel or bladder control, loss of sensation, particularly in the pelvis and severe and progressive pain. This will need to be decided upon by your PCP and/or neurologist. Lastly, where is your pain? Is it associated with the bulging disc or is it caused by the actual car wreck?
The pain in my neck is nausating, it is mostly on the left side going all the way down my left arm and shoulder. I have severe headaches, blacking out (just recently started) and severe shaking of the hands which also just recently started.
The pain is intensified and localized in my right shoulder, right arm, and right side back of neck, when I am lying down. I seem to have the least amount of pain when I am walking around. There is no pain associated with any movements of my arm. Also, I have noticed about a 50% decline in muscle mass in my right arm of the last two weeks and when crawling with my son on all fours I have experienced a complete arm or muscle collapse which is unexpected and scary.
You may certainly have wrist tendonitis, but why the neck and shoulder pain. The pain and numbness you are having could be from your neck and an EMG would assist with that answer. It is a nerve conduction study. You also need an xray and MRI of your neck to rule out that as a cause for your numbness. I would see a neurologist.

I had 5 month of PT and was returned back to work. After a couple of week i began having a lot of pain and severe weakness in my L arm. Another MRI Arthrogram was done which reveal a type 3 SLAP lesion and a Paralabral Cyst. A second surgery was done in september of 2006. The Surgeon said that the bio-absorbable anchors had desolved to fast. Again another 5 month of PT. While going thru PT i was suffering from extreme pain with alot of crepitus.
sensation in the lower tricep just above the elbow as well as the shoulder pain. Looking straight up also brings severe pain to the upper elbow area. Another symptom is a nearly constant twitching or bunching of the lower tricep just above the elbow, almost as if it's trying to cramp up. I cannot recall any activity that might have caused this. Any advise or suggestions would be very much appreciated. I cannot afford a doctors visit and have no health insurance, so this is my last hope.
Two yrs ago I started experiencing right side neck/shoulder/arm pain that radiates to my upper chest, into my armpit and under my scapula in the upper back.It is sporadic pain and varies in intensity. Most of the time when it flares up,which can be evey day for a month or only once a month,it is unbearable. It is a severe pinching, sqeezing, burning pain with a lot of pressure. It radiates down my arm into my hand. The worst part of it is the pain under my scapula and upper chest.

TRACTION AND ELECTRICAL STIMULATION ARE WORKING (THE PAIN COMES AND GOES INSTEAD OF BEING CONSTANT),,,,THAT IS A HUGE BLESSING AND I'VE STARTED SOME MILD STRETCHING EXERCISES! FINALLY SLEEPING IN THE BED...HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT SINCE OCTOBER! I'M WITH YOU ARMY AVIATOR...I'LL ENDURE THE PAIN IF IT WILL EVENTUALLY GO AWAY WITH CONSERVATIVE MEASURES. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE SURGERY!! I LOVE MY JOB AND WANT TO BE ABLE TO ENJOY IT AGAIN!

Because i have had 5 surgeries on my arms the pain is still there ,i now have neck and shoulder pain along with my hands falling asleep.i did not have the neck, shoulder and hand issues before all the arm surgeries. now i am told i have this herniation and i'm wondering if i really needed all those surgeries, was it a disc herniation all along and i might have been misdiagnosed.
I'm still unsure as to whether or not I have chiari malformation, but have been having pretty bad neck stiffness with the pain now moving down my spine to between/just below my shoulders (the pain between my shoulders is a sharp pain whereas my neck pain is dull). Has anyone with chiari experienced symptoms like this? I'm currently waiting on my doctor to schedule me a cine MRI scan. I've been told that this is the only true way to determine if the CSF Flow is normal or constricted.
I have had social/ general anxiety my whole life but for the last 6 months or so I have had headaches and severe migraines along with extreme neck and shoulder pain. My neck is so stiff and my shoulders ache almost constantly. A lot of days I lay on the couch and watch TV all day because I can't function. The pain makes me not want to do anything. I was wondering if these symptoms are being caused by my anxiety?
This time after a few days went by, I was getting up from doing something, and something happened in my neck and shoulder area. I had the most excusiating pain in my neck, shoulder and arm. I began getting these sharp stabbing pains down my right arm and also the right side of my chest and shoulder area. The pain was like no pain i've ever felt. It laid me up for about 4 days, just laying on the couch. I never went to the doctor due to insurace reasons.

My husband is 32 and first started getting neck pain (back of neck) on Sunday, and by Monday during the day it became so bad that his range of motion became very limited. There is no known cause as to why this began. He developed pain while swallowing (on Monday). The front of his neck feels bruised. He also said it feels as if he was screaming all night at a rock concert. The most painful motion is when he tries to tilt his head back.

Just Yesterday, the 31st, I began experiencing a little neck and shoulder pain on the right. My headaches pain seemed to be localized behind my right eye and right ear, very sharp and half nauseating. My face hurt like when you have a bad sinus infection, but I had no runny nose or stuffiness. I made an appointment with my chiropractor, and she made several adjustments. Yet, just today, it all seemed to be getting worse.
Straightening of the cervical lordosis with neck and radicular pain radiating down the arm can be symptoms of an extruded disk fragment. This could eventually lead to cervical spondylosis with worsening of your symptoms.
3 weeks ago I started having severe pain and stiffness in my neck and upper back , 9 days ago it changed and I now still have a sore neck but the biggest problem is the severe pain in my shoulder and shoulder blade area, under arm and arm all the way to my wrist(all right side). I also have major twitching all day long, cramping, tingling, heavy pain feeling and a dull constant ache with some sharp pains as well. This pain is constant however at night is always worse.
