I did a search online for it and there are many blogs regarding its side effect of severe acne. I really do not want to remove this device because it is so convenience, other than the acne. I read some of the tips on balancing the hormones, such as taking fish oil, drinking soy milk and to stay away from sweet, fat and oily food. I have changed my diet, run 5 miles everyday, drink 1 gallon of water everyday, take my multivitamin including fish oil and staying away from fatty food.
I am now 9 weeks and my acne is awful. Cyst like, hard, painful ones that take weeks to go away! Now I can't use my retinA cream. Anyone else have tips to relieve this?
Does anyone have any tips for pregnancy acne. I've talked to my "Dr" who is really a resident training to be a Dr and a different one at every appt at that. They have no idea what they're doing but that's what my insurance covers. I have break outs on my face, neck,entire back, stomach,legs,butt just about everywhere. I've tried different soaps and everything. It's not an allergic reaction just pregnancy acne. Can anyone please offer any tips.
Your hormones are going crazy right now so your body is doing a lot of things right now. You will probably break out a lot. I know I had severe acne throughout my pregnancy, it's annoying :( But it's all part of the process. I would suggest that if you have an iPod, iPhone, or smart phone where you can access apps to download the "What to Expect" app. Tells you how baby is developing, compares sizes to foods each week and gives you lots of information and tips.
Acne during pregnancy is normal although I don't have any tips on what to do. I don't think there is much since its cause by hormones.

You could be mistaking for an acne disaster. Acne is when you get pimples on your body from applying oils that exist on your hands, arms, or anything you touch your face with. Before you go to bed every night, try wiping your face gently with a hot wet towel, no matter how much it burns. This will one help you get over the pain of wiping it with something hot, and two, can reduce it.
Anyone have any tips on how to calm breakouts. My face and back look terrible. Obviously many products are not safe and I already know to ask my doctor before I use any chemicals or natural remedies. Just wondering if anything has been approved for you and what you have tried that works. I wash my face twice a day and follow with moisturizer but my face is getting worse. I'm 12 weeks btw.
m a 24 year old female who recently started experiencing severe anxiety, to my knowledge. About 11 months ago I went on birth control to help cope with my severe menstrual cycle and acne flare ups. While it did cure my acne, I started having panic attacks. Almost every day. I eventually made a trip to the ER where they ran several tests and took CT scans. Everything came back normal and I was told it's anxiety. I quickly linked the anxiety to my birth control and went off of it in April.
I had a ischemic stroke 2 years ago at the age of 22 caused by birth control. Almost immediately after the fact, my skin erupted in severe acne covering almost every inch of my face. I went on accutane to try and remedy the issue but even that only cause temporary relief. I have at this point, been on almost every acne medication possible but nothing has helped. I now deal with bad cheek acne that I never had at all before the stroke.
hi, i have been havinng acne problem since i was 18.About four years ago,some painful acne developed on my chest and it was so painful that i could not touch.i did not treat it and now it has grown into large cysts.i have sought several medical treatment but i have never gotten a solution. ve been getting acne like bad acne all over my face in the first month of pregnancy and then it cleared up then I got more acne on my back and I never in my life gotten acne on my back and I'm 27 weeks today and I got acne again on my face. I am struggling with a severe acne breakout recently. I can not figure out what it is from. It first started at both sides of my jawline, little white bumps under my skin that surfaced as cystic like whitheads. Now I have them ALL over my face. I have been going to a dermatologist for a long time and he told me it was acne and milia. He uses a needle to "zap and burn" them. Which leaves me with dark small spots all over my face like measles or something. They take 7 days to heal.

I have severe cysitc acne that covers my upper back. I went to a dermatologist for this condition beginning at age 12.
During the course of treatment I was perscribed Minocycline, Doxycycline, tetracycline, and sulfa based medications, all resulting in allergic reactions. I was finally placed on Accutane with positive results while taking the drug, however six months after completing treatment, the acne returned again.
