Serzone side effects medication

Common Questions and Answers about Serzone side effects medication

serzone

1115705 tn?1258815104 I know about it and my psychiatrist and neurologist do and I report any physical side effects or mental changes to them and they know what to do. I've taken Klonopin for 10 years without a problem. I know some people build up a tolerance to it and have to be taken off that. Generally a person wouldn't be taken off a medication that is working without a problem but that's a provider's decision.
Avatar f tn After stopping serzone for anxiety, my husband had a reaction of severe insomnia after trying Lexapro for 3 days. His doctor suggested bipolar and put him on Zyprexa but is weaning him down gradually. He's on 7.5 mg currently. What side effects can we expect if he doesn't really have bipolar (which is our opinion) from this medication? We know the most common ones, but what if he is not truly bipolar? I can't wait for him to get off of it, but he is sleeping soundly again.
Avatar n tn Hi. I'm on tamoxifen so I can't take any meds which inhibit cyp2D6 enzymes. I've been on almost ALL SSRI ( Effexor, lexapro, celexa, nortriptyline, fetzima, & viibryd) & my depression worsens with them (suicidal thoughts, etc). The only one that has helped is remeron but every time I've had to return to remeron I gain weight. I'm usually 110-112 and eat very well & workout almost everyday.
1432927 tn?1283546704 I always thought Paxil / Zoloft were tough to get on for anxious types. They tend to increase anxiety when first started. Don't be afraid to ramp up slowly. Talk to your doc about it too. There are many choices for anxiety and it takes trial and error to get the right combo. I suggest Nefazodone (Serzone) in a light dose at first, ramp to 150mg BID, Serzone doesn't have any any of the side effects of Paxil.
Avatar n tn Since your panic attacks are happening less, are the headaches numerous and a reason that you cannot take the medication anymore? Or are some of the side effects okay with you now that your anxiety is much better? What does your prescribing doctor say about this? Headaches can also be caused by an endless number of factors in my opinon. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you still under a lot of stress? The point is, that the headaches may not even be related to the medication itself.
Avatar m tn Suggestion: If the acid refulx doesn't ease up, maybe consider having a baseline endoscopy done. Esophageal cancer is in my family and after a few years of having acid reflux issues a baseline was done. Turns out it is BARDS and slight damage has been done. You want to watch how this progresses and follow up if it doesn't do away with the med changes.
681148 tn?1437661591 s too bad that the Sibelium had such terrible side-effects for me since it has been the ONLY medication that completely stopped my migraines, but not every single person will have these side-effects so I think that under very careful consideration and doctor's approval, it is worth giving this calcium channel blocker a try if you and your doctor think it might help.
1495558 tn?1288805527 this does not sound like a normal reaction, and why, for heavens sake, if she is having these side effects, should she stay on it.
1286779 tn?1400012806 She went to a doctor yesterday about her hair and the doctor told her that it was because of this medication (Lydrica) But I have seen all side effects and none talk about hair lost. And my mother does not want to leave this medication because its the only one that works for her burning feet. Has anybody else expirence hair loss with Lydrica? She also takes Cymbalta 60mg,lyrica 75mg, Nexuim 40mg, and Tramabol 50mg. What do you all suggest she get tested for ?
Avatar f tn Hi Jennifer, How are you? Medication side effects may or may not occur to patients. You were given pain medication, anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and antipsychotic/tranqulizer. You may experience gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting and sedative effects. However, it is important that any sign of allergic reaction such as difficulty of breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. twitching or tremor will warrant immediate attention. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any side effects from Depakote ER? My 24 year old son was just diagnosed with Seizures, after experiencing several episodes of lost of consciousness. Can anyone out there tell me if they have had constant nausea, fatigue and some heartburn from the medication?
Avatar f tn Did you taper off the vibryd or quit abruptly? You can't just switch from one medication to another even in the same class and avoid withdrawal -- these meds are not easy to stop taking and it must be done carefully. Unless you completely stop taking a medication before starting another it's impossible to tell if your symptoms are a sign you're suffering withdrawal and quit too quickly or are side effects of the new medication.
Avatar n tn , was previously approved to treat seizures, as well as pain from damaged nerves that can happen in people with diabetes (diabetic peripheral neuropathy) and in those who develop pain following the rash of shingles. Side effects of Lyrica including sleepiness, dizziness, blurry vision, weight gain, trouble concentrating, swelling of the hands and feet, and dry mouth. Lastly, Paxil can also be associated with weight gain. Again as stated before Wellbutrin has a lower incidence of weight gain .
Avatar m tn Of all the anti-depressants it appears to have the lowest incidence of sexual side effects. In fact, in most studies it had no more of these effects than a sugar pill (placebo.) Unfortunately, it can be associated with an increase in anxiety which, for many patients with mood disorders, is a difficulty they already have and do not want to get worse. Other side effects include sleep difficulties and increase in blood pressure. ● Mirtazapine (Remeron) – Another good anti-depressant.
Avatar m tn I doubt this combination would be approved if it was dangerous. But all drugs may have side effects, and if you get bothersome side effects, you should report them to your doctor. Good luck.
