Is there a class action suit pending or being organized against manufactuers of ReStor IOL multifocal lenses?

LOS ANGELES – In a recent Associated Press article, about 30,000 California state prison inmates filed a class action lawsuit claiming insufficient health care for those with hepatitis C. The lead plaintiff, Kevin Jackson, was diagnosed with advanced liver disease due to hepatitis C infection in 2007 and claims he has repeatedly been denied treatment since. The director of health services for California state prisons, Robin Dezember is named as the defendant.

I want to know how to join the class action against Victoria Secrets. I have experinced this and my doctors did not know what was causing it. It stopped when I changed bras.

How do I joined the class action suit against Victoria Secret for these rashes from the "Sexy" bras which I loved and brought 2 at once the week they came out with them? I knew it was the bras that I had recently purchased as I alternated between other types of VS bras that didn't do it. I always thought it was the dye in the bras and that's what I told my doctor who prescribed anti fungus medication. Formaldyhyde would be the last thing I would think.

What are the odds of those of us that are suffering from from tooth decay and paying outrageously for doctors appointments, prescriptions, and now dentists and dental bills, what do we need or have to do to begin a class action lawsuit? Four members of my family have been on subutex for about 6 years some for general pain and some for addiction and we all have the same issues with decaying teeth and such. Our doctor has no means of tapering us off but we all have started ourselves.

I had NO side effects back then. My doc is thinking we will try serzone. Does serzone work similar to remeron? If remeron works will serzone likely work when all these others just make me worse? I'm so frustrated.

I would like to see a picture of the rash so that I can see if it is the same as mine. Red with heat, rising on the skin, and itches especially when, I'm working and get sweaty.

There are many choices for anxiety and it takes trial and error to get the right combo. I suggest Nefazodone (Serzone) in a light dose at first, ramp to 150mg BID, Serzone doesn't have any any of the side effects of Paxil. There are known liver side effects for Serzone though and must be carefully considered with current liver function + follow liver functions while on it.

But my understanding from reliable sources is that it is in the same class as Serzone which was pulled off the market due to liver toxicity. Just because Trazadone is still out there I don't believe it is completely safe for everyone. If Serzone is in the same class and pulled off the market, wouldn't you be cautious with the others in the group and drug companies have a tendency at times to withold data.

Wow! I can't believe I stumbled on this information. I have been going crazy for the past 6 months trying to figure out why my breasts have had a rash, they are constantly itchy and blotchy. I just figureed it was dry skin, new detergent, cream...trying everything, but nothing worked. How horrifying to find out there may be formaldehyde in the bras. She wants me off any sort of benzo except for possibly .5 mg to use as PRN and to switch the Serzone to Celexa. The Serzone has black box warnings about liver issues and is banned in many countires. After stopping serzone for anxiety, my husband had a reaction of severe insomnia after trying Lexapro for 3 days. His doctor suggested bipolar and put him on Zyprexa but is weaning him down gradually. He's on 7.5 mg currently. What side effects can we expect if he doesn't really have bipolar (which is our opinion) from this medication? We know the most common ones, but what if he is not truly bipolar? Acorn hasn't been active on the forum since this thread was posted. You might do a google search for a class action suit stemming from the use of Forteo injections.

That BonSoy issue was over a year ago. They have finally got it straight and the class action is from that time. Bon Soy no longer have high levels of iodine, thank goodness! The Dept of Health immediately issued an investigation into all soy products and found that Bon Soy was the only one with such high iodine. I have been following this since day one.

It appears to be a web site to help attorneys soliciting cases to help with their class action suits against device companies. Attorneys will make money. Patients won't benifit much in my opinion. Those individuals with a legitimate claim will be served by the usual medical legal process and not by an attempt to collect money from companies with class action suits. Prozac, Zoloft, Effexor, amitryptiline, Paxil, trazadone, Serzone...all but MAOIs. They either had no effect or the averse effects outweighed the positive (zoloft kept me afloat by making me numb to all feelings altogether). Finally, in 2003, I was in a study for treatment resistant depression and Lexapro quite literally saved my life. I was later switched to Celexa for financial reasons. I had no problems transitioning and have taken it for the past six years.
