Avatar f tn Sertraline is the generic name for Zoloft, which is an antidepressant. It doesn't contain HCG, and it has no effect on a pregnancy test.
Avatar m tn I too notice a difference in how I feel taking Zoloft vs. Sertraline. I like Sertraline better though because I don't feel as numbed out and my sex drive is not affected.
1709162 tn?1314084832 I started taking sertraline a week ago. After 5 days of taking it I ended up in hospital with rapid heartbeat adrenaline rushes and chest pain. They kept me in and treated me as a heart attack because of abnormal ecg. I was kept.in overnight and concluded that I was suffering from oesophagul spasms. They have set me up to have a myoview scan as I have had an echo a year ago when I had the same problems which was good. They told my doc to give me nifedipine for the spasms which made me.worse.
Avatar m tn I'm a 30yr old male. I was on Sertraline approx 10 years ago for depression and it seemed to work until a crash. For one reason or another over the years, my treatment has changed several times. It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent.
Avatar m tn It's not whether the Lexapro is out of your system or not -- it only lasts a number of hours, so it's long gone. It's how easily your brain can adapt to working without the artificial action of the drug and go back to working normally. You don't have withdrawal from the Zoloft, you're still on it, that only comes when you decide to stop.
9475243 tn?1405300275 Sertraline has a higher dose for working than Paxil because the drug are different. Sertraline usually starts its therapeutic dose at 100mg. Some do well at 50. Some are highly sensitive to things and absorb them really well while others don't. It usually takes about 4-6 weeks to notice positive effects, although some do notice them earlier. Side effects, though, start right away.
Avatar m tn Today I took 1 Vicodin (Labeled M367, 10/325 norco) I took my last Zoloft 14 days ago. I was on 50 mg Zoloft. I took my first Zoloft pill on December 19, 2014 and I took my last Zoloft pill on January 19, 2015. I'm currently going through Zoloft withdrawals and have many of the typical Zoloft withdrawal symptoms. I was just wondering if taking a Vicodin will interfere with the recovery of my Zoloft withdrawal?
Avatar f tn I have been on 25:mg zoloft for a month now. Has anyone experienced concentration/memory issues while being on this Med?

Avatar m tn Hello Ireland from UK. I took 150mg Sertraline once daily. I am on a different drug, but still take 150mg in one go. No problem with that. Your new doctor is right.
13367247 tn?1429640528 Do you mean Sertraline? (brand name: Zoloft). Because a 2 year study showed that people taking it can end up with a false positive for benzodiazepines. See here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
18070169 tn?1463175914 But as I read through countless posts regarding Zoloft, I realized it is all part of the drug settling in. My dr gave me clonizepam for times when I was having an anxiety attack, but never really used it because most of my major anxiety was during the day and that stuff makes me sleepy and I can't work. Here are the side effects I had - for the first two weeks, anxious every day, hot flashes, cold chills, fell asleep quickly, but always woke up at 4 a.m.
Avatar f tn I took Paroxetine 20mg for 2 weeks plus Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg, then went to Paroxetine 10mg and Sertraline/Zoloft 50mg and 2 days ago I've stopped Paroxetine altogether and am now just on Zoloft 50mg...I'm off work today as I'm so depressed. All I want to do is cry and lay in bed. How long does it take for Zoloft to kick in? I have been on it for 4 weeks now. ..shouldn't I be feeling better by now?
Avatar f tn Different meds affect different people different ways. I have been on Sertraline (Zoloft) in the past and I am actually on it now. I actually prefer it to any other SSRI, but I can share with you my personal experiences with it. First of all, it is very common to prescribe a benzo like Xanax when starting an SSRI. It is true that it can have a high affinity for addiction if abused. But in my experience, taking it as prescribed for a month is what it is designed for.
Avatar m tn First, have you ever sought out therapy before going to medication? There are many relaxation techniques that might help, and the only cure is to learn to think differently, so have you tried any of that first? Second, Abilify is a drug approved for severe depression that hasn't responded to any other drug.
Avatar f tn In December, I was given a a very low dose script for Sertraline/Zolft. I take 25mg in the am and 25mg in the pm. I love this drug, I don't remember the last time I felt so light and bubbly and happy! But I've been on it for 4 months now and still feel almost giddy, especially in my relationship with my husband.
Avatar n tn Yes, I am on Sertraline for anxiety and depression. Zoloft works well for my depression and Xanax helped me for my Panic attacks. Now, I am on lower dose of Zoloft and my symptoms are much better.
Avatar f tn Sertraline(Zoloft) is a antidepressant and are work with the symptoms like depression, panic attacks, anxiety, etc. You can ask for Ambien pills, it good for treating insomnia. Also I recommend you exercise and healthy eating to get quality sleep at night. It works...
1123420 tn?1350561158 I have battled depression and anxiety for years. I've been in xanax and Zoloft. But I stopped when I got pregnant. I'm 22 weeks now and I cant do it anymore. I know this is far worse for my daughter then the pills could be. My doctor gave me my Zoloft back and told me it was safe. Is it? Anyone know first hand? Please help me, I can't go on like this. There right here in front of me but I'm worried for my daughter.
Avatar n tn I seem to have twitching that is at least in part related to Zoloft (Sertraline). Upon visiting urgent care when the twitching became really disruptive due to its frequency, the doctor first eliminated any neurological disorders by a panel of six or seven blood tests. You may wish to ask your doctor about these tests, to eliminate your concerns about ALS and other neurological disorders. I was taking 200 mg per day of sertraline -- the maximum dose. I cut that back to 100 mg per day.
Avatar f tn m sorry to hear you are feeling this way. Are you still working with your doctor? Prozac may not have been the right drug for you post zoloft peter out but there are so many to try. I'm wondering if being medication free isn't the best option for you currently. I do think the brain has to 'reset' after having that additional serotonin and has to get used to being without it. That can take some time. That's different than withdrawal.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I have been on Zoloft about 2-2.5 months. I slowly worked my way up to 50 mg, starting at 12.5mg, then moving to 25, then 37.5, and finally I've been at 50 mg for about two weeks now. My sweet spot seemed to be between 25-37.5 mgs--I was feeling pretty good at the time-- but my psych thought 50 would be best for my PDD+anxiety.
