I am currently taking sertraline for mood swings and have been taking it for about 5 years. I also have recently been put on topamax for migraines. I have read about all this wonderful weight loss. If anything I have gained. Could these 2 medicines together be holding me back from losing> I would like to go off of the sertraline.
I am on Sertraline and other antidepressants for many years. I just had sexual intercourse 1 year back and cannot feel any sensation in my penis. I have had sex around 20 times in the last one year as I have an on/off gf.
I have no problem in getting an erection. There is very little sensation of pleasure and mild sensation of some heat in the vagina during intercourse.
I cannot change the anti depressants , like moving to Welbutrin.
Please advise if I can take anything before intercourse.

It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent.

That was some time ago, I didn't take the sertraline then because I felt kind of scared about it because I read it is an antidepresive and I'm not depressive. I have ocd, this year is going to be my 5th year with ocd and with anxiety, with despersonalization and irreality.
Typically it is started at a lower dose of 25mgs and worked up. I have been on it for years and never had those side effects. I had a bit of termors and increased anxiety while I adjusted to the medications but not anything like you said here.
Were you anxious about taking the medication to begin with?
I am having the back and chest pain symptoms that I have found here in the anxiety community. I know I am stressed. I take bupropian, sertraline and trazadone. Is it something I should see the doctor about or is it something that my therapist should be aware of for medicinal purposes? I guess it has been going on so long that I am not sure if I ever talked to her about it.

They both may cause patients to feel tired, dizzy and drowsy. In addition, patients may have impaired mental function and loss of balance. Please avoid driving and drinking alcohol while taking these medications.

I am on 25mg sertraline, day 8 for anxiety and panic attacks - so far only really feeling the side effects and no real relief yet but am very hopeful given all the positive comments I've read online - if I can just last until it starts to kick in. Also hoping that I won't require a higher dosage.
Im taking seroquel (quatiapine ) and Sertraline ( serenata ) that prescribed by my doc. can you please give me some additional advices on how to control my self from pullling out a hair. seriously is not that easy to control or stop your hands from pulling a hair.
Well done on the weight-loss. I gained 32lb on sertraline (zoloft) and havent managed to shift much at all.
I just finished Sovaldi and olysio and no hair loss at all, in fact hair looked great
I do have hypothyroid which is familial, mother , daughters have it,
Check your thyroid levels
That can effect hair loss, dryness etc( even my eye brows and under arms thinned from hypothyroidism )
You may need to be on thyroid medication such as synthyroid if it is off
It is a good fit. I ended up in a psych ward for 3 days because I ate a bottle of Prozac and everything else made me feel dead inside. I remember wanting to cry and my eyes actually hurting from trying and I couldn't. It sucked and I hate that people have to go through these feelings

m natural with no chemicals in my hair and I have never had a problem with hair loss. I went from thick long hair to thin short hair. This is so sad. I'm not sure what to do because my skin has really cleared up from Doryx but if I continue to take it I will be bald with pretty skin! Not a great combination! Thanks for reviews!
