Seroquel zoloft

Common Questions and Answers about Seroquel zoloft

seroquel

Avatar n tn Seroquel is one of the most sedating antipsychotic out there so yes the most reported side-effect is ''weird dream like state and a zombie''. About the Zoloft, yes indeed everyone can react differently to drugs, side effects vary from person to person. It's normal at first to have side-effects that might be overwhelming at first but those tend to disappear once the therapeutic lag is gone or after the first week. There's is one thing I don't understand.
Avatar m tn I have been on Zoloft for 4 weeks and cant sleep. My Dr increased the dosage to 150mgs and it has not helped. I stay up all night, and when I go to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror, my pupils are dilated. Is this normal? Told my Dr I was going to stop taking it and she insist I stay on it. She says Im being childish and that I need to take Seroquel at night to sleep, and to take the Zoloft in the mornings. I am sick of taking anymore pills!
Avatar m tn Before, i was on zoloft and adivan, mostly took the adivan at night for sleeping issues.. But that hasnt worked, i saw my new psych md today and she gave me seroquel, and told me to only take it before bed time. I'll still be taking zoloft but no more adivan.. Has anyone took seroquel? Again, i have panic disorder, low self esteem... and depression sometimes...
1176924 tn?1263760300 IM ALSO WONDERING ...I STOPED THE ZOLOFT BUT STARTED 25MG OF SEROQUEL (sorry for yelling)..i figure that might help the withdrawl from zoloft..
1538831 tn?1294199202 Just got some seroquel today and im a little iffy about it. Im currently taking 25 mg of zoloft, 1mg of ativan as needed, mostly for panic attacks, 1 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide a day for blood pressure, and now they want me to use 1 25 mg tab of seroquel at bedtime. Im only 23 and hate to think i need all of these meds, but when im not doing what the docs say i do feel worst. Im gonna try one pill tonite and decide if i need it i guess? Any Suggestions.

I plan on going to FL for vacation in July and when I get back I have to start Hep C treatments, I am going to drink one last time. Can I drink while Im on this med? I know that since I have been taking the seroquel I feel ALOT BETTER!! I was extremely depressed but now Im doin okay. I cant skip this med, Im afraid of that sever depression, but I also want ot let my hair down one last time. What would you suggest?
459981 tn?1212193981 My husband has bipolar disorder and seroquel and zoloft were awful for him (and me!!) If a medication is not working, and your psychiatrist is not listening, find a new doctor. My husbands first doctor was not listening to him and treated him like dirt so we got a new one and are very happy with him. Some antipsychotic and ssri medications are "safe" to take during pregnancy (meaning benefits outweigh the risks), but from what I have read seroquel may not be one of them.
Avatar m tn In my case Seroquel did not cause any erectile dysfunction but Zoloft did as well as Wellbutrin. Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
Avatar n tn My wife appears to me to have been addicted to Adderol and Zoloft. She became uncontrolable one day and I had to call 911. Within 4 days, she made a credible suicide threat and shortly after that I got her to go to a local hospital for an evaluation. She was admitted to a locked psych unit were the initial diagnosis was Bipolar I, manic. She was taken off of Adderol and Zoloft and put on Abilify(daily) and Seroquel(as needed).
142722 tn?1281533616 To be honest, I would be more concerned about the Seroquel than the Zoloft. Does your OB plan on keeping you on BOTH meds? Seeing your psychiatrist is a great move, just be sure you run the plan by your OB before starting any new med. The Zoloft will take at LEAST 4-6 weeks to really start working...some people a little less, some people a little longer. Just be sure to keep in close communication with your OB.
Avatar f tn I suferred from gad and panic desorder. I'm on zoloft 175mg, clonopin 1mg 3 times a day, seroquel 100mg to go to sleep and 25 mg twice a day, however, I don't take the seroquel morning dose because it makes me too sleepy. I'm desperate trying to find out why I'm still having anxiety and the ton of meds are not working. I was on disability for two months and just went back to work. I've been constantly crying and being anxious. I don't know what to do.
Avatar f tn I am on Zoloft and seroquel for bipolar. How much sleep should i get at night to feel good in the morning? I've been asleep for almost twelve hours and woken up dead tired to the point that I'll turn my alarm off and not get up... Help?

3189527 tn?1346667221 ve been waking up almost every morning for the last 3 weeks completely nauseous and shaky. I can barely walk. I went on Zoloft, Seroquel and Remeron back in January. I started feeling much better so I stopped taking the Zoloft and Seroquel about 2 months ago. Now I am going through the same nightmare.
Avatar m tn My physiologist prescribed zofoft 200mg. My question is about seroquel he has me taken 50mg at night. Is this drug safe and does it work for anyone . Just don't know about all the side effects. Please help if any information.
Avatar n tn hello, i was diagnosed with ocd. ive been on zoloft for 5 months on-going. it's nice and helpful. i used to have intrusive sexual/aggressive/religious agressive thoughts. now i have shifted from these to having random songs stuck in my head and it's been horrible for my sleeping. i have only had about 4 hours of sleep for the past two days because of this. ive been reading books, and stuff but its stuck. i wake up in the morning. and the song goes back on loop what do i do?
447130 tn?1225470866 I was on seroquel from the beginngin of my BD diagnosis. I started at 50mg... 5 yrs later I was up to 800 and my body totally began rejecting the drug. I was put on Zyprexa, 2mg Klonopin, and 300mg Zoloft. After about 7 months on Zyprexa, I had gained 70 lbs and was extremely manic. I went into the hospital and was started back on Seroquel - 300mg at night; 75 mg during the day; no more Knolopin and zoloft was kept the same. This was back in June - it's now the end of October.
Avatar n tn I have been taking zoloft for about 11 years or so and am currently on a dose of 200mg per day. I also take 400mg seroquel at night. I've read about brain shivers upon withdrawal from zoloft but currently experience brain shivers whilst taking zoloft. I take the zoloft in the morning and by about 3pm or 4pm begin getting the electric shocks in my brain. I used to get this only if i missed a dose but they are quite regular now and i am consistent with taking my meds.
Avatar m tn I have been on 200 mg Zoloft, 200 mg lamictal, wellbutrin and 3 mg Xanax daily for 3 years. before welbutrin I was on abilify and it worked very well but it was unaffordable so doc changed it to welbutrin , which I never thought worked. I started feeling down and anxious and asked the dr to change me back to abilify since I had new ins that will cover it . Instead she weaned me off the Zoloft in only 9 days with instructions to start pristiq 50 mg daily after the nine days.
Avatar f tn I was on 100mg of zoloft and 100mg of seroquel for major depression and bipoloar disorder. After only a week on this medication I began to feel extremely weird (which i figured would happen). One night I got a massive ringing in my right ear which made me almost feel like my entire right side was paralized or I was going to have a stroke but it went away. The next day I started to feel extremely dizzy and my heart began to race and I thought I was going to pass out.
142722 tn?1281533616 I am 32weeks preggo, on seroquel OB said to talk zoloft asked shrink he said it could make me worse and put me into manic state.
Avatar m tn Did you make the switch? I am new to this site and came across this. Once upon a time ... I had very very very good luck with Risperdal combined with Zoloft. I was able to even come off both for 6 years without issue. That is something you need to discuss with your pdoc though and work on tapering under the pdoc's care. Anyway, I found that Risperdal was a game changer and 99.9% of my fears subsided. Best of luck!!!
Avatar m tn So over the summer i took way too much zoloft, i think i went from not taking any to 125 mg for 5 days. I started yawning alot, my pupils got huge, and i got uncontrollable muscle twitches and jerks. On the 5th day i woke up shivering excessively and just in a complete panicked state. I got off Zoloft immediately and took a long detox period. I tried taking it again, but everytime i did my body went right back into that crazy state.
Avatar f tn ive been put on multiple meds just bc of experimenting to see if theyd work on depression.. Zoloft, seroquel, septalaphram, geodon and respirdol. I realized at some point i felt like a zombie..i couldnt taste or feel and didnt care about anything, such as hygiene, hobbies, friends or family, grades..it didnt matter. I felt less than depressed, like an empty shell. So i quit taking those meds and some of the things have gone away but i still feel very vague..like in a dreamlike state..
Avatar n tn I take it in conjunction with klonopin, tramadol, zoloft, and vistiril. I suspect that your seroquel has been added to other meds you take? This is not ordinarily the first drug a doctor will try for psychotic problems. I, too have bad memory, and I know it is from these drugs, after having been on them plenty long enough. I have developed a habit of writing EVERYTHING down, no matter how insignificant, so I never have to worry about not remembering something.
Avatar m tn If Seroquel is being prescribed as a sleep aid yes, within a psychiatrist's discretion. If its being used as a mood stabilizer then it would have to be taken every day though the timing could vary. If someone can't tolerate it at all as regards any sedation then other available options could be discussed with a psychiatrist.
