seroquel with wellbutrin

prescribed Wellbutrin to help me taper. I never went off them, but does anyone know if this heps with Vicodin withdrawal? I aso suffer from depression and Wellbutrin is supposed to help with that also. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

i am currently taking 150mg of seroquel xr and 75mg of wellbutrin 3x daily. im taking seroquel xr for bipolar but i seem to have anxiety now. socail anxiety.. could i be miss diagnosed? should i stop taking the wellbutrin for depression and increase my dosage of seroquel xr to 300-400mg?

I am on Lithium and Wellbutrin, it totally rocks for me. I love wellbutrin, I lose weight, feel peppy and over all better. Oh yeah, no sucky depression! :0) I have not heard of angry outbursts on it, but if this came about after starting wellbutrin, then I would switch to a different anti-depressent. Some people can not tolerate Wellbutrin. This is my second time using it. I used it alone before I starting having manic spells. They put me back on it after I was on Lithium for a year.

Does anyone have any first hand experiences with Wellbutrin? I have had really really bad anxiety on this medication. However, I had very severe depression that was relieved by only this medication. I have tried other SSRI's and they don't work. I am guessing that since Wellbutrin attaches to the dopamine receptor, this is what I was lacking. Anyhoo, only Ativan will relieve this anxiety. I worry from the time my eyes open until they close (when I get sleep).

Me off Wellbutrin stinks...me on Wellbutrin...perfect therefore I take it and seizure risk is far from my mind. Not something I worry about at all. So will you be better on the meds or off? Right now I'm thinking that you should give it a try. And don't Google stuff...it is just going to cause more problems.

Hey just wondering if anyone with bipolar has been on this (Wellbutrin), alone or with a mood stabilizer? did it help what was your experiences with it? I am thinking of going on it.

Lamictal alone was unable to help me, but the combination with Seroquel has kept me stable. Do not consume yourself with worrying about the side effects - just focus on getting better. Try talk therapy as well. Good luck.

I have seen that you posted quite a bit of questions. I will try to advise you of my experience with Seroquel. I have seen it cause tremors in a lot of people but it did not for me. In a lot of cases this goes away but some do not wish to stay on the medicine long enough for this to happen because the tremors are so bad. In my case Seroquel did not cause any erectile dysfunction but Zoloft did as well as Wellbutrin. Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

dont use seroquel u cant take motrin like ibprofin with it not even advil it has adverse effects on it triliptol usually works so does welbutrin and depicoyte

hi i ran out of medication a week ago and since then i've been feeling amazing. like better than i've felt a LONG time. idk why this is. i was on wellbutrin 300mg and seroquel 150mg for my depression. the only negative affect i've had was less sleep but that's because the seroquel made my sleepy and i got too used to it. i don't know if this is a good thing or not because i'm afraid of having a relapse.

Yep, it can still happen with Wellbutrin. It did for me and I was almost hospitalized.

I have been diagnosed with bipolar and have been prescribed Seroquel and Lexapro. They both have worked and have brought my symptoms under control, but with a lot of side effects. I have an incredible hunger for sweets every day and have had much weight gain. I am too sluggish and tired to work out at the gym or even walk around the block. This has aggravated by sleep apnea which I was recently diagnosed with.

You know, I have this problem, but for me it was caused by going off of Paxil. I got an uncommonly horrid withdrawal from it that has never gone away. I wake up every hour or two, and because I'm an old guy who had prostate surgery, I always have to pee as well. It's hard constantly having to start over relaxing to sleep.

I just got put on Wellbutrin to go with my Lithium a few weeks ago and I have energy again and am getting pretty stable. I can not wait until it fully kicks in! I recently went though a deep depression and had to be hospilized. That is where I got started on wellbutrin. I know Seroquel will zombie you, it does everyone. Also, did you know that 60% of bipolars have migraine? I take magnesium 250mg twice a day, morning and night. It helps out a lot.

) Now I take Tegretol and Wellbutrin, and that seems to be working for me except that I think the Wellbutrin may have triggered olfactory seizures when I was taking it with lithium, seroquel, and prednisone--which all increase the seizure risk of Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is supposed to be least apt to trigger mania, but for those who are triggered, it is usually very bad. Wellbutrin is kind of in a class of it's own, working on dopamine and norepinephrine to some extent.

I had the same symptoms on lexapro. People w/ bipolar can actually respond opposite to some depression meds and it can even send them into a manic state - that's how my pdoc found my bipolar! I don't have any experience with wellbutrin, but I know that mood stabilizers were the only thing that ever helped me personally.

You will generally try the softer SSRIs out there first like Zoloft, Prozac which have their success history. If they fail you generally move on to try a SNRI depending on what the patient is complaning or add a DNRI like Wellbutrin. SNRIs are helpful in patients with lethargy and low motivation.

They were of little benefit. Recently my MD. gave me some samples of 50 mg. of Seroquel XR. After reading the info with the medication, it says Seroquel is prescribed for bi-polar disorder. In my case I don't get the up or manic phase. I was hoping that this medication may be helpful for depression alone. Anyone who takes Seroquel that can give me some insight will be much appreciated.

quetiapine 25mg night, lamotrigine 100mg night, wellbutrin 150mg twice a day. And inderal 10mg as needed for anxiety. Lamotrigine gave me a rash, wellbutrin (generic version) made me irritable and snippy at everything. The seroquel (generic version) has been wonderful, although it makes me hungry but since I take it at night I try not to stay awake with it. Inderal (propranolol) gave me apathy so I am taking less.

I have been a clinical depressive since the age of 9 and was diagnosed with atypical depressive ( which I believe refers to the anxiety disorder). Wellbutrin worked well for me but at that time I was on Celexa. For some reason, Cymbalta caused bad side effects ( blood pressure dropping real low...nausea), so that is when I was put on Zoloft ( 50 mg ) about a year ago and slowly increased to my present dose.

I have been on many different antidepressants over the last 25 years. Cymbalta was the worst experience of all, Prozac, paxil Effexor, all worked for a while but after about 7 to 10 years they just didn't help much and I would switch to another one. My psychiatrist finally put me on Wellbutrin about 7 years ago. OMG it was a life saver, literally.

So today i took the first Lamictal 25 mg and will take another lamictal 25 mg at night with seroquel but i still want to keep taking the topomax and want to know if anyone had done this combo.
