Avatar f tn Hello everyone! I had my appointment with the psychiatrist today, and let me tell you, I am really glad that I had the appointment. Some of you have seen my posts recently that I've had a lot of trouble going to sleep and actually staying asleep. In the past few weeks I've actually stayed up 2 or 3 days all night long, and gone into work. I spoke iwth my psychiatrist and he decided to keep me on some of the same medication and then changed it to other medication.
696149 tn?1314320959 Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I've been a member of Medhelp since....uh December of '08 I think....not sure exactly. Anyway I'll try to make this short since I feel like ****. My Bi-Polar Type II seemed to crop up.....very much overnight in '94. I started using Vicodin to help and it seemed to but of course I got addicted and wasn't able to stop until last December.
Avatar f tn Hi. Here is what is going on with me now...I am on day 14 clean from my 1 year vicodin habit of 8 pills per day. My therapist has me on non addictive medication that is helping with the anxiety A TON. the first week or so it was horrible. so much so I was actually suiciadal. It has gotten so much better. I am on leave from work and my son goes to daycare during the day while my husband is at work and all I have to do iis try to get through this mental withdrawl.
Avatar n tn So i am day 10 of being sober off of a 6 year vicodin habit of 40 tabs of 750mg a day and cant get more than 3 hours of sleep a night. I just got a script from my doc for Seroquel and he says it will help with my sleep and anxiety. But he says it will be about 3-4 days of feeling pretty poor. I am feeling better every day and the last thing i want to do is go through 4 days of feeling like c r a p. I have tried Lunesta, melatonin and benadryl with no luck.
558096 tn?1255887002 hey hun, just careful how much seroquel you take, that stuff will knock you out for sure! Glad you're on a taper!! :) ttys!
2730764 tn?1340148833 See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin is a great help for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose for sleep. Clonidine regulates blood pressure, creepy-crawly feeling and will make withdrawals easier. Please don't start taking the opiates again as it will only throw you back into withdrawals once you stop again, or make you relapse.
696149 tn?1314320959 t want to kill myself, I do feel like dying. At least I have some Seroquel to help out a little. The Seroquel seems to take much of the symptoms away. I say that, but I'm just going into my second day, so. It really is a tragedy as while I was on the Vics I would open up and play with my 11 year old son quite a bit and interact with him. Before I'd interact and play very little but it's like a totally different person.
1523184 tn?1291940756 I just got a letter from my doctor saying that a second consecutive urine test showed no vicodin in my urine, and that his office will no longer prescribe vicodin for me. I'm beside myself because I know I took my vicodin the day before the test. My new Rx was due the week after the test and I obviously didn't get my prescription. The only thing that I can possibly think of that is my fault is that I drink a tremendous amount of water every day, probably more than a gallon.
675923 tn?1296238011 I went onto the Addiction site. I asked a Dr. about coming off of my Vicodin that I have been on for three years due to various injuries, headaches, surgeries. I think I am going through withdrawals including the Christmas mess. Six days ago I just stopped the pain pills because I'm not in much pain. With my levels of Lithium, I cannot take any anti inflamitories. This was the same day the manic set in.
1058304 tn?1257042315 I was taking 20-30 vicodin es per day for about 2 years. After seeing what it was doing to my body and my financial issues i decided to take control of my life and stop. I have been off them for 5-6 days now and all wd's are gone with the exception of sleep. I already have RLS and have had it for 20 years. But now without the vicodin it has gotten 100 times worse. I take Klonopin for the RLS.
Avatar f tn Stoping xs Vicodin after years. I've needed too. Now had no choice cuz the pain dr is throwing me out thinking I'm not taking them. I was just to many in the beginning I the months. Not sure how I will do with the withdraws. They have put me on a low dose of Fentolyn but I don't think this is doing anything but making me sicker.
Avatar f tn Hey his is my first time posting I'm 29 I've been taking vicodin 10mg for almost 2 years off an on but worse in these last few months.
1117252 tn?1259719779 Hey all. I've been on Subutex for 3 years - due to a relapse. Worst mistake of my life. I've kicked heroin many times, but can't kick the sub. Not to mention my "conspiracy theory" on Subutex, but I won't give you that talk now - and I've seen many of you think the same. I found out I was pregnant while in my third year of Sub treatment - so it's not like I switched.
Avatar f tn I really do want to, as first off I can't afford them and I can't stand the games anymore or the inevitable withdrawl. I currently take 2 lithiums in the morning to fight my bi-polar. They seem to help, but during this withdrawl process, they just didn't. I was and still am sooo depressed, always on the weekends too. So, my script for tramadol came up and I started again. I hate going back and forth from pill to pill, taking whatever is available so I don't get sick.
Avatar f tn I'm new to this forum.  About 4 years ago I started to take vicodin...to which I became dependant on.   Physically and emotionally.  My boyfriend and I live together, and he's addicted too.  He's actually prescribed to it as he has knee and back trouble.    About a year ago I went to a doctor and he gave me suboxin.  8 mg, twice a day.  So basically we share the vicodin when he gets it and the suboxin when I get it.
Avatar m tn My doctor put me on this to help with mood problems while getting off Vicodin. Well I haven't had any Vicodin for months now. However, the Risperdal seems to make me feel fatigued and not wanting to do anything. I could do without it I think...
Avatar f tn My doctor was giving me 4 Vicodin 5s a day and it got to were i was taking more then i shld ... now she cut me off.. thank god... My boyfriend who knows all about my addiction in the past doesnt know about this ... and Im trying not to tell him and my mother... it would let them down... I asked a friend to help me... I gave her what I had left and told her only give a few for the next couple days ... that was 2 weeks ago... and she gives em to me everyday if I ask.. I told her not to ...
Avatar n tn and your very kind words my problem is side effects. after 1 year of different combos i finally found seroquel and abilify with ativan and lexapro worked well for me. then the side effects hit. abilify and eye twitching. they did a b12 level on me cause research shows low b12 can also cause eye twitching. seroquel caused my bood sugars to go high but i have a strong family history of type 2 diabetes. any way.
Avatar f tn I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.
Avatar n tn When I went down to 2mg again the leg problems went away. Then my doctor decided to switch me to Seroquel. I gradually increased my dosage up to 100 mg. At that point, my leg troubles began again. Unfortunately, they never ended. I got off the Seroquel and the leg pain persisted. It's bad in the morning. My right hamstring is always stiff. It can get better or worse without any rhyme or reason.
Avatar f tn Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?
Avatar m tn Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?
Avatar m tn I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!
518117 tn?1429276273 I ran across something on the net about Seroquel. It was another forum that I got the info about Seroquel. On this forum someone was talking about there being a tort action lawsuit against the makers of Seroquel. That it is causing excessive weight gain, diabetes, very high blood pressure in people taking this antipsychotic. I am wanting to know further about these complications caused by Seroquel. My 28 year old son has been on this med for approximately 4 years now.
Avatar f tn I just started Seroquel. The first tab last night. I felt so trippy. It scared me and I made myself go to sleep just to avoid the experience I was having. I also heard it causes crazy weight gain. Is that true? Right now I feel nausea.
