seroquel trip

i am back from my mania, a bad and unsafe trip. Possibly i am having a gentle landing but is it only a stop over, i.e. eventually shall i plunge into depression my extended trip. nobody knows. i tried lithium, lamictal and with no success, it seems i am addicted to the antipsychotics or that is how i was brought up and fed upon. i read in wikipedia that seroquel can be used as monotherapy, meaning good also for depression and approved by the FDA.

), but I know all too well what Seroquel can do to ya. Seroquel is a VERY serious drug for people with psychological issues. I used to know a girl who was a bonafied sex addict (no joke here, she had a really bad disease) who was on Seroquel. I won't go into any details, but believe me....she really was sick. Real sex addiction is nothing to laugh at. She gave me a couple of Seroquel one time and I just took one, and was as f**ked up as a person can possibly get.

hi i take seroquel xr and normal seroquel for bipolar disorder. the seroquel xr is a slow release tablet so it works over the night and the day. so i take the seroquel xr 450mg at about 7.30pm then at about 9.30pm i take the normal seroquel 250mg. it helps with sleep too.

ve also been prescribed gabapentin (nuerontin) and seroquel, while also taking suboxone, and I can honestly say the "nodding off" feeling that the altogether mixture of gabapentin and seroquel, and also probably suboxones, I think made me relapse the times I did...because like you and revmo37 discussed, the sedatives can give u even worse cravings....goodluck though, i've been battling this for years, and I am with you in this...it's not easy, not one bit..

I would be inclined to recommend something like that before Seroquel. Some people have success with Seroquel, but in my own opinion, I think an SSRI is a more reasonable choice, for a few reasons. Obviously, MANY of the symptoms you experienced that were attributed to anxiety, were actually a result of the CM. The plus side of that is, I would imagine a good bit of your anxiety will be alleviated once those symptoms are brought under control post-op. When is your surgery?

She was taken off of Adderol and Zoloft and put on Abilify(daily) and Seroquel(as needed). She balked, made another suicide threat, then had an ingestion that resulted in a trip to the hospital and another admission to a psych unit. Her denail began to fade, and she actually started taking the Abilify and Seroquel. Once she felt better, she got back on the Adderoll/Zoloft rollercoaster and off the Abilify and Serouquel. She is also bulemic and purges after every meal.

tried all the sleep meds, narcotic injection, 2 dramamine, 4 dramamine, 2-4 benedryl, seroquel every other remedy that is supposed to induce a sleep. No luck with it, due to my thyroid "problem" I was wondering if anyone had this same problem, took a sudafed, or some other type of med that keeps you alert, and had a reverse reaction to it. You know, where it put you out instead of bumping up the energy. getting desperate here, for sleep.

so i was diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder a little over a month ago and have been taking seroquel which made me worse than ever and it has been my family doctors recomendation to fire the psychiatrist and stop taking the seroquel and get back on an ssri medication. has anyone had this happen? my psychiatrist seemed very uneducated but most importantly would not listen to me about how this medication was affecting my body and just kept telling me to take more and more... Im confused.

I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.

Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?

Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?

I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!

I ran across something on the net about Seroquel. It was another forum that I got the info about Seroquel. On this forum someone was talking about there being a tort action lawsuit against the makers of Seroquel. That it is causing excessive weight gain, diabetes, very high blood pressure in people taking this antipsychotic. I am wanting to know further about these complications caused by Seroquel. My 28 year old son has been on this med for approximately 4 years now.

I just started Seroquel. The first tab last night. I felt so trippy. It scared me and I made myself go to sleep just to avoid the experience I was having. I also heard it causes crazy weight gain. Is that true? Right now I feel nausea.

Hi my name is Mike and my wife is now currently in the hospital from overdose of seroquel and maybe other medications that she might have.

My sub doc gave me Seroquel. He said it was for bi-polar, but he gave it to me at 50mgs. for sleep and it really helped me sleep, just a bite out of one at night. He also said that it would linger or last through the day to help with the anxiety/depression. I don't think that has worked as I'm still a basket case. jk...

If Seroquel is being prescribed as a sleep aid yes, within a psychiatrist's discretion. If its being used as a mood stabilizer then it would have to be taken every day though the timing could vary. If someone can't tolerate it at all as regards any sedation then other available options could be discussed with a psychiatrist.

My doctor has recommended Seroquel for my insomnia. Since i am a parkinsons patient, I was wondering if this ,might make my parkinsons worse?

the doctor put my husband on seroquel for anxiety. i was on them last year from my psychiatrist for sleep. of course i can't gauge how they worked because i was just adding them to the stew as it were. his are extended release. mine were not. the doctor gave him samples to last 1 month. he seems to be doing well on them, but i know my husband. these are going to be expensive even with insurance.

hi everyone, was just wondering if you guys have had any trouble with Seroquel? I am being put on it for sleep, and I have read up on it, and the side effects are kinda scarey. Does anyone have any input? My Dr. is putting me on a very tiny dose to start, as I reacted to Nortriptyline and have been on nothing for sleep for 3 days now. Can anyone give me some help please??

Iam on seroquel and Iam coming off of it and iam on 400mg and once i take it iam out like a light and i canlt hear anything for the night and iam having a trouble waking up in the morning and iam feeling not to good my doctor is lowering them doese by doese but there has been times i havent been taking them at all and then i take them and when i do i feel really bad after that and i need get off of them because they have made me gain wieght and iam getting more sleep then i should be have been o

i have recently got off seroquel for anxiety and i have been off of it for 4 days now and i am itchy, i am having depressed phases, i am very nauseous when does this go away before the 50mgxr i was on 100mg that was 2 weeks ago should i take another pill or just stop like i have been doing?

I believe all atypical antipsychotics are FDA approved as mood stabilizers. However, Seroquel I believe is more effective than some others but only a psychiatrist could explain for sure. The three newest antipsychotics, Abilify, Fanapt and Saphris are the least likely to cause weight gain and sedation though they can be activating. Seroquel can cause tachycardia which is a speeded up heart beat. I had that from it. That's generally not of concern.

I would want to know from the members of this forum about how many people are using Seroquel only as a sleeping aid in doses of 25 mg and 50 mg.All suggestions and answers are welcome.
