Seroquel rage

Common Questions and Answers about Seroquel rage

seroquel

Avatar m tn very strange i begin to wonder lately whether seroquel becoming ineffective or what else. I have rage everynow and then. But it was seroquel that used to calm me down. However the frequency of my rage rose since I took it. ILADVOCATE says it has an equal potential of sedation as well as agitation. I fear of playing with my drugs. Nowadays I am in a phase of elation bit by bit.
Avatar n tn I am a BP I with psychotic features. I know all about rage. Boy did I have rage! Screaming, throwing things, slamming things, yanking my kids around (thank GOD I never really hurt them although I could have), and I could NOT control it. It would just leap out of me and over take me! Then I would throw alcohol on top of it. That would calm me down for a bit but then it had a boom a rang effect and I'd be in a depressed rage.
Avatar f tn 10+ years on Seroquel for sleep. That's roughly 3,650 pills and nights of restful sleep. Many say you can't get addicted to sleeping pills....but try saying that after 10 years and your body has no idea how to sleep without it. If I run out of pills or lose them....I lose my ever-loving mind. I cry, I panic, I don't sleep. I've tried a few times before and after so many days of not sleeping I can't control my outbursts.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Depakote and Seroquel Xr since October 2010 and I actually quite like them LOL after being on so many mood stabilisers and antipsychotics. In May the Seroquel was increased from 300mg to 400mg as I was becoming very irritable and unable to cope with small amounts of stress without flying into a rage and then being left with lots of tears of guilt about being so nasty. I had also noticed that my sleep was getting less and less as the Seroquel wasn't making me as drowsy.
Avatar m tn My son is 15 and is autistic. He has a history of severe aggression and rage as well as seizures. He has been on a variety of medications over the past two years to try and control his behavior. Recently he developed facial tics that, after research, look like tardive dyskinesia. Naturally this has me VERY worried, especially about the permanence of this problem. The only thing I can think of that might have caused this was Seroquel. He took it at bed time for about two years.
2080404 tn?1643113754 i've been diagnosed with Bipolar depression and Borderline Personality disorder with moods that shift daily, ranging from hypomania to severely depressed. about 10 years ago a doctor tried me on Lithium and it didn't seem to be having an effect so i was taken off it and that's the last medication i was taking until recently when my PCP put me on Trazodone for anxiety and insomnia.
574118 tn?1305135284 My manias are mainly rage. Not in my head but my body gets this wanting to be out of my skin feeling and whom ever is around it happens to them, my mouth gets out of hand. It definately is not very often any more, not for ten years/medicine started ten years ago. Before it was twice, three, four times a month, maybe, not sure. Lithium has been the key leveler, but since I have been on natural antidepressants one thing is for sure the ugly dragon raises its head once in awhile and I rage.
Avatar n tn I am Bi Polar with psychotic features and was experiencecing someithing very similar to what your son goes through but it was more a rage/angel and demons thing - SEROQUEL! Total life saver. I take it daily. The PDR and DSM IV doesn't recommend it but the FDA jsut approved it for longer use in the treatment of BiPolar Disorder for mania and depression.
Avatar f tn I do not get extreme happiness I get extremely angry and have been known to rage out. Does anyone else have this issue?
535152 tn?1215015169 About a year and a half ago he was diagnosed w/ depression and has been on effexor and then zoloft and for little bits of time ativan and seroquel. When he is 'depressed' he is in bed quite a bit and cannot seem to do anything- no work not even being with his family. But when he's feeling good he's a whole nother person if that makes sense. He doesn't have huge mood swings but i still wonder if he is bi-polar? He does have much of a temper usually at all.
Avatar f tn hey silent rage, as long as u take the seroquel at bedtime and get at least 5-7hrs sleep u shouldn’t be zombiefied. Depakote doesn’t really make u feel loopy it’s more a mood stabilizer then downer. definitely works, worked for me for yrs. I actually just got back on them myself however in my opinion seroquel is very potent. But if u feel really groggy in morn, they do have a .25mg that my work better for u. Hopes this helps ya. Ive been bi-polar for over thirty yrs.
750223 tn?1234384662 I had that actually last week(not the wanting to fly, but rage) , they had to tweak my meds, sometime if you are given too many benzo's it will have the opposite reaction. There are drugs that you can take daily though, we can't diagnose you here, but I am on Seroquel 300mgs@ night, because that was the worst time for me, I'd get buzzy at night, and if I get break throgh anxiety even rage I add another 50mgs, but it works better then a benzo long term.
Avatar f tn I am on 400 mg of Lamictal which is the highest dose of it that is supposed to be prescribed. I love it and it along with my Seroquel makes up the best combination of meds I have ever been on. As long as I stay on it I can remain pretty stable.
477959 tn?1208204005 ok a brief history. I am 25 years old with a history of rage attacks since the age of 3, I mean the kinda rage that once I lose it I cannot stop myself. I always turn to hurting myself never others cause it seems like the pain is almost soothing. Anyway I have been on xanax since I was 17 and had always just been diagnosed with GAD and depression but ssri's made me suicidal and all in all much worse. I recently was put into a psych ward after a night of drinking and a suicide attempt.
Avatar f tn No, that's not normal... "Normal" or "good" thyroid levels are not the same as optimal, so if you're still having these feelings, you might possibly need adjustment in your meds. If you'll post your actual thyroid hormone levels, with reference ranges we can take a look and see if you might need some adjustment. Be sure to post your med(s) and dosage(s), as well.
Avatar f tn I am having a baby due on Monday the 12th. I had to stay on my Seroquel the entire pregnancy. I was on 400 mg before becoming pregnant and tried to lower it down to 300 mg when I found out. I had to go back up to 400mg after the first trimester because I became moody, and angry. I was on birth control that didn't work due to my hypothyroidism. This is kinda my second Seroquel baby. Except with my first I was off my Seroquel during the first trimester.
Avatar f tn Hi there: I too have bi-polar and have just added Latuda to my mix. I also take Seroquel. I have been on the Latuda for 5 nights. So far I have not experienced anything out of the ordinary. No twitching or anything. Wondering if that will be starting anytime soon. So far so good.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Seroquel (quetiapine) for about four months and I haven't had but a few breakthroughs of mania or depression in a few months. Plus the added benefit of knocking me clean out when I go to bed. The only thing that I don't like about it and this is something to look at if you start experiencing this, is it gives me very vivid nightmare.
Avatar n tn t stress enough that the extended release Seroquel is the best, normal Seroquel knocks me out and the weight gain is just as bad as all the others, but the XR is really good, it guarantees that I sleep, every night. I guess I'm trying to say that there is hope out there! I know thats hard to believe..if you are not happy with your meds keep going back to the pdoc until you get the help you need. My pdoc suggested Sertraline (zoloft) for the PMDD but it sent me manic.
Avatar m tn m really more controlled then I used to be. Lamictal helps a bit, but getting onto a higher dose of Seroquel and 250mgs Lamictal, between the two, they have mellowed me out considerably. I was bouncing off the walls when I was only take 50mgs 3xday, I'm now on 100mgs SeroqeulXR lunchtime and 300mgsXR @ bed, it helps my brain shut down, it's the worst afternoon and evening.
Avatar f tn I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.
