Can seroquel cause breathing problems? I've been taking them for about four years and as of the last month my breathing has been really bad at night when I take them. If they're for schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, you'll need to stay on some sort of antipsychotic, but different ones have different side effect profiles for different people. If it's for bipolar or as an add on for depression, you can switch drug classes entirely, which might work better for you.

A new dr and many many months later, he is only now in a position to get back a part of his life, being psychotic, unemployed, and a danger to him self and others was not enough for his original dr to see seroquel as being the problem. You can build up tolerance to a medication, but I wouldn't say Seroquel is an addictive med. I certainly experienced no problems (I had others related, which made me stop, but addiction is not one I experienced nor have heard of).
