seroquel price

She has been on Seraquil for 1 1/2 years now, but is very expensive. Who makes Seraquil and how do I find a way to get it at a redused price or free?

He is on seroquel currently. What I read is that the antidepressant can actually negate some of the effects of the seroquel. As I said, I am desparate at the moment because of his threats.

It seems very strange that risperadone is covered and seroquel is not as they are about the same price. I would perhaps double check and make sure it wasn't an error. I loved what risperadone did to my brain, but it spiked my prolactin levels so I had to go off of it. I was taking lamotrigine too at the time and didn't find it tipped me high, but I am bipolar 2 so I don't get full blown mania.

I had a medicine emergency 2 nights ago. I've been taking two 50mg pills of Seroquel, so far that's the only med that's helped me sleep and in effect helped a bit with my depression. I don't see my original psychiatrist anymore that prescribed this. Well my prescription finished but I knew I had a refill so I waited, and when I went to the pharmacy, they gave 200mg pills instead of 50mg and told me the Psychiatrist had increased it.

I imagine some of this is marketting by the drug companies as Abilify is twice the price of Seroquel. To those who have switched from one antipsychotic to Abilify how did you find it worked comparitively. To anyone who is on it, would you suggest taking it? How has it helped you? I ask because I am on Ziprexa (Geodone in the US) and it causes me some agitation.

Talked to my pdoc yesterday about a long term drug. I'm taking Seroquel and Escitalopram at the mo. Seroquel is not approved here as along term maintenance drug and she has suggested either valproate or olanzapine as I can't take Lithium because of blood pressure issues and a possibility of kidney failure. I am very sensitive to drugs and usually take the lowest does possible as I get all the rare side effects. I only take 50mg of Seroquel and thats enough to bring me down.

Before the end of 2008 I was taking Clonazepam, (1mg three times a day) Effexor XR (75 mgs 3 of them every morning) Trileptal (cannot remember dosage, but i took two in the morning and three in the evening) Seroquel (200mg once at night) and my birth control yasmin. This combination of medicine worked EXCELLENTLY after almost 10 years of testing out medications and was able to function MUCH better than ever in my lifetime. Mainly the addition of seroquel and trileptal.

so now they have uped my seroquel, i take 450mg of seroquel XR at 8pm the at 9.30pm take 300 normal seroquel. its such a high dose but it is helping. i get the worst depresive lows and it is helping abit. i also take lexapro 20mg in the morning. i can understand how you feel about taking meds to seem normal to other people.its not fair no one can understand what its like.

topamax is not an atypical antipsychotic rather an off-label anticonvulsant (antiepilepsy) drug to stabilize BP. Strange one of the side effects is anorexia (loss of appetite). The only drug i know which doesn't cause weight gain is lamotrigine. But aside from it all the AC's, lithium, AP's even AD's cause weight gain. In short all BP drugs increase weight. That's a price we pay. I recall once Oprah had a program for BP and all the guests were rather heavy weight persons.

Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?

Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?

I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!

I ran across something on the net about Seroquel. It was another forum that I got the info about Seroquel. On this forum someone was talking about there being a tort action lawsuit against the makers of Seroquel. That it is causing excessive weight gain, diabetes, very high blood pressure in people taking this antipsychotic. I am wanting to know further about these complications caused by Seroquel. My 28 year old son has been on this med for approximately 4 years now.

I just started Seroquel. The first tab last night. I felt so trippy. It scared me and I made myself go to sleep just to avoid the experience I was having. I also heard it causes crazy weight gain. Is that true? Right now I feel nausea.

Hi my name is Mike and my wife is now currently in the hospital from overdose of seroquel and maybe other medications that she might have.

My sub doc gave me Seroquel. He said it was for bi-polar, but he gave it to me at 50mgs. for sleep and it really helped me sleep, just a bite out of one at night. He also said that it would linger or last through the day to help with the anxiety/depression. I don't think that has worked as I'm still a basket case. jk...

If Seroquel is being prescribed as a sleep aid yes, within a psychiatrist's discretion. If its being used as a mood stabilizer then it would have to be taken every day though the timing could vary. If someone can't tolerate it at all as regards any sedation then other available options could be discussed with a psychiatrist.

My doctor has recommended Seroquel for my insomnia. Since i am a parkinsons patient, I was wondering if this ,might make my parkinsons worse?

the doctor put my husband on seroquel for anxiety. i was on them last year from my psychiatrist for sleep. of course i can't gauge how they worked because i was just adding them to the stew as it were. his are extended release. mine were not. the doctor gave him samples to last 1 month. he seems to be doing well on them, but i know my husband. these are going to be expensive even with insurance.

hi everyone, was just wondering if you guys have had any trouble with Seroquel? I am being put on it for sleep, and I have read up on it, and the side effects are kinda scarey. i have recently got off seroquel for anxiety and i have been off of it for 4 days now and i am itchy, i am having depressed phases, i am very nauseous when does this go away before the 50mgxr i was on 100mg that was 2 weeks ago should i take another pill or just stop like i have been doing?

I believe all atypical antipsychotics are FDA approved as mood stabilizers. However, Seroquel I believe is more effective than some others but only a psychiatrist could explain for sure. The three newest antipsychotics, Abilify, Fanapt and Saphris are the least likely to cause weight gain and sedation though they can be activating. Seroquel can cause tachycardia which is a speeded up heart beat. I had that from it. That's generally not of concern.
