how much seroquel, xanax, and alcohol causes an overdose. im qworried about my sister, she ha been prescribed xanax for 8 years now at 2mg a day, so her tolerance is well established. she is also an alcoholic. thankfully, she knows not to combine xanax while drinking, but what about the addition of seroquel? could she OD from the pill combination alone? would then the addition of alcohol just pretty much seal her fate?

s still out as to whether it was caused by just the alcohol/benzo withdrawal, overdose quantities of seroquel, or the seroquel simply didn't allow my brain chemistry to re-normalize on its own, and it was brought on by physical activity after being down for a week. seroquel is an antipsychotic not a sedative, and it can be contraindicated in some individuals.

This dose is working for me and is not an overdose. My moods have been BAD BAD BAD as of late, so in addition to the seroquel being increased, so has my lithium.

Luckily for you, the overdose amount for seroquel is much higher than you took. I would suggest that you contact your doctor. He won't be happy with you taking more than prescribed but may increase your amount or try something else.

Hmmm... Has she said why you're a big risk for OD on mood stabilizers? Is it something to do with your metabolism or she thinks you're suicidal? As it is, it depends on the person. If you've been on them before and didn't find them helpful, it's possible it doesn't work for you. However, if you ended them before they had a chance to get to a therapeutic level, it could be a dosage issue. Only you know how they affected you.

There appear to be warnings about liver damage with Seroquel in combination with alcohol. The full information would be available on the medication website. It would be essential to discuss all this wth your psychiatrist as to potential health effects. Also drinkng can make many medications less effective. It would be worthwhile to discuss this with your psychiatrist as well.

I took 40 25mg seroquel, 20+ 5mg Valium and 14 150mg exeflor xr with lemonade. I woke. Up this morning at 5:30am. Why did it not work?

I agree with the above posters and would like to add Seroquel and Alcohol are a very bad combination.. not only does it affect coordination but your thinking memory and everything else.. Really a bad bad combo.. It sounds like the Seroquel is prescribed the booze isn't.. I hope you give up the Alcohol as it will throw a Monkey wrench in everything you try.. Be kind to yourself..

If he's just taking hydrocodone, and not mixing with other drugs or alcohol, it would take alot to overdose. Especially if he has a tolerance. I would say its more likely he would need to go to the hospital for APAP toxicity than hydrocodone overdose. APAP (tylenol) is mixed with the hydrocodone and is not good for the liver in high doses. Just tell him not to go crazy and make sure he doesn't mix with alcohol or other drugs (besides weed), and he should remain alive.

I hope this is a real wake up call for you cuz you are lucky you woke up. We have a fantastic alcohol forum here too. I would really recommend you checking that out along with some sort of aftercare. You say you are a heavy drinker already and you are young. There is a life out here that is fulfilling that doesnt require any type of substance abuse. Please get real honest with yourself, you got real lucky....this time.

Hello, I would like to know if it is safe to fly and be taking medical treatment for a year with Seroquel 300 and Fluoxetine (Prozac). I have to take a plane in a few days and let me know if it is safe to take this treatment ((people taking Seroquel and flew by plane more than 6 hours) I would also like to know the flight experiences in other patients taking Seroquel. I take 25mg seroquel at night and 200mg zoloft a day also. I plan on going to FL for vacation in July and when I get back I have to start Hep C treatments, I am going to drink one last time. Can I drink while Im on this med? I know that since I have been taking the seroquel I feel ALOT BETTER!! I was extremely depressed but now Im doin okay. I cant skip this med, Im afraid of that sever depression, but I also want ot let my hair down one last time. What would you suggest?

Does anyone else have a hard time not turning to drugs or alcohol while experiencing dysphoria or mixed states? I find it extremely difficult. Most of the time I can refrain, but sometimes it's so hard I have no idea what else to do. Therapy doesn't help, the meds aren't working...what are some things you guys do during these times?

Pot is the only thing u cant overdose and die on out of what u listed(u can overdose on too many of any pill and alcohol can be deadly as well).U stated the family member was taking pain meds too.Yes all those meds and presciption pain killers also topped off with alcohol can cause death.

I'm slipping... I've been out three times this week getting drunk. I was reckless... ended up going home with someone. This isn't me... hasn't been me for many, many months....
