seroquel military

has peaked lately with the loss of three jobs in one year due to persecutory delusions. four weeks on 2 x 25 mg seroquel (but had to come off due to tremors and thick tounged speech issues, also twitches on face - doc says (by phone)psych team have never seen that on such a low dose so it can't be the medication tho I was taking NOTHING else but me and my GP saw those twitches and tremors alright! ) ..

I have been taking Seroquel (quetiapine) for about four months and I haven't had but a few breakthroughs of mania or depression in a few months. Plus the added benefit of knocking me clean out when I go to bed. The only thing that I don't like about it and this is something to look at if you start experiencing this, is it gives me very vivid nightmare.

I grew up military so doesn't bother me much but when you marry military man you marry the military also. ***** i know but you have to be patient and understanding how it is being a dependent. It's frustrating and you wanna scream at times but always remember that it's you he comes home to so try not to be so hard on him.

My husband is active duty army and he told me that when the baby is born before we enroll him in tricare that the military makes us have a DNA test done? I told him I don't think its like that anymore. I'm not sure?

Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?

Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?

I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!

I ran across something on the net about Seroquel. It was another forum that I got the info about Seroquel. On this forum someone was talking about there being a tort action lawsuit against the makers of Seroquel. That it is causing excessive weight gain, diabetes, very high blood pressure in people taking this antipsychotic. I am wanting to know further about these complications caused by Seroquel. My 28 year old son has been on this med for approximately 4 years now.

I just started Seroquel. The first tab last night. I felt so trippy. It scared me and I made myself go to sleep just to avoid the experience I was having. I also heard it causes crazy weight gain. Is that true? Right now I feel nausea.

Hi my name is Mike and my wife is now currently in the hospital from overdose of seroquel and maybe other medications that she might have.

My sub doc gave me Seroquel. He said it was for bi-polar, but he gave it to me at 50mgs. for sleep and it really helped me sleep, just a bite out of one at night. He also said that it would linger or last through the day to help with the anxiety/depression. I don't think that has worked as I'm still a basket case. jk...

If Seroquel is being prescribed as a sleep aid yes, within a psychiatrist's discretion. If its being used as a mood stabilizer then it would have to be taken every day though the timing could vary. If someone can't tolerate it at all as regards any sedation then other available options could be discussed with a psychiatrist.

My doctor has recommended Seroquel for my insomnia. Since i am a parkinsons patient, I was wondering if this ,might make my parkinsons worse?

the doctor put my husband on seroquel for anxiety. i was on them last year from my psychiatrist for sleep. of course i can't gauge how they worked because i was just adding them to the stew as it were. his are extended release. mine were not. the doctor gave him samples to last 1 month. he seems to be doing well on them, but i know my husband. these are going to be expensive even with insurance.

hi everyone, was just wondering if you guys have had any trouble with Seroquel? I am being put on it for sleep, and I have read up on it, and the side effects are kinda scarey. Iam on seroquel and Iam coming off of it and iam on 400mg and once i take it iam out like a light and i canlt hear anything for the night and iam having a trouble waking up in the morning and iam feeling not to good my doctor is lowering them doese by doese but there has been times i havent been taking them at all and then i take them and when i do i feel really bad after that and i need get off of them because they have made me gain wieght and iam getting more sleep then i should be have been o

i have recently got off seroquel for anxiety and i have been off of it for 4 days now and i am itchy, i am having depressed phases, i am very nauseous when does this go away before the 50mgxr i was on 100mg that was 2 weeks ago should i take another pill or just stop like i have been doing?

I believe all atypical antipsychotics are FDA approved as mood stabilizers. However, Seroquel I believe is more effective than some others but only a psychiatrist could explain for sure. The three newest antipsychotics, Abilify, Fanapt and Saphris are the least likely to cause weight gain and sedation though they can be activating. Seroquel can cause tachycardia which is a speeded up heart beat. I had that from it. That's generally not of concern.
