seroquel kidneys

I took ect from 4/2008 to 7/2009 and ended up with all kinds of problems. My memory is terrible, short term and long term. I've been on trileptal for 3 yrs and seroquel for a year. The seroquel helps but I put on a lot of weight. I'll never go back to ect.

How can I safely-effectively wean myself off of Seroquel especially and at a later date topomax. I have put on 25 lbs. over 10 years and the Seroquel knocks me out at night and I feel groggy the next morning. 200 mg at night. I've lowered it to 100 mg each night this past week. I hope to do this for one month and see how it goes. My husband and I both dispute the bi-polar diagnosis of 10 years ago; not out of denial (as we are both very educated) but because of the symptoms.

I was on 600-900MG of Seroquel for at least 5 years. I contacted my psychiatrist about stopping the medication when I realized it had been prescribed for a condition I do not have. My doctor was not open to this conversation and I unwisely decided to stop on my own. I did a fair amount of research prior to my titration and even went so far as to map out my titration schedule on a calendar. My main withdrawal concerns were anxiety, rapid heart beat and insomnia.

Again the doctor said to my that i have a stone in the kidneys, doing casual research i truly think the seroquel is the culprit. the doctor said that if i do not feel pain to not worry to much by now. Finally sometime ago i start to read with difficulty, i thought that my eyes wre getting tired because i spend much time in a computer and i read alot for my graduations.

I am on an antipsychotic called geodon. The docs usually give bipolar pts antipsychotics, like resperadol, seroquel, zyprexa(ng), or geodon, or abilify. It depends on which one fits for your condition. Your ADD may be just when you are manic. Antidepressants can make a bipolar person manic after awhile. My daughter(42) has suffered from depression for a long time and is on lexapro. But sometimes she talks nonstop and gets irritable and angry( still single and upset about that).

I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.

I will start off by saying I have no idea where your kidneys are but on my left side Above my hip/under my ribs I am sore its sore when I am turning or bending. Could this be my kidneys?

So I know what the pain feels like, and with my first pregnancy I got one bad kidney infection that I actually thought was me going into labor, until I got to the hospital and found out it was my kidneys. This pregnancy my kidney seems to always feel swollen. Especially once I start feeling like I have to pee. I can hardly get comfortable laying down because of it. I've never had kidney stones and would hope to not ever get them.

Im being admited to the hospital cause one of my sons kidneys are larger than the other and he has fluid in his tummy, im only 34weeks and they may or may not keep him inside me. Has anyone had this problem? How can this happen to him? Im so sad about this:( my poor baby something can happen to him they said.

I had my first doctor appt today since my mc in august AND since finding out I'm pregnant again...I have been having unbearable back pain and so I mentioned it to my doctor and he said it doesn't sound muscular because heat, massage and stretching isn't helping, he said it could be something wrong with my kidneys, he got a urine test & blood work ordered which I will find out next week the results...has anyone experienced anything like this?

I'm 34 weeks and my kidneys are just killing me. I went to the bath room this morning and I had to pee so bad but it was like I was blocked off. I had a uti already with this pregnancy and I don't think that's what it is. The doc confirmed that I had got rid of it. Does anyone possibly know why my kidneys could be hurting so bad.

With your 50 eGFR, they will monitor that for three months, yes? It it remains low, that is indicative of kidneys not working properly. I understand your concern. What does your doctor say about this. I would stay hydrated during this time. When caught early, these things can be improved! Stay on top of this. Blood pressure okay? Diabetes checked? These are big ones to make sure are under control for the kidneys. Let me know any update.

Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?

Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?

I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!
