Seroquel is often used these days as an augmentation drug for all kinds of things, but it looks like a lot of it was fraudulent marketing by the manufacturer. So it's hard to tell how well it works for other than the two things it was approved for. The manufacturer isn't only being sued, the federal gov't has also taken action.

I personally take Lamicatl Welbutrin Trazodone Seroquel These are my bipolar meds all though I do have physical health problems that I also take meds for. Do you have an anxiety disorder as well? I take the seroquel and trazodone for sleep and it works well. I hope this helps.

I personally would not choose seraquil for anxiety unless I had underlying symptoms.The benifit of seroquel is it stays in your system longer than the xanax does, it would also get rid of the comming down feeling you can sometimes get with xanax.25mg. of seroquel is a very low yet reasonable strength for your needs You can over time develop a resistant to the mgs. your taking and will have to raise the dose or go to something else.I am bi polar 1 rapid cycler with acute anxiety. I take 100 mgs.

I have been out of work for 2 months with bad anxiety, nightmares, dizziness. My physiologist prescribed zofoft 200mg. My question is about seroquel he has me taken 50mg at night. Is this drug safe and does it work for anyone . Just don't know about all the side effects. Please help if any information.

When I was taking seroquel, (quetiapine), I found it to be a really stabilising drug, I didn't have any real extremes of mood, and weirdly, never cried. My only problems were that I got very tired at times, and often got cramps in my legs, but after awhile taking it those things became less harsh. Good luck with it.

OK, I'm a tad confused here, so bear with me. Did you have a problem with anxiety BEFORE you saw the doctor about what I'm assuming was some sort of stomach trouble? And now, since you saw this doctor two weeks ago, you've had an on-going panic attack? Correct me if I have anything wrong here. Your doc put you on quetiapine (Seroquel) which is an antipsychotic. You said it knocked you out the first night, but now you need "lots more" to fall asleep.

Seroquel is a serious drug for serious mental illness. It was illegally marketed by the manufacturer (who has been fined and sued successfully for this) for just about everything. So this isn't a drug I would take for sleep (taking any drug for sleep can be a problem long-term, so I hope you're looking for the solution and not just relying on medication) given the strong side effect profile of drugs intended to treat psychosis.

I took 25 mg of Seroquel for GAD and it did wonders! I took it for a year and recently got off because my stresses are gone.

Anybody know anything about Seroquel for anxiety and sleep? I am on 100 mg a night. Experiencing some side effects. What are normal side effects? I have only been on it two weeks.

im taking seroquel xr for bipolar but i seem to have anxiety now. socail anxiety.. could i be miss diagnosed? should i stop taking the wellbutrin for depression and increase my dosage of seroquel xr to 300-400mg?

I've suffered with anxiety most of my life. I've taken numerous anti-depressants for the past 2 years which havent helped (i dont think im depressed). I'm on a 1 year leave from school so that i can get my anxiety under control because it was affecting my school work, i just couldnt do it anymore. The first issue im trying to get under control is my insomnia. When i try to sleep my mind is running so fast with thoughts, so its not that im not tired, i just cant calm my mind.

I am replying to your post just for the sake of support. But your questions are always difficult to answer. Mixed states occur when one is depressed but also angry. He doesn't take an antidepressant which provokes this state, it could well be the disease. I tried myself to function with no AD but failed. Now i am under stablon a French AD non-existent in Canada i am afraid but fantastic for anxiety and mild. There is the welbutrin they say doesn't bring mania.

RUN, RUN from Seroquel!!! They are the victim of multiple lawsuits at present. I was given Seroquel by my doctor for anxiety and insomnia. Neither of these are FDA approved uses, but the VA try's to avoid any "addictive" medications. Well it WORKS for insomnia-you will sleep like a rock and FEEL like a rock the next day. I also gained 45lbs in 3 months!!! I have weighed in the 120's to lower 130's my entire adult life!

i have recently got off seroquel for anxiety and i have been off of it for 4 days now and i am itchy, i am having depressed phases, i am very nauseous when does this go away before the 50mgxr i was on 100mg that was 2 weeks ago should i take another pill or just stop like i have been doing?

And/or just an Other, because some people take medications like the antipsychotic Seroquel for inducing sleep when a person has a mood disorder.

I am also wondering if post-Seroquel, taking mild opiates like Tramadol for his spinal fusion he had in July can also be having a negative reaction to the long term affects of taking Seroquel that he seems to be experiencing. I do not wish to focus on that as much as find out from the community any and all after effects from taking Seroquel - and secondly if taking opioids after Seroquel can also effect him.

You sent me a note, but I guess it's about this post. You don't describe the heart problems you're having. You don't say why you were on antibiotics or how long you were on them. You don't say how long you were on Seroquel or why you were put on it. This is an anxiety forum, but those aren't anti-anxiety drugs, so are you taking other meds for anxiety? I am taking Serquel for anxiety/depression. It is severe anxiety and this is the only reason I take this drug. The anxiety currently outweighs the concerns of the side effects of the Seroquel (and there are many side effects). This drug is a strong atypical anti-psychotic. It is usually used for BP1&2, and Schizophrenia symptoms. I am not a doc but I do not understand why a doc is prescribing this for a sleep aid. Also I have been on this for 1.5 weeks...

seroquel is a great crisis drug for some people but it isn't a good way of life..took it for months and hated the clumsiness it gave me (athlete) how lazy it made me feel..the overly numb feeling..the blood pressure drops..tardive dyskenisia which i get with most of the drugs lesser with anxiety meds than anti psychotics..Some people just don't do well with these powerful drugs and there isn't a lot of sympathy from people who prescribe them..Omega 3 pharmaceutical grade..CBD oil..

Is there anybody out there who tried or is taking Latuda for anxiety or anxiety disorders? If so, what dose are you taking, what side effects do you get, and any other information you wish to share about your treatment with Latuda.

So I tried the trileptal 600mg and that works really well for me is for the same thing as seroquel, for bipolar or mood stabilizer I still take that every day and let me tell you that really helps my with the wds and puts me to sleep I'm down to 1mg and never felt the dropping been on it for 3 months hope that helps.

Clonazepam is classified as an addictive drug and controlled substance. Seroquel isn't. I"m not sure why your doctor wants you to take seroquel -- you don't say why here. This is a drug intended for a limited purpose that was marketed illegally for all kinds of things, mostly for sleep because an unwanted side effect of it is a lot of sedation. You'd probably find quantitatively more problems quitting clonazepam, as it's one of the hardest of brain drugs to stop taking.

I have been dealing with anxiety and for over the last 3 months I dont feel like my self anymore everything seems off and weird nothing seems the same and Ive been put on seroquel 50mg and citalopram 20mg and Its been 4 weeks and have not noticed a differents helllpppppp :(

Hey I just found out that I am pregnant.and I have depression anxiety and panic attacks.atfer first child, .found out that I have depression and a hard time sleeping . So they put me on a medication they put me on Seroquel.I've been on Seroquel for 7 years . Since I found out I'm pregnant they don't want me taking seroquel for depression and anxiety and panic attacks and it help me sleep.

Each drug has its pro and con, for instance although abilify is newer than seroquel but the majority take the last one because the 1st is activating and can cause anxiety contrary to seroquel which is good for anxiety. so they say the combo which suits your BP is the one you choose. obesity nowadays is the current state of affair. people get fat whether they have BP or not, e.g. the weather, junk food, etc... in my view health is the only thing which matters. i.e. search for a diet.
