874521 tn?1424116797 My son has many symtoms of BP but NO manic or euphoria....his mind races constantly and keeps him awake or unable to concentrate during the day. He has problems with drug/alcohol abuse, that he says is the ONLY time he can shut his mind OFF for awhile....I'm confused what is everyones opinion that he has a correct dx???
574118 tn?1305135284 I killed it by seroquel and that was my first use of seroquel. Was this another mania? or depression because in a Canadian booklet sent to me kindly by LeftCoastChick it says stress can trigger manic OR depressive episodes. Also in the section on depression it says sleep disturbance yet i know that sleep disturbance is a sign of mania. could you acknowledge please. I know i should read depression central first which i will. It's only a question which occured to me.

1196338 tn?1265163728 Hello, I am new to this community, I suppose I should tell you a littlebit about myself first.. Well, I am a CP patient who was in a MVA accident a couple of years ago, and have been taking opiates for my pain. I am a little shy to ask this because I don't want to be judged as being an addict or something, but I always thought that you could tell that a narcotic was working based on that warm fuzzy feeling you get..
Avatar f tn i feel amazing i am not like crazy happy but i am content and i am kind of anxious about how bad i will feel once the euphoria is gone
Avatar n tn Like James, I like Seroquel and Lithium. Seroquel was awesome for helping me sleep and I only take a low dose now (200mg). I added Lamictal for a post-manic depression, and it worked okay, not great. But I have been stable for three years being on these three. I haven't been hospitalized and I've been able to work. This summer I added Prozac to help a depression after my dad's death (last year). I haven't had any severe side effects from these.
696149 tn?1314320959 m taking Lamictal and Wellbutrin and the first couple months I had quite a bit of euphoria but the last month or so I've been down.....real down. I've been battling a stupid allergy for about 2 1/2 months or so and that's depressing me too. The Vicodin cravings are hitting me hard the last month too. Part of me feels like....well if I'm gonna feel crappy, it would be nice to feel crappy with the Vicodin....at least I get an artificial high.
Avatar f tn I do have a question. I'm day 5 clean. Yesterday afternoon, i had this sudden wave of euphoria, like when the pills would start to kick in. ( i didnt take any! ) Is this normal??
Avatar f tn But I checked with another study recipient and we both agree that there is a mild sense of well being and euphoria that sets in about an hour after taking PSI 7977 and lasts for varying lengths of time and then begins to change to fatigue. It is like getting gas or a valium before a dental procedure. Has anyone else experienced such sensations on any of the hepatitis medications; experimental or not?
Avatar f tn I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.
Avatar n tn My question is about using a mood stabilizer (Lamictal) with my Opana and hydromorphone, fentanyl and before, oxycontin. I do not get any euphoria from opiate or opiod medications or get much mental effects..and I'm wondering if my mood stabilizer is the reason for this...like it maintains me at an a level mood and this prevents my mood from being elevated similar to how it prevents me from having manic symptoms. Just a fyi, I'm not looking for the euphoria and hyperness etc....
Avatar f tn Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?
Avatar m tn Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?
Avatar m tn I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!
518117 tn?1429276273 I ran across something on the net about Seroquel. It was another forum that I got the info about Seroquel. On this forum someone was talking about there being a tort action lawsuit against the makers of Seroquel. That it is causing excessive weight gain, diabetes, very high blood pressure in people taking this antipsychotic. I am wanting to know further about these complications caused by Seroquel. My 28 year old son has been on this med for approximately 4 years now.
Avatar f tn I just started Seroquel. The first tab last night. I felt so trippy. It scared me and I made myself go to sleep just to avoid the experience I was having. I also heard it causes crazy weight gain. Is that true? Right now I feel nausea.
Avatar n tn Hi my name is Mike and my wife is now currently in the hospital from overdose of seroquel and maybe other medications that she might have.
563541 tn?1257877567 My sub doc gave me Seroquel. He said it was for bi-polar, but he gave it to me at 50mgs. for sleep and it really helped me sleep, just a bite out of one at night. He also said that it would linger or last through the day to help with the anxiety/depression. I don't think that has worked as I'm still a basket case. jk...
Avatar m tn If Seroquel is being prescribed as a sleep aid yes, within a psychiatrist's discretion. If its being used as a mood stabilizer then it would have to be taken every day though the timing could vary. If someone can't tolerate it at all as regards any sedation then other available options could be discussed with a psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn My doctor has recommended Seroquel for my insomnia. Since i am a parkinsons patient, I was wondering if this ,might make my parkinsons worse?
736475 tn?1281259327 the doctor put my husband on seroquel for anxiety. i was on them last year from my psychiatrist for sleep. of course i can't gauge how they worked because i was just adding them to the stew as it were. his are extended release. mine were not. the doctor gave him samples to last 1 month. he seems to be doing well on them, but i know my husband. these are going to be expensive even with insurance.
1168718 tn?1464983535 hi everyone, was just wondering if you guys have had any trouble with Seroquel? I am being put on it for sleep, and I have read up on it, and the side effects are kinda scarey. Does anyone have any input? My Dr. is putting me on a very tiny dose to start, as I reacted to Nortriptyline and have been on nothing for sleep for 3 days now. Can anyone give me some help please??
