Yes I gained a fair amount of weight on Depakoate (another brand name for Epilim) and Seroquel. I do know I had less of a problem with weight gain with Lamictal and that among the current generation of antipsychotics, Abilify, Fanapt and Saphris are the least likely to cause weight gain but each person responds differently to each medication. Ask your psychiatrist about available options.
I'm on 150mg of slow release Seroquel and I googled the interactions but theyre all big names lol. I have a cold and want to make some Neo-Citran (its actually a non-generic brand called Equate Hot Lemon Relief lol) and it has warning on the box not to mix with certain things but again I have no idea!
I would seriously tell ure friend to go to the doctor so he can put him/her on the right dosage and monitor the blood pressure. is ure friend taking anything else with with med? there are alot of drug interactions with this med.
