My 20 year old daughter has been vomiting after eating and has had numerous gastro tests done that all appear to be normal. She's also on depression meds (Cymbalta, Lithium and Seroquel), and I'm wondering if it could be Lithium toxicity (a buildup of lithium in the system) causing the vomiting ... hoping to get her to the doc tomorrow ... blood work might be required to confirm that.
It was good that you took acetaminophen for your headache, hopefully it worked for you and numbed it. I had the dizziness and such from it as soon as I started taking it but that wore off after a few weeks for me. As for the headaches, I get migraines several times a month so I don't know if it's the Geodon or just my naturally occuring ones.
Inability to hold food or meds down due to nausea and vomiting warrants medical attention. Make an appointment with your primary care physician or seek care in an emergency department for diagnosis and treatment.
You can ask for nausea medication through the IV instead of oral route, which may be more effective. You could also ask for a different nausea medication like Phenergan.

My girlfriend is experiencing intense abdominal pains and is both vomiting and urinating blood. She also feels weak and fatigued and when I asked her to grab some water she was afraid she'd fall on the way. She says there's a lot of blood and it's dark in color. She is also sweating a lot and she's going into deep sleep which I can't wake her up when I usually can (I am talking to her on a web camera though).
t gotten it and they said i should come pick up some sort of withdrawl med but husband wants me clean and clear. I came off of Seroquel last week (took for sleep and was not sleeping anymore) as well cold turkey. his point is that if these meds are not working, stop, clean up and revisit. I have lupus and ra at 39. But I have been in bed 8 days unable to function. Vomiting and already lost 10lbs.
No advise of lowering the dosage or anything, which made me feel like I was not treated profesionally. After something like 2 weeks since I completely went off the anti-psychotic, the nausea and vomiting started appearing. I was vomiting anything, from water to one or two complete meals, with no feeling of anxiety, agitation or something like that.
My first pregnancy i did bot use it and my daughter is very smart. I was wondering if any of you have used seroquel and delivered a healthy baby.
t have happenened. Okay now back to Seroquel. If a person goes off Seroquel and they need an antipsychotic, after a while the psychosis will return. If its treating mood stabilization same thing. That's not "addiction". That's the symptoms returning. That would be like saying if you went off insulin, your blood sugar level would get dangerously high. Of ocurse it would because the symptoms of diabetes would return.
The knowledge that I have is that xanax and Seroquel do not have an impact on your liver. Also 50 mgs of Seroqeul is very low dose. I am on 600. However it looks like you have hepatitis c and you probably know you shouldn't drink because of that. There are likely a lot of medications that effect your liver. The only ones I know of are Tylenol and pain medicines that contain acetaminophen, but I am sure there are likely a lot more.
Don't quit the Seroquel abruptly -- taper off it. It's interesting you were put on Seroquel and are suffering insomnia -- the only way Valdoxan supposedly works is by increasing the effectiveness of melatonin, which regulates sleep cycles -- in other words, if it works at all for depression, and the evidence appears to be soft, it's by improving sleep.
I was on seroquel. It was awful. I was mean WHEN i did awake. the doctor put me on 300mg and I had to sleep a full day on it. So they lowered it but then i slept a 1/2 day so then they put it on 50 and I wouldn't sleep and when I slept I was mean as ever. So I no longer take seroquel. its not good for me.
