i have been on haldol which was crippling, got off it, then onto risperdal, geodon, and seroquel. the most tolerable is risperdal however i tend to need something to help me get to sleep very badly. i dont fall asleep easily. thats when my psychiatric nurse moved me on to geodon then seroquel along with risperal. both of these i find not very tolerable at all. with seroquel i will sleep very sound though i might suffer some bad hallucinations getting there. and i will oversleep with it.

(Not due to the medication in any way) As a result, I was prescribed Vicodin and Oxycodone for pain. In the past I had always refused pain medications. I felt tough and manly if I didn't need them, but this wasn't getting your wisdom teeth pulled. I needed to take them. Having very little knowledge of opiate painkillers at the time I began taking them as the doctor prescribed. When I took the first dose I felt amazing. I had alot of trouble with pain (still struggle with it 2 months post tx) and found a combination of Neurontin 1200-1400 mg/day and Oxycodone 15mg/day to be helpful. The Neurontin helps with nerve pain from peripheral neuropathy. If your husband has pain from nerve damage, then this might help. I take two 300mg doses during the day and 600 at night. In combination with the Oxycodone, the night dose makes me very sleepy. I finished my 96 wks of Pegasys at the end of November.

Also in the uad result it shows negative for both and cutoff levels were 100ng/ml for oxycodone and 1ng/ml for fentanyl. In the result explanation it does say that they were not detected but this could be due to individual metabolism or not taking it. The doc also had told me that if I had taking it at all in the last 30 days it would have showed up yet on the results explanation it says detection time approximately 2-3 days* for oxy and 1-3 for fentanyl.
I was referred to the Psychiatrist to sort out my meds, and start weaning me off valium, but instead, she just prescribed Seroquel, now Zoloft, and has kept me on valium. My GP is also prescribing me valium. I assumed, and was told by my Psychiatrist, that she is reporting my progress to my GP, that they both know they are both prescribing valium 2 a day by each, making it 4 a day. I've tried to take less most days, none on other days, and then 6-10 on yet another day.

The make me completely calm and relaxed, and not wozy and out of it like benzos do. I have never tried to obtain them illegal or without reason, but have come to this conclusion on occassions when I have been given them for legitamate pain. Is this much shifting in mood and energy levels normal in the withdrawl phase or could it be something else?? I have also noticed a tingling sensation in my head and my eyes feel funny. Can anyone give advice for the depression and anxiety like natural remedies such as vitamins.

I weaned myself off it, as when I researched it, I saw the horrific side-effects and I wasn't willing to have those a minute longer than necessary, to get off it. She put me on 50mg Zoloft.

I have been using painkillers for the last 3 years. Tried oxys, oxycodone, and vicodin. Wondering if tapering is the best wat for me to get off of them. I have been taking some herbs online to help ease with withdrawals. I've probably gotten myself down from 8 or more pills a day,to 1 a day. Been taking 1 a day for the last 2 days. Is this the best approach? This is my 1st attempt to try and quit. Want 2 say the last. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
