When I was on the 2mg dose, things seemed to be ok. When I went up to 5mg, I had tremendous leg pain and muscle stiffness. When I went down to 2mg again the leg problems went away. Then my doctor decided to switch me to Seroquel. I gradually increased my dosage up to 100 mg. At that point, my leg troubles began again. Unfortunately, they never ended. I got off the Seroquel and the leg pain persisted. It's bad in the morning. My right hamstring is always stiff.
I have been taking Depakote and Seroquel Xr since October 2010 and I actually quite like them LOL after being on so many mood stabilisers and antipsychotics.
In May the Seroquel was increased from 300mg to 400mg as I was becoming very irritable and unable to cope with small amounts of stress without flying into a rage and then being left with lots of tears of guilt about being so nasty.
I had also noticed that my sleep was getting less and less as the Seroquel wasn't making me as drowsy.
since this happened (the pain) since you started seroquel I would get off of it and see if it goes away. I had pain from taking wellbutrin, quit it and I am fine now.
Then after a while you can try another med. It takes a long time to get the right meds. i am afraid to try something new b/c changing meds is a nightmare for me. and my husband. I don't think there will be permanent damage. It might be from another cause.
I was prescribed Lorazepam for anxiety last Dec.-June. (2 mg a day for 4 of 6 mo.) I became addicted & could not taper off it myself so went to a detox center. They gave me phenobarbital since I reacted to the other benzos, plus Seroquel, Vistaril, & Trazadone. The detox was for 10 days and it was almost 3 months ago. I have been experiencing muscle twitching the past few weeks all over my body & some eye blinking.
My son, who is 14, has been experiencing muscle twitching in his arms and legs and on occasion his face. I have contacted his psychiatrist as he is taking Wellbutrin XL and Seroquel. He immediately reduced his Seroquel. That action has only slightly decreased his symptoms. We did discover that this symptom can occur through video game, television, computer use. He has all but halted all three and it is killing him.
At the time the tics and ear/eye pain started I was at 12.5 mg of Seroquel. I had also just started taking 75 mg twice a day of Flecainide a week earlier. I am completely off the Seroquel now for months, and am still taking the Flecainide?
Could my tics be related to the eye/ear pain? All of these attributed to one of these meds? Or do I have Tardive Dyskinesia from the Seroquel? I am worried that this is permanent, and it really scares me.
I have been off the Klonopin since 3/20/2009 and since 3/20 if have been taking Seroquel. I did not experience seizures since I stop Klonopin but after I stop Klonopin and switched to Seroquel there are nights I can't sleep... it's been like when I had a good sleep last night the next night I can't sleep. I am also experiencing muscle jerk and back pain. Do you think these are Klonopin withdrawals?
I switched to Effexor XR about a year ago because Zoloft was not doing enough for my depression. I was and still am taking Wellbutrin XL to combat the sexual side effects. Shortly after I started Effexor my doctor also put me on Seroquel. So I have been on these 3 drugs for the past year. Last month my doctor suggested I up my dosage of Effexor from 150mg to 225 mg.
com interactions checker. Fentanyl and depakote, topamax, and Seroquel are listed as increasing drowsiness, as does depakote + Seroquel. In addition, depakote + topamax can increase the drug levels of both meds, meaning that he's effectively getting a higher dose of both. Seroquel + topamax also has a slight risk of overheating, although that's a rare side effect and more common in children.
I'm guessing the topamax is for migraines.
I still feel the electric shocks and muscle aches from the withdrawal of my previous antidepressant (paroxetine) and I started getting a pounding heartfrom the seroquel. I went to see my gp who reduced my seroquel to seroquel xl 50 mg and I am to go back in a week to her, while I do not see the psychiatrist again for 5 weeks. My palpitations have stopped but the mood swings and depression have returned to just how they were before I reduced the dose. I do not know what to do..
The knowledge that I have is that xanax and Seroquel do not have an impact on your liver. Also 50 mgs of Seroqeul is very low dose. I am on 600. However it looks like you have hepatitis c and you probably know you shouldn't drink because of that. There are likely a lot of medications that effect your liver. The only ones I know of are Tylenol and pain medicines that contain acetaminophen, but I am sure there are likely a lot more.
re going through OPIATE withdrawal then seroquel is your best bet for sleeping, then a muscle relaxer for your muscle aches and spasm. And a benzo for your anxiety. Lots of water because you will swet in your sleep, massive amounts. I am too starting opiate withdrawal, since my back Is messed up and I know how opiates make me way less depressed and more energetic.
I was on seroquel. It was awful. I was mean WHEN i did awake. the doctor put me on 300mg and I had to sleep a full day on it. So they lowered it but then i slept a 1/2 day so then they put it on 50 and I wouldn't sleep and when I slept I was mean as ever. So I no longer take seroquel. its not good for me.
The thing is, i only took 2 doses and right away i got muscle spasms and tics through my entire body. I came off it. Its been one week and the spasms havent stopped. They happen every few seconds in my toes legs, my fingers also completely jerk and move on their own. My fingers are the worst. There are movements in my face eyes and lips too but they are minor compared to my body. I have searched google for hrs and there is so little info. What can i do to prevent it from getting worse asap.
