seroquel

Avatar n tn I have been on Seroquel for quite some time now and I have noticed that my memory has decreased immensely. I was wondering if this is a normal side effect from the Seroquel? Also, if I discontinue using Seroquel, will my memory return to normal?
Avatar m tn I have also seen the effects of to much seroquel.. Affects motor skills speech and memory also has a tendency to build on it's self so make sure you have at least 8 or more hours between doses..
Avatar m tn now the doc wants to put me back on low dose lithium along with a med to protect my kidneys and monitor them closely. i am curently on trileptal and seroquel but still have anxiety and hypomania. i don;t know what to do. has anyone had similar experiences with ect and/or with low dose lithium?
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and have been on Seroquel 200 mg for approx one year. Since being on the med I have experienced extreme forgetfulness. My short term memory is especially affected and it's getting progressively worse. I don't think forgetfulness is listed as a side effect of Seroquel. I was wondering if anyone else on this med has experienced the same.
Avatar f tn I have been on meds for bi-polar and have developed tremors and memory loss (phone #, SS# etc plus other). I have gotten off the meds, been a few days, and am scared that this will be a permanent change. Friends who hadn't seen me in months, came over recently and were shocked and concerned about me, telling me that I seemed like a zombie. My husband's friends are pulling him aside and asking what's wrong. This is NOT the normal me.
Avatar f tn I have like 9 diagnoses... but I identify mostly as a borderline bipolar. I'm on Xanax, seroquel, and topamax. I cut out Xanax but I'm scared to get off my other two. My therapist suggested ECT as a treatment option during pregnancy. I've been in treatment with people receiving this and it scares me. I'm scared I'm going to have a retarded child BC of my meds. Have any of you known anyone on these? Been on these while pregnant? Please help.
Avatar n tn I was taking this medication last August and still have the memory and concentration problems as of now. The problems have not gone away much, I would say only 50% better and it is still bad. I went to an Emory psychiatrist but they have just put me on Seroquel as of yesterday. I have stopped taking that today and while I was on it I felt very numb and could not feel emotions and I was very drowsy.
202665 tn?1248806733 Recently stopped Cymbalta and started takig Seroquel XR (300 mg). I'm nearing the 10 day mark for my body to handle the drug better, but am having some issues that I can't determine if they are side effects of either going off Cymbalta or the Seroquel. Problems I'm having on a dily basis are: . Extremely lathargic - almost to the point of not being able to function. I take the dose at night . Very "achey". My joints and bones just hurt..to the extreme at times. .
Avatar n tn not only does it affect coordination but your thinking memory and everything else.. Really a bad bad combo.. It sounds like the Seroquel is prescribed the booze isn't.. I hope you give up the Alcohol as it will throw a Monkey wrench in everything you try.. Be kind to yourself..

142722 tn?1281533616 t take those because they are not safe, I went off the litmital and he told me to wean myself off the neurtion. He gave me a med seroquel and i hate this med because he knocks me out but it worked for me when I was pregnant last time two years ago. I haven't started yet, I got so many things going on in my life and it is driving me insane. So with so many things going on, I am having a hard time. I am taking the neurtion and trying to get off of it but having a hard time.
Avatar n tn i had a a ct, mri and spinal tap. the hospital took me off prestic, seroquel and lithium and the neurologist put me on lamital for both seizures and depression. also, i am taking invega and ativan for anxiety. the reason for my seizures is because of medicine. i lost my memory, use a cane and bit my tongue badly. caution: beware of anti-depressents--they can lower your seizure threshold. thank god i am getting better.
769333 tn?1235214424 I was evaluated at Memory clinic with low onset alzheimers and short term memory loss. My primary dr first gave me Rozerem which did not help, panic became more intense. Memory clinic dr ordered Exelon patch and 50 mg Seroquel, still did not work. After many sleepless nights and panic .25mg daily of Alprazolam together with 50mg Seroquel helped for a while. Seems whenever there is a change in his daily routines his sleep pattern also changes.
Avatar m tn I've read and read and talked and talked and even personally experimented with my own seroquel dosing. I'm a card carrying bipolar and typical of such folk have tried everything out there in pharm-world alone and in combination. For me, Seroquel is the ticket. I have one problem. A few years ago I made a move to a more healthy lifestyle which includes diet, exercise, yoga, and meditation - all good things. I even went back to work.
Avatar f tn The current formula that I am on is making a big difference and my memory is much improved.
663901 tn?1232649671 Yes when I was on Seroquel I had to get an eye exam each year due to the extremely rare risk of cataracts but I saw an opthamologist anyway so it was no big deal. That is statisically rare and no reason to be concerned about Seroquel and a check up as I suggested is the best form of follow up. Seroquel is safe in this regard. In this case (you know I am always factual) your pharmacist was overstating the risk but a follow up visit is generally a good idea.
Avatar f tn Since seroquel can cause high BG you sure your diabetic and not as a result of seroquel raising your BG? Go to Google and put seroquel into the serch field.
Avatar n tn Hi. I am bipolar and currently taking Lithium, Neurontin, Seroquel & Lamictal. I have only been on the Lamictal for about 7 weeks, starting @ 25mg & every 2 weeks adding another 25mg; thus I am currently @ 100mg per day.
Avatar f tn My first pregnancy i did bot use it and my daughter is very smart. I was wondering if any of you have used seroquel and delivered a healthy baby.
6653958 tn?1395759593 It really depends on the condition you are in and how your illness effects you. I was on Seroquel Xr for 10 months and it fixed me up, but destroyed my personal life completely. Made me entirely robotic, so I decided it just wasn't worth it. Generally a mixture of either lamictal or lithium and another anticonvulsant is required, once you've balanced out, to maintain a healthy balance.
