In the past couple of months, I have noticed an increased libido - and this is causing a problem. My husband is convinced I am a "nympho" (his name, not mine) and that I should see a therapist or go to my doctor and get something to tone myself down, because no right person at my age (45) should want to have sex 2 or 3 times a day ... he says he is normal and only wants it a couple of times a week, but I still have to ask, or we don't even have that. Is something wrong with me?

I have been taking Depakote and Seroquel Xr since October 2010 and I actually quite like them LOL after being on so many mood stabilisers and antipsychotics. In May the Seroquel was increased from 300mg to 400mg as I was becoming very irritable and unable to cope with small amounts of stress without flying into a rage and then being left with lots of tears of guilt about being so nasty. I had also noticed that my sleep was getting less and less as the Seroquel wasn't making me as drowsy.

I am 38 years old and married. I was perfectly normal and having high libido with no problems of erection. I have been using A-Z multivitamin tablets (either centrum or boots) along with one or two fish oil capsules for the last 3 years. I had an ongoing hair fall since my teen ages, which sometimes slowed down, specifically when I was back home in Pakistan. When I was in the UK, the hair fall increased. It's in the family. It never completely stopped.

I had surgery in July and another to recluse the wound in August. My libido has went down since then. Now every time I have an orgasm is causes my nerves to jump in my left foot and start to tingle. Then about 10-15 minutes after the orgasm my foot starts to hurt. Is this normal ?

I used to take regular Seroquel with no sexual side effects. I was recently changed to Seroquel XR and the side effects are so different than regular Seroquel, and one of them is sexual side effects. Anyone else? The other new med I am on is Amitiza, which is for Irritable Bowel Syndrome and didn't have sexual side effects listed. I have been under a lot of new stress lately, but that has never caused this problem in the past.

Told my Dr I was going to stop taking it and she insist I stay on it. She says Im being childish and that I need to take Seroquel at night to sleep, and to take the Zoloft in the mornings. I am sick of taking anymore pills!

No, I think they may be too high because of the recent cystic acne and increased libido that I've been experiencing. An increased libido may sound like a blessing but it's not... I'm on Cipralex 15mg for anxiety and depression and Seroquel 20mg at night for insomnia. I was on seroquel. It was awful. I was mean WHEN i did awake. the doctor put me on 300mg and I had to sleep a full day on it. So they lowered it but then i slept a 1/2 day so then they put it on 50 and I wouldn't sleep and when I slept I was mean as ever. So I no longer take seroquel. its not good for me.

After the addition of seroquel I started having classical music in my head that I could hear when I was hospitalized I asked several people if they heard what I did and they did not. I have been on 100 mg of Seroquel a day for the past 4 weeks and 900 mg of lithium a day for the past 2 weeks and am finding my agitation and irritability greatly increased. My reactions are far more intense than before I started the meds. Has anyone experienced this with Seroquel?
