Avatar f tn Yeah that's no fun. I'm on my third pregnancy and have never had sensitive teeth like this before. I thought something was wrong with me. I've been to the dentist multiple times. I had cavities with my other two. I've been using sensodyne so hopefully that helps. Luckily I only have 2 months left.

Avatar f tn For years, I have suffered from sensitive teeth. The pain from cold objects literally drive me mad. One bad habit that I know is causing the sensitivity is my avid consumption of acidic drinks, which I am trying to give up. I have sought the services of a periodontist, who said that I have the beginning stages of periodontal disease.

Avatar f tn I had pregnancy gingivitus with my first. My gums bleed for no reason and my teeth were so sensitive. It was painful! Thankfully they went back to normal a few months after my little one was born! I went to the dentist to make sure everything was ok and them cleaning my teeth hurt soo bad i was almost in tears (and i have had a baby naturally ) so i dont suggest that. A toothpaste for sensitive teeth helped a bit.

Avatar f tn Since then, two of the teeth have abscessed and I had root canals done. In addition, one of those two teeth made the whole side of my face swell up and I had to go to the ER to get the infection drained. It was very painful. That's all settled down now, but one of the other molars with a new filling has been very sensitive to cool/cold, and more recently hot. It's been sensitive like this for about 3 months, and I've gotten it tested/checked multiple times.
