Common Questions and Answers about Sensitive skin on back

Hi, I have a very sensitive skin on my back, it's a bit uncomfortable to touch, covers all back area. I just had a 3 day cold/flu and it started right after, so I don't know if it's related or not. Is this can be a start of shingles? How long I should wait until I see a doctor and do I go straight to neurologist? What can cause something like that?
just started treatment 5 days ago (it already feels like forever). I have many symptoms, but the latest and greatest is my skin is so sensitive!! I have a rash on my torso, but it's not so much itchy as incredibly sensitive. Trying to dress for work everyday is awful, does anyone have any good tips on managing this?? Is everyone else working through their treatment?
I randomly get pain to the touch on my upper back/shoulder area - hurts to lightly graze with your fingers. Anyone else get this issue? Is this yet another treat due to MS? Sometimes lasts for hours sometimes a day or so. I had sunburn just below it over the weekend and that was quite a treat - arg!
My left foot started hurting about 3 days ago, as if i had pulled a muscle in the arch of my foot, and then yesterday my right thigh started hurting, the skin is sensitive to the touch, whenever my pants brush up against it or i touch or bump into anything it hurts, i dont have any discoloration in my thigh, no swelling, no bruising, no rash, but it hurts. When it first started hurting the area that hurt was about the size of an orange and now it covers most of the front part of my thigh.
I am 28 year old guy. The skin on my penis goes all the way back. and the skin behind the head of my penis is very very soft. When I mastubate or during intercouse (with or without condom )my skin goes back and forth over the head of the penis, I get cuts on this part of the skin. Is there a way to make my skin stronger so that I can have inercourse with freedom?
Hi, just yesterday i developed a sensitive area of skin on my right leg. It came on suddenly and only bother me when the area is touch by hand or clothing. I am thinking it my be from using too much laundry detergent since it came on suddenly a few hours after wearing a pair of slacks i had just washed the day before. and the fact the load of laundry was quite large and maybe all the soap didnt get rinsed off. However there is no redness at all, it doesnt itch.

I noticed a sore spot on my back near the right shoulder blade that is sensitive and tender. There is no external inflamation or discoloroation. The sensation comes and goes, but recently it has gotten much worse and has sinced spread to the right side of my chest, right breast and under my arm. It has been going on for several days and is localized to this area. Any suggestions?
Earlier on today my faince started to get a painful sensitive feeling on her back. There is no redness or rash. Its not swollen nor is there anything visible to the naked eye. She says its sore when something brushes against it or to the touch. It is also sore when left alone (but not as much as when something touches it). Its been about 5 hours since it started hurting. It is located in her lower back. Any ideas what this might be?
It is really itchy and when I itch it and touch another spot, that spot gets itchy but not to the extent of the original rash. I have very sensitive skin and things like scented soap and deodorant make me break out, but this time I'm not sure what's going on.
For about 2 weeks now, I've had 2 spots on my body where the skin is very sensitive to the touch. The best way to describe it, is that I almost feels like a sunburn. There is no rash, no redness, or anything else. The skin looks completely normal. It started in my left armpit, shortly after shaving, so I ignored it at first assuming it was razor burn. The area has spread now and covers the full armpit, and works its way into my arm, and around the back to my shoulder blade.
I have painful sensitive skin on my left leg. It started in a small area and has spread to almost my whole leg. I've had these episodes before and they usually last a few days (have had them on my legs, arms and scalp before). I'm 23 years old, and have 3 children. I also get a lot of headaches and back pain if that matters.
also, get an oil free cleanser and moisturizer that works for your sensitive skin (i'm still on the search for both!) brighter days will come!
After an hour or more in the sun, the exposed area of my skin will feel like it is on fire. The longer the exposure, the more severe the feeling. Longer exposures will leave the exposed areas feeling like someone is holding a match to it. For example, while wearing gloves over my hands and a short sleeved shirt, I spent several hours in the sun. Later in the day, the symptons started to appear on the exposed portion of my arms.
I am 22, female who has asthma as well as allergies(eczema also runs in my family). For the past 2+ months I have suffered from really sensitive skin in the vulva area, at times very stingy, red and just irritated in general. There are no lesions, odd discharges, odors, etc. I went for my annual check up and brought this concern up with my OB/GYN. All pap tests were clear and they did a routine STD check, including yeast cultures as well (which were all negative).
It's very unlikely that you contracted hsv2 from oral sex. Did you perform oral on a man or did a man perform oral you on? You need to follow up on these new symptoms with your provider. these are not herpes related.

I also have sharp pains in my bones and tendons often at the same time. I've had this skin pain on patches on my scalp, back, down my legs and buttocks, and my feet. I've always passed this off as neuralgia or perhaps the aches and pains of herpes-I was diagnosed around the same time all these things started happening. It's genital herpes and I had 23 outbreaks last year so it was quite bad. I mention this in case it's related.
A couple of days after that the skin on the right side of my penis shaft just under the ridge of the head of my penis got red. I am circumcised it doesn't really itch or burn or anything like that. There are no blisters or bumps, or discharge or anything like that. After I masturbate it gets more red then when I haven't masturbated for a couple of days. The head of my penis is sometimes sensitive, not to sensitive that I can't stand it but just a little sensitive.
I had a severe version of ocd that's slowly getting better after hospitalization and correct medication. I used hand sanitizers and I think permanently damaged my skin on my hands 3 years ago. My skin cracks very easily and uncontrollable during cold months. I used Lubriderm and Eucerin and they help sometimes but I still manage to get the breaks in my skin.
Dear Sir, I am diabatic, I do take regular medicine for it. The skin on my penus is not circumsized and it is at many times difficult to move the skin back unless it is fully lubricated. On times while performing sex with my girl friend, I felt a pain in doing so at some times. On some occassions i felt a burning at the tip of the penus skin and the forskin intends to get rashes and get swollen and I get cuts at the foreskin.
one pimple like skin thing that's been around for almost 20 years, near where her underwear would rub the skin, one on her upper arm (where short sleeve may have rubbed against it(?), one on lower back that she's had for 10 yrs or so and a few on her legs that she's had for 5 or so years. They are pink and turn skin colored when pressed (like a pimple would, not like a 'pigmented' mole or freckle). She seems to have gotten them all during periods of hormonal fluctuation, ie.
My mom told me I may have to stop getting perms because the acid used in the products even for sensitive skin could be causing the problem. If so I'm sure it takes a while to heal. The time before the last that I had a perm, after my perm started falling out I switched back to generic pert just to save money on hair products. I think that was a bad idea now because my hair was used to the $8 shampoo and $8 conditioner for perms.
I have had some mild nausea lower back cramps and sensitive nipples and was just wondering if this happened to anyone else...
