Avatar f tn It showed lesions on my brain in the parahippocampal and right temporal horn region. I was put on seizure medication and I still am not convinced that I have seizures. Medicine doesn't really help. Recently I have been uncoordinated. I get dizzy then my limbs and head feel very heavy. I get very weak. Always feels like my head is floating yet heavy. Spots in my left eye and sometimes my right but eye exam ok.

Avatar f tn It still sounds like some type of seizure disorder to me. Look at the evidence. Sometimes every neurologist disagree with each others diagnoses. This in tern is not good for you and your situation. I am a 54 yr old male and I was diagnosed by a common doctor of having Generalized Anxiety Disorder way back in 1975 so, they put me on Anxiety medications but, the seizures still came along just the same.
Avatar f tn It sounds like your having symptoms of the endo.. as far as the seizure like symptoms that I would bring this with the GYN first. I personally have never heard of symptoms like that relating to endo.. The GYN may ( and should be able to) refer you to neurology.
Avatar n tn i know the jerky movements are from withdrawl i always saw them when he was using but these are like full body would almost think seizure like movements---scares me and him. i personally think it is just the chemicals in his brain getting back to normal but am not positive. he was taking i'd say 300mg of oxycontin daily snorting them. thanks for the help.

Avatar n tn My 9 yr old was diagnosed with seizure disorder last week after stress EEG showed multiple abnormal firings in left parietal lobe. MD states that it is most definitely seizure activity/disorder. His symptoms are so vague, though, that we often don't know when he is having a seizure, or what to do. We only seem to know for sure that he had a seizure after the fact, because he sleeps 3-7 hours.

737131 tn?1236968031 Once you have your first seizure you can be more prone to have one again. All of your other symptoms are probably withdrawal symptoms. Even though you weaned down, most people still go through some withdrawal, but hopefully to a lesser extent. After you address the seizures you may want to stop taking the pain medication cold turkey and suffer the withdrawal symptoms for a week or so and then you will start to feel those symptoms much less.
Avatar n tn Here are my symptoms: I suddenly get freezing cold from the inside moving outward. It is very painful. This often signals the onset of disorientation in which I lose periods of time from a few seconds to a prolonged period where my productivity does not equal the time that has elapsed. There is often an intense headache that feels as if I have a small Lincoln log wedged behind my left eye. My vision is very inconsistent throughout the day.
Avatar f tn It was not until the last two years that I start having these seizures again, but this time these seizures are easily controlled. There is one type of seizure though that really shocks my parents and I is when I have one, I will feel that I need to barf. However, nothing comes out and also there is no pain afterward. What is this about? Also, I want to know what I should do to having fewer seizures because each day I have one.
Avatar n tn If I taper slowly off of tramadol, can I avoid withdrawal symptoms all together? Or will I feel withdrawal pains no matter what?
2010625 tn?1329372056 During these episodes I have been having very strange symptoms. Including heightened senses, sensitive sensory perception, migraines, pain, my brain getting stuck on logic with little to no emotion, or the opposite pure emotion with little or no ability to form or speak logical thought.
Avatar n tn I do think it is close enough though, they do too or they would not wait. In the meanwhile any change in symptoms or seizure activity and both of you should review s-s of seizures and brain tuor possible syptoms so that you know what to watch for should be reported immediately!! Especially a grand mal seizure which would deem a medical emergency in his case for sure and a 911 call. I know I am sooo reassurring huh?
1902639 tn?1351540515 For the past week and a half I have experienced bilateral leg tightness in the hamstrings and calves, and now my legs feel weaker than they did a few days ago but not as tight. I had similar symptoms this past spring when I had a relapse. My question is, do you experience the same symptoms most times when you have a relapse? Thanks for your advice...this is still pretty new to me.

Avatar n tn If someone has a supra orbital tumor (lets say an intraosseous meningioma for arguement sake) ... of about 3 or 4 centimeters - Aside from headache of visual changes, what symptoms are likely from a tumor in this location? Assuming there is some mild to moderate shunting upward of the brain due to the supra orbital mass? What sort of changes in the person would you see? And if there were seizures, from this pre frontal cortex area, what type of seizure activity would be most likely?

Avatar m tn My husband has been having strange symptoms for the past 4-5 years. He has never had any of them checked because everyone tells him he's crazy when it comes up. He's 20, and 6'3, and weighs 200lbs. He's in great shape, and he works out regularly. He eats a very healthy diet. When he starts showing symptoms, I guess I'll call it having an "episode", they can last between a day or two and three weeks. The first thing is his mood swings.
Avatar f tn I assumed these were maybe due to stress or the birth control pill I was on for my Endometriosis, but they were strange and concerning symptoms. A week or two after first noticing these symptoms, I had what sounds to my neurologist like, a tonic clinic seizure. I would go on to have three of these in the next four-five months, none of which were witnessed. Two were just after waking up and one was in a Kroger bathroom floor.... Yuck. Ha!
Avatar f tn Just to name a few, but it presents like a seizure. However, all EEGs performed have been normal. I was started on seizure meds because of the presentation of symptoms. Is it possible to have residual affects? Can your liver function tests be in a normal range and you still experience these symptoms? I have also been diagnosed with systemic lupus, and I have started having migraines.
