Generally speaking, there should be at least a full year without seizure activity before you get behind a wheel. I would say there is zero chance of any physician clearing you to drive before that time. I could be wrong. There are some doctors who got their degrees with boxtops. A "second opinion" is meaningless. You got a raw deal, but the danger to others of you being behind a wheel is significant. The good news is, there is a good chance you will never again have a seizure.

They have a cople of site that have mp3 files of aa and na speakers and they are pretty good to listen to and it is free to download. If you don't have an mp3 player you can listen off of the computer, but today so many electronic have the mp3 players on them it is a small chance you don't have one.I actually did that I was listening to some files to remember some of my mother language.

You choose music that they have some type of exact beats and they put it on a MP3 player. There are measurements on a GaitRite system that they check every visit. (I am not sure what this is exactly.) I have never been involved in anything like this. What do you all think? Stress can indirectly also affect patients with seizure. It causes an increase in cortisol levels which influences seizure activity. Have you been investigated for your seizures? What medicines have you been taking? If you have been taking antiepileptic regularly then seizures should be controlled. you definitely CAN NOT stop xanax at 2mgs, the risk of seizure is great. you need to continue to taper down to 0mgs. many times the physical withdrawals for xanax dont start until many days later because of the long half-life and the time it takes to metabolize. it is still in your system now. when tapering down your anxiety will intensify that is part of the w/d process. it is best to have a doctor give you a taper schedule. tapering too quickly is dangerous.

My husband is a type 2 diabetic and is 70 years old. There are different types of epilepsy with different characteristics like grand mal epilepsy you have tonic clonic generalized muscle contractions, frothing, unconsciousness, twitches, metal confusion, some may lose bladder and bowel control, usually preceded by an aura of impending seizure. aura is a strange feeling of muscle stiffening, hearing weird sounds, smelling strange smells etc. absence seizure manifest as brief staring spells where the person is cut off from the surroundings.
