If some of these mosques were built in the America, didn’t anyone contact the ACLU? (I would pay real money to be in “the room” during that discussion.) What particular piece of Congressional legislation authorized US taxpayer dollars to be spent on these mosques and Islamic institutes?
Avatar m tn BD strikes again. Yes the radical ones that teach radical islam are to blame. Just as any church that teaches to kill people is to blame and should be closed.
1301089 tn?1290666571 ignored the historical record showing that thousands of mosques have been built over the cherished sites of conquered peoples (notably the Dome of the Rock on the site of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem); and also ignored the clear evidence of the mosque backers' duplicity and refusal to condemn the jihad terrorist group Hamas. "Obama must know," said Geller, "that this is not about religious liberty.

For my part in a student demonstration opposing the regime, I was later arrested and tortured. In 1988, I fled Sudan for this country. A year later, a military coup in Khartoum brought the most extremist, pro-Iranian forces to power.
Avatar f tn Note there is a difference between the cause of a seizure and a trigger. Seizures can be caused by head injury (at any time in your life), diabetes side effects, a high fever as a child or a virus/bacterium like meningitis. Triggers are things like alcohol drinks, flashing lights (like driving a car through shade/shadow or watching window blinds flickering the light from a breeze, or for some people anything raising the adrenaline level. In women, PMS is usually a trigger.
Avatar f tn My husband is a type 2 diabetic and is 70 years old. Out of the blue a few months ago he had an episode in the night that I didn't witness but the symptoms were that of a seizure according to the Doctor who saw him in the hospital (he had a fall at the time and had superficial facial wounds) The doctor put him on dilantin and they did an EEG. Then he was taken off the dilantin because the EEG didn't show anythin g.
Avatar f tn There are different types of epilepsy with different characteristics like grand mal epilepsy you have tonic clonic generalized muscle contractions, frothing, unconsciousness, twitches, metal confusion, some may lose bladder and bowel control, usually preceded by an aura of impending seizure. aura is a strange feeling of muscle stiffening, hearing weird sounds, smelling strange smells etc. absence seizure manifest as brief staring spells where the person is cut off from the surroundings.
Avatar n tn The temporary lack of oxygen to your brain can cause some seizure activity. That may explain your symptoms after the event. There are other possible explanations, so you should.share this info with your primary care doctor. My explantion is not a diagnosis. Best of luck to you. Good luck.
Avatar n tn many things can happen depending on duration of seizure - if they are still drinking - stop if they have stopped it could be a withdrawal seizure which usually occurs shortly after stopping ( few days - few weeks )
Avatar f tn Hi- I'm sorry you guys. I really can't give you an exact amount or length of time to pass the seizure risk. It's anywhere from five to fourteen days; everyone is different. There's not a lot of difference based on amounts that you've taken. You still run the risk of seizure. I have to urge both of you to contact a medical professional about this.
Avatar n tn The thing is, i have been put on almost all of known anit seizure medications, none seem tobe as effective as it should be, i beleive at one time i was close to depression while on depakot, then i met a specialist who then put me on Zonegran, it worked for a couple years or so, then i moved to Las Vegas back in 03, it started again inspite the drugs, perhaps a combonation of stress, and lack of sleep could be the cause of it all?
Avatar f tn I am 4 months post surgery, and my experiance is a 27 year old with uncontrolled right temporal lobe epilepsy for 14 years having been on every combination of meds out there, I still continued on my days with complex partial seizures even on 4500mg of meds per day, so that is why I was put through complex testing to localize where the epilepsy was coming from, they focalized it and resected it out, and Ive been now 4mnths with 1 seizure and many auras, all of which have gone!
Avatar f tn I am sorry, but most antibiotics can cause seizures as complications and some like erythromycin and related antibiotics affect the efficacy of seizure medications. But if you need to take antibiotic, augmentin should be ok, but please take a multivitamin B with it. There is no antibiotic (in my knowledge) which can be considered 100% safe, but like I said earlier, the incidence of seizures with augmentin is pretty low. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn or at least it is not a known side effect of hydrocodone...everyone is different...trams are known for this as they lower the seizure threshold....20-30 hydros is not helping u get off narctoics tho as u are replacing one addiction for another...it would be good to start tapering off the hydros asap...
Avatar m tn It does still fit the description of a seizure. Not all seizures involve paddling, slobbering and loss of bladder control. Those are basically what are considered to be grand mal seizures. Petite mal seizures can be anything from a twitching of the head to a state of catatonia for a brief time, which sounds more or less like what your girl had. Please let us know what the vet says when you do get to take her in. Good luck to you!

Avatar f tn It is important to accurately describe the seizure, timing of the day the seizure occurred and also in what setting. Then the question arises if the seizure should be treated – this is answered by looking at the risk and benefits of having a recurrent seizure and the side effects of the antiepileptics. Ultimately, the workup will need to identify the cause of the seizure. Is it from an intracranial lesion, an epileptic syndrome, stress, etc? You will need to have neuroimaging performed (i.e,.
Avatar f tn There are many times of seizure, and not all of them involve losing consciousness. Did you bite your tongue or wet yourself (I realise this would be hard to tell since you were in the shower)? If so, this is strongly associated with epilepsy. My advice would be to speak to your doctor, get your blood pressure checked and he or she might arrange an EEG (a trace which monitors the electrical activity of the brain) to see if there are any abnormalities. Hope this helped.
Avatar f tn It is caused by a temporary abnormal electrical activity of a group of brain cells. The medical syndrome of recurrent, unprovoked seizures is termed epilepsy, but some seizures may occur in people who do not have epilepsy”. Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seizure What are the symptoms? Have any of you seen the seizures while it is happening?
401370 tn?1233324682 He described having one seizure in jail as a result of his w/d. Status epilepticus is a disorder in and of itself and is very serious. People who do not have seizure disorders (there are many kinds, including absence seizures that are nothing like what's described in status ep.
