Avatar f tn The Razor's Edge (1946) with Tyrone Power and Gene Tierney. It had an impact in that it reaffirmed certain things about life that I've always believed in. I don't want to give away the plot... so, I'll only divulge that it's about a young man's spiritual journey and the choices... and sacrifices he makes to pursue that quest. Another movie that's had an impact on me is, The Nun's Story (1958) with Audrey Hepburn.

Avatar f tn The past couple days every once in a while I'll feel these really weird movements from my baby, it's like he's kicking and punching insanely fast in a bunch of different places, and I know it is not possible for him to be moving that quickly at once. I still feel him move regularly throughout the day like normal, but these fast instances are worrying me. I almost feel like he could be having a seizure because it's so fast, is that possible.?

Seizures can be caused by head injury (at any time in your life), diabetes side effects, a high fever as a child or a virus/bacterium like meningitis. Triggers are things like alcohol drinks, flashing lights (like driving a car through shade/shadow or watching window blinds flickering the light from a breeze, or for some people anything raising the adrenaline level. In women, PMS is usually a trigger.

Avatar n tn When you cough real hard, the intrathoracic pressure may increase enough to compress the great vessels which results in less blood being returned to the heart. Nothing in, nothing out. The amount of blood pumped out of the heart (which sends oxygen rich blood to the head) can briefly drop. A brief loss of consciousness may occur. It quickly returns as your chest relaxes, intrathoracic drops and blood can again circulate to major organs.

As money is tight because of Christmas, we had no money to take him to the vet until today. He has been lethargic ever since Saturday morning, will only eat beef and rice that I make him and not much of it, he's drinking some water and using the bathroom outside like normal, but all he wants to do all day is sleep. It's very sad. Sooo not himself!
Avatar f tn It is abundantly clear that in some cases concussions may result in seizures. That is not a "theory". It is a medical fact. It doesn't require "discussion". But not all concussions result in a seizure. There can be varying degrees of damage depending on the severity off the blow, where the impact takes place, and from resultant swelling, and if there is a delay in seeking medical attention. A "concussion" is not a "concussion".
