Avatar f tn Hi there. This may just be a normal mannerism of your child, or this may be something else such as some form of seizure called 'absence' (pronounced as absanz) seizure, or petit mal. This is similar to some accounts of parents or school teachers observing some students to be 'daydreaming' well in fact the student is already having a fit.
Avatar f tn Waiting for abcess to heal. Colorectal surgeon states I must have slow-bowel transit and I will need removal of my entire large intestine. Please let me know if that seems appropriate and what if any complications I could encounter and at what odds could they happen. Surgeon states she would not be able to reverse ileostomy with probable slow-transit bowel due to possible constipation and then leakage and complication. So that is why large intestine needs removal.
362971 tn?1201987034 I had to spend $600 out of pocket but once I did it was so totally worth it - I went to the top doc Dr. Ira Jacobson and he helped work with my GI to oversee my regular treatment. it was worth every single penny of the money (and I"m a broke to death single momd). He is wonderful and very willing to call and help work with the regular GI to get things straight.
Avatar f tn Thank you Dazon for posting this. We all need to keep up with the opinions of the highest court in the land. Great post I'm under the impression that the IRA has a lot of support here in the US. I have not researched it and stand to be corrected. And the IRA has never attacked the US or any of our interests. I doubt anything will be done about donations to the IRA. Humanitarian groups will scream about this.

Avatar f tn When I began to have the grand mal seizures in the daytime my neurologist stopped me from driving. I have not had another seizure that I know of since I stopped working in 2003. Don't know if this helps, but hopefully he can find some type of insurance that will cover this ailment. It is serious and needs to be taken care of. I really do understand lack of funds though.

Avatar f tn Note there is a difference between the cause of a seizure and a trigger. Seizures can be caused by head injury (at any time in your life), diabetes side effects, a high fever as a child or a virus/bacterium like meningitis. Triggers are things like alcohol drinks, flashing lights (like driving a car through shade/shadow or watching window blinds flickering the light from a breeze, or for some people anything raising the adrenaline level. In women, PMS is usually a trigger.
