That sounds pretty scary! I've never had a seizure, but I've had similar symptoms, including the numbness and twitching.
I was diagnosed with MS at the age of 27 due to a number of seizures I just started spontaneously having. I am now 32 and so far that was my only symptom. They had me on so many different seizure meds and anxiety meds in case of multiple attacks. I decided to cut out wheat and gluten, and I'm not kidding when I say, my seizures stopped INSTANTLY, I even stopped taking my meds. Not one in over a year.
I smoked it again then I felt like I was having a seizure not as bad as the seizure I had with the K2 but my whole left side of my body went numb and I had a burning smell in my nose. I felt confused. Since then I have not smoked ANYTHING at all. And all this was about a month ago. About two weeks ago I had a 3 day EEG and an MRI done and both came back NORMAL amazingly. But since I smoked the Marijuana last month I have had a numb feeling all over my left side of my body.
I would get to a doctor as soon as possible. My husband was in the hospital recovering from coiling of 1 aneurysm and he had a grand mal seizure. What he said just before the seizure was "Oh my back". I don't know if this is a coincidence or not but please have it checked out. After all you have been through it's just not worth it to take any risks.
s have improved the numbness somewhat, but I have had terrible side affects, worse then the numbness. I have never had a gran-mal seizure that I know of however, I have passed out and fallen many times at concerts, carnivals and clubs with lots of lights. When that happens, are those generalized seizures? I also am told by my husband that at night I shake in a high speed vibration, but not violently. When he touches me I respond, but I dont' remember these happening.
It is pretty much impossible to treat numbness from MS. The meds for paresthesias do not work. In a positive paresthesia, the nerve functions, it just does it badly or too much. You could say it spazzes, and the most effective meds for symptomatic and disturbing paresthesias are usually in the category of "atypical anti-epileptics." This are meds like carbamazepine, gabapentin, and Lyrica.
ve experienced pain in back legs and feet. Numbness in feet and hands. Also stroke like episode. Follow by seizure like episode with very slurred speech during day. But I can talk after 9 on also can sing clear.
I currently take Trileptal for Partial Seizures (my seizures are well controlled with it) but whenever I miss 2 doses in a row (which I obviously try not to), I experience numbness and tingling in my face and head. I know these are symptoms of MS and I know Trileptal can be used for MS patients to help with nerve issues. I guess my question is should I see my neurologist? Is it possible that this face numbness/tingling sensations are symptoms of MS? FYI I am a 33 yr old female.
The first symptom I had was a numbness in the left side of my lip and also a numbness around my eyes. It felt like i was having an allergic reaction but I was not. Then, the left side of my lip started to twitch involuntarily. This twitching progressed to violent jerking and soon the whole left side of my jaw was jerking very rapidly. The second symptom was the same sensation in my left arm: numbness, which led to twitching, and then rapid jerking and shaking.
Some times I am able to open my eyes but other times not. Is any one else aware during their seizure activities? I sometimes feel that the doctors think I am making all of this up because they said if it were really a seizure I would be unconscious. Just looking to see if this is unique to me or if anyone else experiences awareness during seizure?

i am 21yrs old and i have been having epilepsy for the past 7years now. i went through diff meds and taking depakine chrono 1000mg (prescribed by my doctor in france). my pilepsy has been on and off with some periods where my seizures have been more frequent than others. i have been seizure free for at least 7months now.

my daughter received a head injury in the service, started out with headaches then numbness on left side, hand arm leg, decided she had keyari injury and they operated, well numbness went away everything fine for a couple of months went back to work as life flight nurse, then the headaches started back and she received botox injections for a couple of months and they seemed to keep them at bay, now they are back with a vengence and she has been in the hospital, both civilian and va for te past t

During seizure, face starts twitching then sometimes my right thumb, my eyes are forced shut and my head starts turning all the way to the right, numbness in right arm and leg and two of my worst siezures lasted for more than 5 min and right side almost paralized. During my siezures I am aware of what is going on but cannot speak.I am very off balance, walk like I'm drunk.
I had two cat scans, three emerg trips. one doc thinks increased intercranial pressure.
is topamax used to treat a back injury? everything that I reads say migraines, seizures, well I don't have seizures or migraines. I have a bad knee and I have a bad back. I started Topamax and it makes me feel so bad. The pain is worse than before? is this normal? my feet hand and vision are all affectative. my partner was taken into hospital last night with severe chest pain and numbness down left arm, he had taken cocaine. He's being kept in tonight again. How serious is it?
s auotimmune or not, are there any other symptoms like pain, swelling in joints, frequent infections?! I have a seizure disorder where I get really cold, sweat profusely, think I'm going to die, shaking in limbs, etc. Docs always told me it was an anxiety attack but come to find out I was having simple partial siezures with aura. I remain conscious, have the seizure and then fall asleep. Completely wipes me out and most of them occurred in the evening or with lights/sound triggers.
if an EEG is done during the episode and does not show seizure, then seizure is likely excluded. However, again, it would depend on the exact description of your symptoms as to whether or not this is possibly a seizure. however, this is something I suggest you discuss further with your neurologist.
The other thing that can cause intermittent arm numbness is radiculopathy: The spinal cord is encased by bones called vertebra.
My wife has the following since a car wreck, severe neck pain, numbness in both hands, headache, metal taste in mouth, some Aphasia, Flat effect, and partial paralysis, can feel touch but loses the ability to move hands and feet at times. We have been diagnosed with some partial seizure activity i.e. electrical system in brain not working, had 4 MRI of Brain, CT, C-Spine of Neck ( 3 bulging disc), Echo w/wout bubbles, halter etc.
