Avatar m tn Thanks for your service, vets! Now try finding a job (CNN) -- Suddenly, Patrick Caruso's days as a Marine were done. Like many young men and women who've served their country, Caruso's first weeks back in the civilian world felt "kind of like a shell shock." The familiar structure of military life was gone, and it was time to adapt to a very different mission: finding a job.

Avatar f tn I am seeking help (with others also posting) to get a new forum for PTSD: you can leave post on: medhelp suggestion community in search medhelp or any forum that might include PTSD.
Avatar f tn As much as I wish I could give you the answer you're seeking, you really need to address this with your doctor, especially in light of the MS. We are not doctors on this side of the forum and you need real medical advice as opposed to mere "opinions," which is all we can offer you here. I do know there are far more natural ways to get serotonin and that is something you can discuss with your docs.

5332620 tn?1390319858 I have a background in Clinical Research so I enjoy doing research and in this case it has proven quite interesting. First of all, according to the FDA, "Only one vaccine — one that prevents measles, mumps and rubella — is FDA-approved for administration with a jet injector" and "it has no data to support the safety of most vaccines delivered by jet injectors" and recommended that flu vaccines be given with a syringe.
Avatar m tn CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Thousands of veterans were at first shocked to learn they should get blood tests for HIV and hepatitis because three hospitals might have treated them with unsterile equipment. Now, just a couple of months after the Department of Veterans Affairs issued the dire warnings, veterans are growing frustrated by the lack of information from the tightlipped federal agency.
710218 tn?1230645978 I read through a lot of the posts from time to time and find the advise is very consistent, yet sometimes abrupt, but reasonably so. The veterans here have their own issues to deal with, so thanks for taking the time out of your lives to help others. Anyway, just seeking a little courage going into tomorrow, that's it. Thank you!
163305 tn?1333668571 The article in the February issue of the Journal of Hepatology reported that less than 12% of American military veterans identified with HCV were treated with antiviral therapy [1]. Dr. Kenneth Kizer, Under Secretary for Health in the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), gave HCV a high priority but unfortunately he left the VA in 1999.
1530342 tn?1405016490 Rick Perry offered the broad outlines of his foreign policy philosophy at an annual gathering of veterans Monday, telling attendees that he opposes "military adventurism" while also advocating for "taking the fight to the enemy" and decrying indecision by "multi-lateral debating societies" at times of international crisis. "We must renew our commitment to taking the fight to the enemy wherever they are, before they strike at home.
Avatar m tn Did you ever go to a dentist, get a shot from a doctor, have you had surgery, could you have been born with it, or come in contact with anyone’s blood? As you can see, it would be impossible to prove.
1649704 tn?1402778437 He had been keeping his eye on me all the while...We pulled up at the fire scene. I was sick with fear but, surging with adrenalin. The house was fully involved. I was assigned to a 1 1/2" attack line. My partner and I went in the front door, crawling. It was so hot. I couldn't see anything but thick, black smoke and an orange glow. We opened our line and I felt the strong kick of power from the pressure in the hose. We began a rotating fog pattern of water...I was a Firefighter!
Avatar f tn how in the world do you have access to a computer if your homeless! It would be wise to go to a woman's shelter for the safety for your child. Do you have the other 2 children with you? It's fixing to be cold up there you need to go to a shelter and stop having babies that you have no way of taking care of! Sorry but don't mean to be rude but the truth hurts.

Avatar n tn None of the usual additional risks associated with oral sex (bleeding, sores, previous stds) were to my knowledge present (at least they were not obvious). The condoms were high quality and used correctly from the beginning. They did not break. Following this, I wanted to ask for your opinion on whether I should consider my self at risk. The existing information (especially on government related sites) is quite confusing and not very clear to me.
148588 tn?1465778809 s record on veterans issues. In the television ad, Concerned Veterans for America stated that Rep. Gallego "did nothing to fix" the problems in the Office of Veterans Affairs; a claim that is easily proven false. Now, after receiving a formal complaint from the Gallego campaign, WOAI, the San Antonio NBC affiliate has agreed to take the ad off the air. Rep. Gallego celebrated the decision by saying: "False ads like this are why people hate politics.
Avatar n tn The basic issue is safety. Taking any of those drugs interferes with situational awareness, and the employee could be a hazard if driving, flying an aircraft, or operating machinery. If the job is tool-room clerk, data entry, serving hamburgers or an administrative position there is no safety issue, however productivity may be somewhat impaired.
