It looks like seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrhoeic Dermatitis is believed to be an inflammatory reaction related to the proliferation of normal skin habitant Malassezia – a yeast, which produces toxic substances that infect and irate the skin. The disease is neither contagious nor related with diet but it may be aggravated by other illness like Psychological stress, immune compromised patients, neurological diseases like Parkinsonism and stroke.
If it's the outer third of the eyebrow, you should get your thyroid checked. If you have flaking and scaling, like you have dandruff in your eyebrows, then it's probably something fungal. If it's not super red and inflamed, you could try applying some hydrocortisone cream to it. If it helps, it probably is some sort of organism causing irritation and the hair loss, and something like ketoconazole cream or even lotramin would be the thing to do.
Hello, I'm a 21 year old male who was recently diagnosed with Seborrheic dermatitis.
I began seeing red dots around my nose leading up to my eyebrows. At first i thought nothing of it, i thought it may be a reaction to ProActive which i was using at the time. I immediately stopped using the ProActive, and began applying light Burn/Skin Irritation cream. The problem seemed to persist. I started using aloa and some loations thinking it may simply be, my skin is dry.

Hi, probably it is because of seborrheic dermatitis, you might be having acne problem. In some people, a yeast (fungus) called malassezia grows in the sebum along with bacteria. Antifungal treatments, such as ketoconazole (Nizoral), are often effective.

There's no treatment that's guaranteed to stop seborrheic dermatitis forever, but treatments can control its signs and symptoms. In case of recurrent seborrheic dermatitis, topical and oral antifungals, immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are useful. In addition some lifestyle measures like using antidandruff shampoos daily, avoiding harsh soaps and detergents, wearing cotton clothes and covering the itchy area with a dressing to prevent itching may also help.

Did any of u ladies ever use ketokonazole 2% cream during pregnancy? I have seborrheic dermatitis and I'm afraid to use the cream, which I really need!! Was anyone else in a similar situation? What did u do?
I went to the doctor about my seborrheic dermatitis that I have in my nasal folds and inner eyebrows. I was told to use prescription ketoconazole shampoo in those areas. Despite using this for a couple weeks now no improvement in my symptoms. Every time I take a shower cold or warm those areas become infested with flakes/peeling-like skin once my skin dries from the water. Even on the off days when I don't use ketoconazole it will do that.

Without examination, I cannot confirm a diagnosis but xolegel which is ketoconazole and is very effective for seborrheic dermatitis should be used for two weeks and should be continued only if your doctor recommends because he has examined the condition. If the symptoms persist then the treatment may be prolonged and additional drugs like steroids, Oral antifungal drugs and immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus may be added.
