Ketoconozole shampoo should help hair. I used a brand called Nizoral for years and it was the first thing I used that helped. You could also add some drops of tea tree oil to a regular shampoo. I can't use conditioner of any kind because it annoys my scalp. I get relief by soaking my scalp in a solution of warm water and Epsom salts though. If that is helpful you could take magnesium supplements like mag citrate and vitamin D3.
I have extremely dry scalp all over that flakes and itches so bad. I've tried Head 'n' Shoulders, Selsen Blue, Green Tea Tree Oil...everything...when I initially wash my hair it works. But by that evening or the next morning it's back. When I try to use conditioners to help, my hair gets so oily I can't stand it. I don't blow dry my hair anymore because it makes it worse faster. I'm just at a loss of what to else to do to make it go away!!
ve been bagging my clothing, changing clothes multiple times per day and vacuuming and doing laundry daily and self-treating with a series of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications and supplies such as tea tree oil and coconut oil (applied to the skin) and bathing nightly in borax/epsom salts water (5x/week) and dilute bleach (2 x/week).
I wouldn't use tea tree oil on your face and neck like this. It can be really irritating.

Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky,dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. People with seborrheic dermatitis produce too much sebum (the natural skin oil). Later, pityrosporum yeast grows excessively in the sebum, sometime along with bacteria, making the dermatitis more persistent.

I also went to a Natural Grocer Store and bought Aftrican Black Soap which is extremely gentle on the skin and did not irritate the rash and Organic cold pressed Coconut oil and mixed Tea Tree Oil in it. (I used about 2 TBS of coconut oil with 3-5 drops of Tea Tree Oil) I washed my face morning and night and then applied the blend of Coconut oil and Tea Tree oil to my face before bedtime.
I have tried mixing baking soda with my face wash and using tea tree oil as a toner. They both seem to somewhat help, but my acne still looks very bad. I can only do baking soda once a week or every few days since it is so harsh, so I have been using tea tree oil on the off days. I am not sure if I am using too many products on my skin, but today it was flaking off like dandruff. I had very clear skin before the rash, and now it looks like I have severe acne.

I have a bad case of seborrheic dermatitis in my eyebrows. I tried Desonide, which helped, but when I switched to Elidel, it wasn't successful in controlling my seb derm. And my derm told me to switch back to desonide.
~10 days, twice daily desonide
~2-3 weeks twice daily Elidel
~10 days twice daily desonide+salycylic acid, 6%
~a few days Elidel

He prescribed clindamycin gel and to also shampoo with T-gel or tee tree oil. On July 5th the folliculitis got worse and I developed these bumps in the area of the folliculitis along with pain and intense itching. I was using tea tree oil at that time but wasn't using the antibiotic yet. The folliculitis was spreading. I began using the clindamycin on July 9th and the T-Gel on July 18th. The folliculitis began to settle down and improve.
I was told by my dermo that I had Seborrheic dermatitis. It was dry itchy and scaly under my beard, in the nose folds, ears and eyebrows. I was given desonate gel to use for 2 weeks and things calmed down. However now I just have a redness itchy forehead. I put moisture cream o it and it doesnt really help. Is this still donsidered Seborrheic dermatitis? And would the desonate gel still be the right rx to use?
hi 28 year old male i have Seborrheic Dermatitis however lupus has not bean ruled out i have negative ana test but have had lots of systoms anyway just wanted to know does Seborrheic Dermatitis cause white spots they appear on my Shoulders I also get a load of red spots on my back and Shoulders ive also bean getting a shaking in my right arm for the past couple of days
