Avatar f tn Hi, I had stayed away from cell phones for a good few years because of ear pain and head pressing and overall weird feelings in my head. Now, very recently I re-started using the cell phone only for written messages and voice out loud. I have been getting trigeminal neuralgia pain since then. This is my first search about this.
Avatar f tn I know that pretty much all teens have cell phones and even younger people have them nowadays, but even though I'm 18 I really don't like them. I mean I don't like speaking on any phone due to my extreme social phobia from my Asperger's Syndrome. I agree with SassyLassie that a cell phone is not on my lists of wants or needs. I love communicating via Pen and Paper or by Email a whole lot better. That is how I express myself the best.
Avatar m tn Unfortunately, we are surround by all sorts of pollutants. There is also some radiation form computers and electric static and we get some radiation from any electrical equipment. Use your mobile phone as little as possible if you do feel any discomfort. I have one for emergency use only and it was great to have been able to contact someone for help when my car tyre suddenly burst during one journey (twice).
Avatar n tn Hi ladies! Just wondering if you use your cell phone pretty often and if you consider it safe while being prego. My husband and I only have cell phones so everyone calls us on them and we both use them alot. This month I used 2,400 minutes!! That's the most I've ever used, I average around 1,500 a month...don't know why it was so high this month...anyway, do you think this is fine? My doc said she doesn't know of any problems associated with cell phones and being pregnant.
Avatar m tn (although, I have no men friends outside of friends of both my husband and I that I would communicate with phone calls or text messages.) so, this falls under the category of suspicious. I'd want to know why she's locking up her phone NOW.
Avatar m tn Additionally, we are often in a company vehicle that has a mobile radio system in the vehicle and carry a company cell (iPhone) that I general put into a pocket compartment in a vest on my right side. On top of that I carry two additional cell phones (one android smart phone, the other another iPhone) that I usually will put in a side thigh pocket for each leg in my tactical pants.
1310633 tn?1430224091 Yeah, I might have to kick start that old brick and look it up. (Honestly, I will need a tutorial from one of my kids. My phone is way smarter than I am and I am not smarter than a 5th grader.
Avatar n tn I've read the same thing about the dangers of cell phones... potential radiation exposure and all. But, it's mainly in relation to the actual usage (like, right up next to your ear) and, over a prolonged period of time (several years). I've also read similar concerns about handsfree bluetooth devices. Anyhow, I suspect that the jury is still out on all of this... and we won't know for certain until many more years down the road.
Avatar f tn arm and hand problems being caused by the constant use of video games, cell phones, and computers. To use them often requires terrible postures, such as neck craning, and if you repeat them a lot you can get problems. Go see your doc if you're concerned enough, but try not playing video games for a week and if it goes away you'll have your answer.
10947 tn?1281404252 I am concerned about this application as it encourages pregnant women to use cell phones. The State of Maine is having hearings next week March 2, 2010 on a bill called The Children's Wireless Protection Act. Cell phones HAVE BEEN PROVEN to cause brain tuomors with prolonged exposure. (For more information read "Cell Phones and Brain Tumors 15 Reasons for Concern" a reference rich and published paper, available at www.thepeoplesinitiative.org also google Dr.
1429890 tn?1312386007 Can cell phones have glitches in text messages? Example: Getting programmed into someone's phone in contacts along with a photo. And, that person getting text messages from someone that isn't you. And, that someone texting that person back and sending a inappropriate photo and telling you they sent it to you but you NEVER got anything. And, that person saying oh well, it doesn't really matter.
Avatar f tn ve noticed increased seizure activity and forgetfulness. Also, irritability and nervousness. Has anyone else had this or similar experience? Also, if so, what/if anything helped?
623156 tn?1322865851 I get these weekly newsletters about fertility and I just received one tonight and it read out that men that use hands free devices with their cell phones if the actual cell phones are close to their testicles while using the device there have been studies done showing this can cause infertility. I think this is amazing. I would never thought that with all this technology we could make these devices that aren't harmful to our bodies. I'm just mind blown.
Avatar f tn //www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0378427405000925?via%3Dihub From the study that was done with rats used as surrogates for humans, it was concluded: "These results indicate that 900 MHz EMF emitted by cellular telephones decrease serum TSH and T3–T4 levels." The Abstract available did not provide actual data showing the specific effect. I tried to locate the full article, but was unsuccessful. If you find anything more specific, please let us know.
Avatar f tn But I also think Facebook and cell phones have made it easier for people to cheat. I mean someone may be tempted but not do it for fear of being found out but technology has given them the advantage.
620048 tn?1358018235 just need some suggestions to help me decide which phone I should get. I know nothing about cell phones now and my brain is all messed up but I still enjoy working with techie stuff. Once I saw someone on here talking about a smart phone.

5501743 tn?1390296087 I'm pretty sure this is bad, but i have a habit of putting my cell phone on my belly. There are so many stories on the news about cell phones damaging your body. Does anybody do the same or worry about the same thing? It's a habit I'm trying break!
Avatar n tn For the past year plus when I look at a smaller screened cell phone I almost immediately get something similar to what I see described as vertigo, often a quick onset short lived pain in my head and sometimes nausea. This happens regardless of my phones visual assistance settings (text size, background or font colors, etc) or position I look at. I can even move the phone in front of me without changing my head position and the symptoms hit.
Avatar f tn What do kids that age like to do for fun now days? When I was that age it was the time before cell phones, laptops, and gaming consoles were just coming out... I am old and was unable to have kids of my own. My step-brother's kids are much younger, so any advice would be much apricated.
561964 tn?1283798616 s not just what I have read about how a nodule can come to be which is by exposure to radiation. How about the cell phones and the cordless phones? I hold the phone on my left. My nodule was found at the beginning of the year by ultrasound. I never felt it at all. It measured 2.3 cm (about 1 inch). From what my Endo and even the surgeon who did my PT, said I had it for years. Ok, how long is years? I have had a cell phone now for 4 1/2 yrs and talked in it ALOT.
Avatar f tn My forehead feels like it is sagging and pushing down on my eyebrows by the end of the day. Then after a nights sleep i wake up and its gone. After 6 to eight hours of being awake it slowly sets in again getting worse until i go to bed. If i push up on my forehead it give me a little relief but its only temporary. Also my left a little eye throbs as i lay down but after a nights sleep all symptoms subside. Could this be sinuses?
4331946 tn?1355816857 I never really take into account what you should and shouldn't do, besides the serious stuff like drinking and medications. But if you want to be cautious, I wouldn't have skin to skin contact with cell phones and laptops.
Avatar n tn Check out the possibility that she is electromagnetically sensitive -- reacting to cell phones, wifi or cordless phones and even electrical devices.
Avatar f tn I used to have an ear ache and it went away when Jupiter went behind the Sun, The guy down the street had a car accident, a Solar CME hit the atmosphere, the TV station I was watching turned to a commercial....ect.... Your phone could have had it's volume turned up too high, you could have been pushing against your ear too hard, using it at the wrong angle to your ear, out gassing of the plastic and adhesives, and many other possibilities.
637356 tn?1301924822 We have maxed out on our Verizon Plan for the max. # of phones allowed (I have 4 kids + myself and hubby) so we also have a Verizon Pay as you Go and add the unlimited texting to it for $10.00 and are very happy with it AND if you text but don't use the phone you don't dig into the $1.00 for the day to use the phone. This way a $30 card goes a long way for us.
Avatar f tn There was a video leading the Drudge Report on Thursday afternoon of a poor black woman with messed-up teeth saying she's voting for President Obama because he gave her a free phone, and perhaps you have some questions about it. Questions like: Is this video racist? Is Obama really giving away phones? Is anyone really bothered by these Obama Phones? And, come on, this is just blatant racism, right? We'll try to answer them. Is this Obama Phone phone real? Sort of.
172023 tn?1334672284 It is extremely hard, if not impossible to navigate the site if you are accessing from an internet capable cell phone. Perhaps a limited version w/o pics and graphics and with working links? I noticed while I was gone, some things worked but most did not.
953164 tn?1248071879 I wouldn't worry about it so much. I recently read an article that radiation from cell phones and lap tops don't affect the the unborn baby unless it's direct for long period of times. And still no study has confirmed this. Think of the many working mothers who sit at computers for 8 or more hours straight and on the cell phone constantly because the cell phone is the house phone. They are fine and so are their babies. Don't worry so much.
