Avatar n tn CCHR was founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology. While the video presents things that are definitely worth thinking about. It is an extremely biased video. Many of their points remind me more of the recent campaign ads that generalized everything to get a point across. Just be aware if you are watching the video that there is more than one (or two or three) sides to the debate.
Avatar m tn If something as trivial as that will prevent you from obtaining something that will help....you are not in withdrawals.

Avatar f tn ok I have had the stress test for abnormal EKG, I passed this test with flying colors but have not yet heard the results. Would this be a good thing?
Avatar f tn Had a stress test there is a large sized anterior walldefect extending to the apex and septal wall. There is a samll sized distal anteroapical defecdt extending to the septal wall. Small sized fixed distal anteroapical defect textending to the septal wall consistent wiht myocardial scar. What does all this mean. I an 70 year old female with family heart history.
Avatar f tn 55 into the test when I passed out. In that 4:55, I had frequent pvc's; 2 PVC couplets and 1 PVC triplet and my QRS segment of PVC's narrowed substantially with exercise, widening again in recovery (180 ms to 80 ms) which I was told was a problem.
Avatar f tn My mom went to see a Heart Specialist and he recommended the Adenosine Stress Test. She is not having any chest pains, but this he said would make sure there are no blockages. I would like more information about this procedure and is it dangerous? Another doctor had recommended a stress test that involved putting something in her veins and it would make her heart speed up. This Heart Specialist said no, and that this Adenosine Stress Test is not the same thing.
Avatar f tn Anyone know?
Avatar n tn s why they are doing the cath. I have no blockages yet have EF 17% and stress test images show severe damage and restricted perfusion. If it is a blockage, and they can stent it, you should be pretty much back to "normal" shortly after. Disclaimer: I am NOT a doctor. Do not rely on my opinion or advise. Consult a licensed professional. Batteries not included. Some assembly required. Oh, and just for fun, ask your cardiologist if his work comes with a lifetime warranty!
Avatar m tn Herpes Elisa antibodies test IgG type specific 11/14/2012 - result: 1.89 (labcorp) ^same test (same location, labcorp) 11/20/2012 - result: 1.65 HSV2 IGG INHIBITION,ELISA (quest labs) 01/2013 - result: The HSV-2 IgG screening assay was repeated at Focus Diagnostics, and the result was not positive (i.e., the index was <1.10); thus, the inhibition study result could not be determined.
Avatar m tn m not a needle guy and I actually passed out and hit my head on the wall when they were putting the IV in - prior to the stress test. I freaked the nurses out. I insisted on getting the stress test done after that and the cardiologist agreed that it would be a good "worst case" scenario. So I still got up and ran on the treadmill for them. I want to say that I ran for 15 minutes. But they're monitoring you BP/HR etc so don't worry. They're not going to kill you!
Avatar n tn yesterday I went to see my local optometrist, and i explained my visual problems in detail to him. despite all indicators pointing to a retinal problem, he refused to dilate my eyes. when i asked why, he told me that my symptoms were "spiritual" in nature, and proceeded to give me scientology brochures. when i mentioned this to his techs, they kind of rolled their eyes and that was that. is this acceptable or does he need to be reported?

Avatar n tn I'm going to go in and have a cortisol stress test done in the morning. They test my levels and then inject me with something then test it again. Has anyone done this test and does it show accurately for AF? Thanks.
Avatar m tn I just got a stress test because of some pains I had in my chest. On a followup appointment with my cardiologist, he indicated that my test results were normal. In fact, the first pages summary of my results looked ok. Here are conclusions: 1. Normal exercise dual-isotope myocaridal perfusion study. 2. Normal gated SPECT left vetricular wall motion study. 3. Normal gated SPECT left ventricular ejection fraction. 4. Negative exercise electrocardiogram. 5. Moderate exercise tolerance. 6.
Avatar f tn I am new here. I am 44 and overweight, never smoked. Have had a lot of brain surgeries for Chiari Malformation/Hydrochepalus. Recently I have had shortness of breath...and so test showed low oxygen saturation upon exherstion. Test of lung were unremarkable...except for a "floppy" trachea that collapse by 50% on exhaling. Just has a chemical stress test done and am waiting to see a cardiologist on Friday.
212161 tn?1599427282 am so stressed about a nuclear/stress test friday i have thrown myself into anxiety over it . not sure why i have to come off my timilol pills for my pac thursday been on them for 15 years or more that scares me.
Avatar n tn They want to do a chemical stress test using lexiscan drug. I am terrified, should I be? I read so many bad experiences with this type of test.. I heard the drug stops your heart...
Avatar m tn The stress test was stopped while monitoring your system and that almost always indicates there is evidence of ischemia (lack of adequate blood flow) and may be the result of vessel occlusion, and sometime it is evidence of an old heart attack The test is not very reliable for the conditions named, however, it is considered unsafe to continue without the possibility of injury. If you felt a little pressure in the chest that would be additional evidence for some blockage.
