I went to my doctor and she said that they are my tongues papillae and that it is rather strep or scarlet fever and in that case the throat infection might reappear in a couple of weeks or said that it could also be because I could not eat so much and in combination with the antibiotics it might be normal behavior of the tongue after having an infection in the mouth area. She told me to just mouthwash with chamomile and during the last 2 weeks it started slowly going away.
Pernicious anemia, which is caused by a deficiency of vitamin B12, may also make the tongue look pale and smooth. The first sign of scarlet fever may be a change from the tongue's normal color to a strawberry, and then raspberry, color. A strawberry-red tongue in a young child may also be a sign of Kawasaki disease. A smooth red tongue and painful mouth may indicate pellagra, a type of malnutrition caused by a deficiency of niacin (vitamin B3) in the diet.
Usually it will also cause white coating on the tongue which sometimes looks creamy or like cottage cheese residue. Any age person can get this condition. If the spots were small and splotchy streaks and mixed with red streaks it could be a strep infection. As for the thrush--Sometimes when a person takes too many antibiotics (if the child has been on any) they can kill off the good bacteria in the mouth as well as the bad, thus causing the thrush infection to grow.
Fever of 101 F (38.3 C) or higher, often with chills Very sore and red throat, sometimes with white or yellowish patches Difficulty swallowing Enlarged glands in the neck (lymph nodes) that are tender to the touch Nausea or vomiting Headache... I got my medical book out and the symptoms seemed similar to that of Scarlet fever so checked his mouth and he did have white tongue. Today he still has temperature and the rash has spread down legs and arms, blotchy in places but he is rough now. I belive he is on the correct medication as he has antibiotics - just wondered whether I needed to see doctor again because if it is Scarlet Fever or a mild form of he is very infectious.
It looks like a sunburn or rugburn, if you press your finger it goes white then back to red and warm to the touch. She had a fever of 102.8 that night and the next 2 days the rash became worse. I brought her to the doctor but had no explanation for her rash and said the strep throat came back negative. Just said it was viral. I gave her an Avenoo oatmeal treatment bath and that cause her to become itchier than ever and became all red. Anti-itch lotion have been stinging her.

Lupus can similarly react badly to foods so it's not a guaranteed thing. Scarlet fever usually comes with the high fever and doesn't go away, usually gets worse and develops into a full body rash also a doctor should have seen it spot on. Kind of hard to miss. Fifths disease can give you that "slapped" face look. That's actually distinctive of it. But again I think the rash is supposed to spread and not get better. It also usually comes with a low fever.
Signs and Symptoms The classic textbook symptoms of Strep Throat are sore throat, a white film covering the tonsils, tender and enlarged neck lymph nodes, and fever of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. These classic symptoms, however, are seen in only 10% of the cases. A Strep infection could present with any combinations of the above symptoms. The symptoms start about three to four days after exposure to the bacteria.
for strep. He did not notice any enlarged lymph nodes in my neck. I also developed a white coating on my tongue, that appeared like a plaque. I was given antibiotics and the throat problems cleared about three days later, and the plaque retreated off my tongue. I always try to practice safer sex, but this incident really scares me, do you think it could be ARS given only the "slight positive" on the strep test? Should I obtain further testing? Thanks for your help.
It has been about 9 days since then, and the neck pain still lingers faintly. The fatigue and white tongue are also present. As well as the rash which comes and goes. I was tested for HIV in May(4th) and that was to complete my three month window period in testing. Between then and now, I only slept with one person and it was protected. However, I engaged in oral sex with some one else as well. That was throughout the month of may.
a little before thanksgiving I noticed i had a cold sore on my lip, I didn't think to much of it so after sometime my throat started hurting and I noticed that is was white stuff extracting from my tongue. that creeped me out alot then a few days later the back of my throat got swallowing then i noticed that i had a bump on both sides of my cheek in my mouth. Other causes can include bacterial endocarditis, post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis, rheumatic fever, and scarlet fever. These conditions can be evaluated for respective with an echocardiogram and kidney tests, including analyzing the urine sediment. Sugar in the urine is most commonly due to diabetes. Repeat fasting blood sugars, or a glucose tolerance test can be considered to confirm the diagnosis.
Night sweats, fever, and oral ulcers (very large canker sores, thrush, inflamed papules on the tip of my tongue, and recurring geographic tongue). After 3 weeks my night sweats mostly disappeared, as did the canker sores, and thrush, but the inflamed papules and geographic tongue persisted and fatigue, unexplained bruising, general weakness and occasional heart palpitations set in.
I would say 8 times in the last year. A few times he gets a rash with it and this time he got white bumps all over his tongue. He feels miserable when he gets it. His nose is now clear but he always sounds like his head is full. He has had frequent bloody noses since he was a toddler and last year in school, he was hit with a football and his nose bled so bad they called us to come get him as they thought he needed to go to the hospital. We got the bleeding stopped.
Thank you both. I guess the guilt is too much to bear.

I've tried Brushing back that far, picking in that pocket with a Q-tip, using a sterile rounded tweezer, gargling, but it is deep in the pocket. I'm scared, and the back of my tongue has a slight white/yellowish coating on it. I am a smoker which is not helping. The taste in my mouth is horrible, but especially when I suck up from the back of my throat (sorry to sound so gross), & clear my throat.
I have random pain on both sides of rib cage and lower back into buttocks, had severe bouts of acid reflux, yellow on back of tongue, swollen pale/white tongue. At its worst I can't eat or drink the nausea is so bad, indigestion, I get chills for hours at a time but with no fever that I can tell, and bad headaches. None of these symptoms are relieved by bowel movements and I don't get cramping.
Nasal congestion alone doesn't cause obstructive sleep apnea, but it can definitely aggravate it. If your palate and tongue structures are predisposed to falling back easily due to sleeping on your back and muscle relaxation in deep sleep, then having a stuffy nose can aggravate further collapse downstream. Untreated obstructive sleep apnea can lead to chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, weight gain, high blood pressure, heart disease, heart attack and stroke.

The point is that if we want to stay clean and have any kind of life that's worth living, we need to do something more than simply NOT US E. Sobriety is not about white-knuckling and resisting cravings day after day. It's about achieving some sort of spiritual or emoptional rebirth that makes living without drugs actually feel better and more vibrant than living with drugs.
I have had this for approximately 8 years. Very debilitating as when I get warm, just sitting outside, running errands, going in and out of a/c. It gets so bad that my throat, eyes, lips, tongue & ears even swell. The throat swelling started about 4 years ago and my epi pen definately helps halt the progression. I take Zyrtec every day for the itch and a couple of benedryls before my workout but still manage to scare everyone in the gym.
just in case it is psittacosis (otherwise known as parrot fever) as my white blood count is slightly elevated and the test was normal by only one point. I did have parrots, but they were negative for it, but it's airborne, so I assume you could get it just being in a pet store. Two rounds of antibiotics brought my white blood count down a little, but did nothing for the cough.
11 years ago i was diagnosed with glandular fever and 3 months later contracted ross river virus via a mosquito bite. A type of viral arthritus that attacks the immune system, joints and muscles. I was in bed for 4 weeks straight and was in so much continual aching pain that i couldnt change the tv with the remote as my fingers hurt to much. The worst joints seem to be the ones most used. I then discovered N+ and began on 6 a day.
