Don't worry. scarlet
fever is caused by the strep bacteria, and after a strep infection people sometimes get peeling of the skin of the palms
. It lasts a while while the skin grows a new layer, and everything is fine, as I'm sure it will be with your daughter too. This takes place a few weeks after the infection, and does not mean that the infection is still there, so no antibiotics are needed, or any other treatment, for that matter. By all means check with the doctor, if you're concerned.
