Hello, I have asthma since I'm 4 years old. Curiously enough only in Portugal. Now I'm 40 years old. In Autumn and Winter it increases and in Spring and Summer it tends to slow down or disappear for a while. Recently I had to go to the Hospital because the VENTILAN aerosol was not producing any effect.

I take Advair, (Fluticasone propionate / Salmeterol) once a daily inhaled. My asthma is not controlled without Advair, but is stable with one dose daily. I would like to take Harmine alkaloids (Harmine, Harmaline), but I'm not sure if Salmeterol is safe to take with Harmine alkaloids as they are MAOI (reversible MAOI however) are they safe to combine? It was last February. I don't remember it exactly. I believe it also involved salmeterol, which is a component of Advair. It was recommended that they be used when nothing else worked, and then only for short periods. I do know from talking to people that inhaled steroids are often prescribed willy nilly for minor complaints. My brother told me he had a little mucus (very minor chronic bronchitis which didn't bother him much) and his doctor gave him Advair.

Been diagnosed with non allergic rhinitis, feline dander, housedust etc allergies. Also diagnosed with excercise induced asthma in the 90's. About a month ago wheezing. Doctor has me on 50mcg fluticasone/salmeterol powder am and pm,plus albuterol every 4 hrs. I haven't been using rescue every 4 hrs. When I talk I start coughing and choking and have to spit. I really like Irish names, particularly ones that are not used much any more, even here in Ireland. My friend's little girl is named Fia and it means 'deer' or 'wild thing'. I also love Saoirse (meaning freedom), Gráinne (a derivative of the word of love), Roisín (meaning little rose) Reiltín (means little star) and Aoife. You'll have to look up pronunciation of all of these online, as the Irish language has a completely different set of pronunciation rules to English.

The name is cute. ... as for pronunciation people may get confused how to pronounce it because of the I.....I would think you could say it 3 ways ale-onna, ale-anna or alayna. I agree with huluhutgirl on the pronunciations - it really depends on your intentions. From experience I encourage you to choose a name that isn't confusing or requires constant correction in spelling or pronunciation. As a recipient of such a name, it's frustrating even after all these years.

There are reliever inhalers which work for up to 12 hours after taking each dose. They include salmeterol (brand name Serevent) and formoterol (brand name Atimos). Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.

I have tried advair (first medication we tried) but discontious its use because of cost (I didn't have prescription drug coverage and $120 every 2 weeks was a little too hard for a university student like me). It's not that my asthma is worse per se .... it's just that the cigraette smoke triggers it and I'm having a lot more exposure and thus triggers -> which is making me use the rescue inhaler more. Now that I'm reading my comment though ....

First of all, sorry for my poor English. I have some question about HIV test. I asked my doctor about the method of HIV and aks her is it EIA? She said yes. She spoke the whole name of the method. Pronunciation was like "en-ter-tise" blood test....Is that kind of EIA? One more thing, do all the clinics have license to do HIV tests?

It sounds like you don't like the name 100% but feel obliged to use it. Maybe in that case, you would be able to use it as the middle name and not the first name? Then the spelling wouldn't matter that much. I am not too big on giving a kid a name that is said in the usual way and trying to make it "clever" or "unique" by changing the spelling.

Could b unisex.....I just love out the box names....I think with a strong middle name it would a great fit.

Doesnt seem that hard to me. My whole life my name has been pronounced wrong. My parents are the first to correct people. If its someone i will never see again i just let it go. My friends and others in my life need to get it right though.
