I take Advair, (Fluticasone propionate / Salmeterol) once a daily inhaled. My asthma is not controlled without Advair, but is stable with one dose daily. I would like to take Harmine alkaloids (Harmine, Harmaline), but I'm not sure if Salmeterol is safe to take with Harmine alkaloids as they are MAOI (reversible MAOI however) are they safe to combine? i have had asthma since i was born, and it was not a problem for me until i was 8 years old. i couldnt run and when i did, my left arm would turn numb and i would feel my chest violently gasping for air, then i faint. i didnt run since then, and i lived my teenage and early adulthood fine, didnt need my inhalers and when i felt i did need them i would use them once or twice... i have 3 children, and only with my first pregnancy i was admitted to hospital unable to breath.
Flovent is a corticosteroid used to reduce inflammation in the airways to help control asthma. Hello all, I am glad to be here a part of this forum as I get to talk about Asthma and other latest research on asthma. My 4 year kid has been suffering from asthma and every year we end up in the hospital with something that has been complicated by asthma.We have attended the asthma clinic and learned ways to prevent attacks, what triggers attacks etc. I thought I was on top of the asthma until our emergency visit and then I started thinking there was probably a lot more to learn than I knew.
