I have wheezing, shortness of breath. Doctor has prescribed LAVOLIN inhaler - it works for a very short while and my wheezing, breathing difficulty returns back again. Can anyone please help?

Another posibility is a reactive airway disease. That is really more of a collection of lung conditions where the lungs are too reactive to harmless substances. It is important to rule out other reactive airway issues to get the propper treatment. There are other conditions that cause broncho-constriction besides asthma.

One additional note, regarding your history of having had “a couple of TIA’s”. It is not rare for persons with a history of DVT to have TIA’s, the cause being a communication within the heart between the left and right sides of the heart that allows clots to crossover from right to left and then go to the brain. Such a communication is called a patent foramen ovale and such is not uncommon.

thank you for your comments brooke, i also was told this by the doctor too but i have not taken my salbutamol in 3 days and are still getting these symptoms. i was told the effects of salbutamol last only a short while. thank you so much for your input, it is much appriciated.

m interested in hearing from anybody who has had similar symptoms, or a similar course of action before getting a diagnosis. I have never really heard of tinnitis or vertigo being symptoms of MS, and those are the main reasons I even started pursuing medical help to begin with. The doctors have ruled out some explanations (like the acoustic neuroma), but there are still other possibilities on the table (Meniere's disease, or even high blood pressure for example).

I've been noticing a lot of leg jerks/twitches and other feelings of shakiness lately. I'm a 26 yo female in good health, and I recently had a physical with blood work. The follow up - I’ve been tested for lots, I’ve had my thyroid levels checked, metadrenalines, brain MRI (due to chronic migraine since the onset of blood pressure problems). I’ve been sent to a specialist cardiologist and awaiting results. At the moment they’ve only found minor abnormalities such as iron deficiency, borderline b12 deficiency, low phosphate levels, and heart has an RBBB. Hi all, I am a 21 year old male living in Toronto, Ontario and do not smoke. I have severe allergies to most trees. For the past 6 years I have developed a chronic dry cough in the fall season until it snows in the winter. When I blow my nose, there is a sticky white mucus that comes out. I have been told by the allergist that this is asthma and allergies. I am taking 2 puffs of QVAR in the morning and night, half a tablet of reactine and singular at night, and Avamys in the morning.
