Hi, green mucus is usually associated with viral infections, generally, mucolytics along with antibiotics (to prevent bacterial superimposed infections) are prescribed. Try steam inhalation along with ambroxol and bronchodilator (terbutaline, salbutamol etc) to ease out coughing.
Better consult doctor to rule out bronchoconstriction. Prolonged cough should be investigated.
I am not really familiar with aerocort, but I did do a little research on it. Aerocort appears to be a combination inhaled corticosteroid (ICS - as indicated by the "cort" in its name) and salbutamol (a long acting broncho dilater). This would be similar to Advair or Symbicort. You cannot be addicted to this medicine. You have a chronic disease and this medicine keeps your lungs open so that you can breathe. It is necessary for you to live.

I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. However, i found that I don't have the common syptoms as asthmatic people .e.g wheezing or coughing, and it doesn't disturb my sleeping as well. I just feel the bronchi contract and chest tightness which go away after few minutes later without taking the inhaler. I've taken the inhaler before but i found it no use, so i didn't use it anymore.
I have been suffering from Pollen Allergy from almost 6 years. This started when I started to live in Islamabad. Here pollen allergy counts in spring are at very high from Paper Mulberry. Due to this I have a running nose and asthametic symptoms featuring suffocation and watered eyes. All this is reduced when i stay indoor.
Last night I ate no food after 5pm that I could react to and around 9 pm I used the blue puffer (Ventolin Salbutamol Sulpate Inhalation Aerosol) and and what was left of my red puffer (Fovent flutisacone propionate - corticosteroid) - AND I immediately broke out in hives and itching everywhere including on my tongue and I had trouble swollowing. I took an anti-histamine and the hives lasted about 90 minutes.

I am just curious if there is anyone out there doing IP chemo. I am currently doing Topotecan with Cisplatin and they recently added Avastin. The cycle is every 4 weeks and the Topo is delivery over 3 consecutive days which is challenging. My CA125 has responded positively since the cisplatin was added. I was just wondering if anyone is doing IP treatmnets with other combinations.
I had 6 IV of Taxatere 6 IP of Cisplatin and 3 IP of Taxol for good luck ha ha I am 16 months post chemo but I will tell you the joint and muscle pain is there. I am an active 55 year young just finished the Danskin triatholon yesterday but I wasn't breaking any records. So yes it is harder on you and is not a guarantee. But that is what I needed and I got it.

I was diagnosed with STage 3c ovca in August, had optimal debulking and IP port put in. We started chemo in Sept Taxol/carbo and I leaked out the vagina the first chemo. A cuff repair was done and we tried on cycle 2 with another leak. The surgeon did laparacopy and replaced the tube which was sitting on the cuff and put it around the belly button. I was pleased because I had extensive surgery including Sigmoid colon resection and a small piece of small bowel removed.
It was decided that this was an ideal time to do a Lap procedure at NYU and have an IP port put in. This will be followed by IP topotecan the following week, three days in a row every 3-4 weeks. My doctor feels this will be the most effective way to proceed. Has anyone out there had this procedure and subsequent treatment? I would like to know what I am in store for now!

He considers that her actual treatment has begun after surgery which is why he is pushing for 3 more treatments to make it a total of 6 after surgery? For now he is inclined towards 3 IP treatments by giving Day 1 IP Cisplatin and Day 8 IP Taxol since she has already had 6 treatments with IV taxol he does not want to give this on Day 1. Would you agree with treatment plan?
